Questions

Have just been told that CD writing is not included in most recent Audition update.  Unfortunately, the only indication is that the program crashes upon initiating the writing (all other aspects of the CD prep seem to be fine).  Would be great to provide notice in the program...

I normally use a different DAW and so am not too familiar with Audition but a client rejected a file saying it was too low in level and showed a screen shot from Audition to illustrate it. When I playthis file in any other DAW (Reaper, ProTools, Logic) and run it through an RMS meter, I get the same reading within 0.2dB of each other that being -20dB RMS-I However, the screen shot the client sent us from Audition showed that it was reading -23dB Total RMS in Match Loudness.I've opened the file in my copy of Audition CC and if I load it into Match Loudness it shows as being -23dB. However, if I scan the file in Amplitude Statistics, it says the Total RMS Amplitude is -20dB.Why the difference and which is correct?I was wondering if the fact that it is exactly a 3dB difference was something to do with Pan Law as the file in question is Mono single channel and wondered if one was processing it as Dual Mono or Stereo and hence 3dB difference but I can't find anything about how Mat

If you open a file or multiple files in Audition 24.4.1.3 the last file closed stays locked in Windows 11 until you open another file in Audition or close Audition.  This did not happen in Audition CS6. I just upgraded to Audition 24 from CS6. 

Can I fix the timeline view to a set amount of time, like 5 seconds or something? As I'm recording it zooms in continuously.

I have use of (2) computers with my Audition CC account. I want to transfer one of then to a new laptop computer. How do I do that?

Hello!First let me apologize, as I am not an audio person, so I'm not going to get terminology perfect here. I record a podcast every week, and I don't change my settings at all. I run from my mic into a mixer, and then from that mixer into my soundcard. I also record this podcast with two other people who join me remotely via a video conference call. Some weeks we have no problems. Other weeks we will be recording along fine, and suddenly (seemingly) Audition will start "capping" the recording for lack of a better term. What I mean is that it will start clamping the waveform so that the peaks cap out at a certain level as seen just below the pink line that I have added in this image. A "healthy" recording looks morel like this: When I hit record and we start talking, there are no flat edges like the top image, and the lines go far above the pink line like they do in the lower image, but at a certain point Audition almost tries to correct something and starts clampi

Hi, I'm looking for a script or guide to automate an iterative process in Audition where I insert variable tracks into a multitrack session with a bed file, then export the resulting unique file. I have a regular process where I create a bed file (containing music + VO), then insert a variable file (containing VO only) and export it. I have a photo below of what the process looks like for clarity. The problem is that I need to do this regularly for 100+ unique wav files.   I'm wondering if there's a way to automate this process in Audition where you can iteratively pull the variable files from a folder/batch process and insert them at a specific timestamp into a multitrack session containing the bed file, then export the session to a wav file. It also needs to be in a multitrack so that I can duck the music in the bed file for the dialogue in the variable file. If anyone has an idea of how to do this or knows of something that accomplishes a similar goal, pleas

For some reason when I was exporting the audio from an adobe audition session to my usb stick, I got pkf files instead of mp3 and I cant get those files back because the computers where i had the session has deepfreeze on it. I am just wondering if there is any possibility that I can convert a pkf file to wav or mp3 or if i could open it . Ive tried with the adobe audition that i have on my own laptop and it says it wasnt supported.

Hi guys, I'm admittedly new to Audition- but I'm using it to keep track of and mix/master the sound effects for a game me and my small indie team are making. There are about 100 sound effects with varying volumes that I need to balance in a single file (which I've done in a .sesx session file) because balancing them in all different files is a nightmare. Putting them under their categories (for example, gameplay, UI, a specific character, etc) as Tracks in Audition makes the balancing quite simple. However, I'm having a gigantic problem. When I select a single clip, let's say "arrow_shoot" sound effect, I right click, go to Export Mixdown > Selected Clips; then I define the export settings (we need to use lossy .mp3 unfortunately as it's a mobile game), and say export. Now, the name is the problem I'm having. Because the name HAS to be arrow_shoot, as that is the programming reference inside the video game. Hello everybody, I have a strange problem. I bought myself a Rodecaster Pro for my new podcast but when I open a new multitrack session in Audition, I can't change the input/output per channel. Simply because I don't see those two little arrows in the track! I found a tutorial where they said you had to zoom in on the track to see the arrows but for some reason that doesn't work for me. I also added a screenshot I took from a Youtube tutorial so you guys can see what I mean. Anybody who can help me? Thanks in advance! Greetings,Vince

I was working on editing a podcast episode when suddenly the sound cut out. I could see waves but not but when I pressed play, no sound and the level meter didn't move at all. I'm tring to apply a distortion effect to a clip and having it gradually increase in intensity by the end of the clip.  However, I cannot find an envelope SPECIFICALLY for the distortion effect, not the volume nor the pan envelope. 

I have a .csv listing my marker names, start, duration, cue, and description.The .csv should be able to be imported, but Audition refuses to accept it. So I have a few questions:-Can the markers be imported to a session?-My timeline is BPM, does it have to be a timecode, like 00:00:00? My spreadsheet is BPM such as 15:1.00-What are the columns named? I have seen so many varieties, some with an "end" column some without, etc. Does anyone know the exact column names and which ones we need?-Is there an easier way to make markers in a session? For my current project I would like every quarter beat to have a marker, but doing it by hand seems so unnecessary and time-consuming.

I'm using the latest version of Windows 11 Pro and the latest version 25.2 of Adobe Audition.  When I try to export my audio file to burn a CD, I get an error message about audition.exe needing to close.  It happens with both of my Blu-ray drives.  This is a brand new problem.  Any ideas?  Did the latest update ruin CD burning?

I'm trying to add station (audio) tags to generic sweepers in a single process. I'll need to do this several times over with different station (audio) tags, so streamlining it will help speed the process. I want to add this station tag at the end of a group of audio files at once, if possible.

  I create a 30 minute car show and I was wondering if it is possible to have Audition create a music mix with songs I have selected.  What I am wanting to happen is for Audition to sequence the audio file with a transition mix so that the music flows for the 30 minutes.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks  

Hallo Community, ich wollte mein SAMSON G Track USB-Mikrofon mit Audition nutzen um ein paar Sprachlyouts einzusprechen, aber die Qualität ist unterirdisch schlecht und ich weiß nicht wo ich das in den Einstellungen verbessern soll - irgendwie habe ich alles ausprobiert. Hört sich an, als hätte ich über das eingebaute Mikro der Webcam eingesprochen. Mit Garage-Band ist die Qualität deutlich besser, es nervt nur, das man dort keine Zeitangabe hat und letztendlich muss es eh in Audition übertragen und gemischt werden. Ich arbeite am Mac Studio M1 Max unter Ventura. Für Ideen wäre ich dankbar....

Question. Has there been or is there planned an expansion and improvement of voice generation in the Effects > Generatte > Speech path in Adobe Audition? One male and one female voice which are ridiculously robotic doesn't provide anything like a realistic mockup for a script. Just curious.

I am attempting to use a ZOOM LIVETRACK L-8 multitrack recorder as an input interface on my MACPRO LAPTOP with my Adobe Auditon CC edition. The Livetrack L-8 driver is not showing up as a option n the Audition Hardware input Panel, after installing the zoom driver.I have tried uninstall and reinstall, no luck.ANyone know how to solve this ?

I've got a reverb on the effects rack of track 1, and I want to be able to ramp the reverb gain using an envelope. I can't find any way to do this, other than duplicate the track so I have one with reverb and one without, and mix between the two. Surely there's a more elegant way?I've experimented with all the Rack envelopes, and none do what I need. The one that comes closest is Rack Power, but that's basically a hard on/off control for rack effects, so it won't allow for gradually ramping the reverb gain up and down.For absolute clarity, I need to be able to make the track ramp from dry to wet and back again at various point defined by keyframes on an envelope. Ideally I want the envelope to be *only* affecting the gain of the reverb, *not* the gain of the dry source track.What's the best way to achieve what I want? On an analogue mixing desk (yes, I'm that old) I'd do it either by turning the reverb send level up and down, or using a pre-fader send to the reverb unit and bringing up
