I'm just using adobe for basic editing of a wav file, same as i've done for the past few years and have never encountered this issue. I have no special plug-ins or anything, just a few small presets / hotkeys saved. Even when nothing else is running, after about 10 minutes of editing the playhead and scolling in and out is very jerky. I've tried uninstalling, updating both adobe and my Mac, but to no avail.  It's strange because it's fine when I open a file, but about 5-10 minutes in the jerk-ness starts. Any ideas? I've restarted, done a RAM reset, I don't want to reinstall my whole comptuer, but maybe that's the issue? THANKS

I am trying to record a podcast in Audition. I have three Rode PodMics connected to an Allen and Heath Zedi-10 mixer. The mixer is connected to a 2018 Macbook Pro via USB.The mixer is boosting the signal +60db and the levels sound and look great when monitored via the Zedi-10, but the waveforms in Audition come in around -24db.  You can barely hear anything.  We are recording the audio by speaking directly into the mic from about 3 inches away completely unobstructed.

Is there a way to toggle between mono and stereo during editing playback only? I record interviews and have the interviewer and interviewee on discreet left and right tracks which makes cleaning up and editing more efficient. However, I would like to be able to listen back in mono because it becomes fatiquing when editing with headphones to listen to (primarily the interviewee) in just one ear. I haven't figured out a way to do this and would appreciate any insights. Thanks.

Hi, I'm finding with the new update that when I save a file (in any format) it adds a hiss at around -42 to -43dB across the whole file. Any ideas why? I uninstalled and re-installed back to the previous version (22.1.1) and the problem was no longer there.  I'm already having to do this on After Effects and Media Encoder, because new updates break the programs, is this the new Adobe strategy?

I am having a repeated problem with Error 16 on Adobe Audition 2022, when editing audio files and attempting to save them to the existing location. This all started after updating my Macbook Pro to Monterey 12.3. Has anyone else experienced this? The permissions are set as specified in all data I have found relating to Error 16

Non riesco più ad avviare Adobe Audition 2022 che ho anche aggiornato alla versione 22.5, prima non vedeva alcuni file e secondo le istruzioni che ho visto ho reinstallato i pacchetti Visual C++ 2010. Adesso addirittura mi dà errore 0xc000007b, e mi appare il messaggio che è impossibile avviare correttamente l'applicazione. Come posso uscirne? Grazie.

Can someone tell me if Audition provides the ability to isolate/remove vocal tracks from audio/video files such as Youtube ?

Hi thereI set up quite. long multitrack timeline. I separated different parts with range markers. So far so good, but now I realize that I have forgotten one little peace of sound right at the beginning of the tracks. I now want to move all my selected tracks back in time. I can do that by selecting everything between in and out points and move it thereafter. Unfortunately I cannot move or shift multiple markers. Even worse, I can't even select more than one marker, let alone moving it.There must be a way to do this right? For example fixing the markers to the underlying tracks, or something like that?...Thanks for the help.PS: I realize that this is probably the same question, but I thought because it is quite old, I'll start a new thread.CheersMoving multiple markers at once in multitrack view

Just found this in my 'come in handy' box. Last used late 90s cutting 2 inch 24 track tape on a Studer A800. At £70 a reel you had to be sure of the cutting point.

Hello Everyone. I found this Tool, Show Preview Editior, very usefull. I noticed we dont have this Tool, Inside the Multitrack. Is there anything similiar like the Preview Editor inside the Multitrack.Thanks.

I have no idea what caused all the static in this video. I have used the same exact setup for some time and never had anything like this before. (Full disclosure, though: I had a very difficult day this past week and literally punched out my Yeti mic and knocked it across the desk. Hopefully, that was it and the replacement mic I bought is the fix for the future. Otherwise, I'll be on a challenging hunt to figure out what the heck the cause is here.)Either way, this video was done impromptu with no preparation or notes and the content came out priceless for my purposes. It won't be easy to reshoot it. Hi, I had to leave my old computer and bought me a brand new one. On my old desktop I work with Audition 1.5 for many many years now! It's again working on my new computer too, but for one exception.I can't extract audio from an MP4 anymore. I've tried several plugins like neromp4, id3lib, cool_faac, msvcr71. None is working or I'm doing it wrong....Can any one help me to get this extraction working again?

Hi,I am trying to remove pauses from a one hour lecture following the youtube video:"Auto Remove Silence from Video | NO PLUGINS | Adobe Premiere Pro" In Diagnostics I first find levels on a small segment and then push Scan.If I select the length of the video less than 25-30 mins, it creates a correct sequenceof markers, a few words each. Say, on 25 mins video it creates 337 markers. However, if I scan the whole one hour video, it gives only 42 markers 1-2 minutes long.Is there a length limit for Scan? I can split my video into 25 mins segments but this ishighly inconvenient. Can anyone help?

Upgraded to a new Macbook Pro with Apple silicon (M1).  Used the migration assistant from my old Macbook.  I had installed the Other World Computing Aura memory upgrade.  Pretty sure I've deleted all the OWC extensions.  Reinstalled OS X.  Audition crashes on launch to the spinning pinwheel of death.  Any ideas? Thanks,Tony Lima

Hi,I am exporting . encapsulated OMFs of long projects to be mixed by someone using Nuendo.First time I did it there was a single clip missing, which was fine for me to just send.But on another long episode there are loads of files missing and we cannot work out why. Has anyone had this issue before? We've tried opening them up on ProTools as well- it's definitely a problem with the OMF export. Any help greatly appreciated!Thanks,Geoff 

Help - I am using Audition CC 2017 and I am trying to record a Favorite. The error message I get says "A Favorite is currently being recorded" "to stop recording choose Favorites>stop recording" So I do that and it says " a new Favorite could not be recorded because no supported actions were recorded."I had started to record a favorite but then changed by mind and deleted the file. I think I forgot to "stop recording." When I closed down the program it asked if I wanted to save changes - I said "no." When I started up again and tried to record a new favorite I got the message that a favorite is currently being recorded. When I clicked to stop recording the other message came up - and both messages keep looping.

Me gustaria compartir con ustedes una duda que no he podido resolver con adobe audition, tengo una mesa de mezcla que a su vez funciona como interfase de sonido de 8 canales y me gustaria saber si en mi sesión multipistas puedo grabar por lo menos 4 canales por separado de manera simultanea para conseguir grabar una bateria con 4 microfonos. Agradezco de anteano su atencion.  Espero puedan ayudarme.

Hola Buendia, existe la posibilidad en Audition de que un metronomo lo pueda poner como una pisto (forma de onda) para que cuando lo exporte pueda exportar con el sonido del metronomo tambien. gracias

Hola, queria saber si alguien me puede ayudar para saber si Audition tiene alguna herramienta para cuantizar automaticamente baterias. La unica forma que encuentro es hacerla a mano. Por otro la la regla de arriba (barra y pulaciones) no tiene forma de ver en grilla? para ver las lineas para abajo donde estan las pistas?  gracias por la ayuda
