After processing RAW data with Camera Raw from Bridge and exporting it to JPEG, I cannot restart Bridge after closing it. When I check the Task Manager, I see that it remains as a background task. If I end this task, I can start Bridge again. This issue doesn't always occur, but it seems to happen more often after handling a large amount of data or working for a long time. The versions of Bridge I am using are 2021, 2024, and 2025, and my OS is Windows 11. Does anyone know the cause and solution for this problem?
Adobe Bridge does not seem to be capable of viewing or previewing .mov video files that were recorded on my Nikon Z6III camera. These are not files from iOS, but from a Nikon camera. Bridge only displays a thumbnails with a play icon in it. The videos are 4k 30P format.Lightroom does not have any issues and nicely lets me play these movies and shows me a proper preview thumbnail. All apps are latest versions as of today. Is there any way of enabling Bridge to view these files as well?Windows, Lightroom Classic, Bridge
I am having an issue using bridge where it wont generate thumbnails for 4k .mov files. They display just fine in Windows Explorer, so this is definatly an issue with Bridge.Bridge is fully up to date, and I have already tried many other suggestions including:Purging the cacheTicking/unticking 'Generate Monitor Sized Previews'Ticking/unticking 'use softeware rendering'Changing the 'do not preocess files larger than X mb' valueTrying an older version of BridgeAny other suggestions greatfully recieved!Edition Windows 10 ProVersion 20H2Installed on 11/12/2020OS build 19042.746Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0
Bridge opens with an Error Window - you click ok and it closes the app. I have removed the app via CC account and reinstalled - cleared cashes and preferences. Still the same. Any ideas?
I have a large NAS server with all my photo projects stored. I use Bridge to view, sort and rate photos in my projects. My server is not the fastest (I prioritized safety), so when I work with a project, I copy it to my local machine and do what I have to do, and put it back on the server afterwards. But sometimes, instead of moving all files back and forth, I want to just move the ratings and labels, which may have been the only things changed. But how do I do that. Where is this info stored, and how can I export it?
I'm using multiple workstations on the same network, sometimes on the same Adobe account, sometimes different accounts. I'd like my Bridge lables and ratings to transfer between machines. Is there a way to share labels and ratings?
Hiya, I just tried to open an image folder in Adobe Bridge straight from PCloud. It made a "ping" sound, did not open the files in bridge and is now lost. Its not on PCloud and I cant find it anywhere in Adibe Bridge. Any idea where it could be? I did control Z straight after I noticed that it was gone but again just a "ping" sound but nothing ... Thanks
We have begun using Custom Metadata Panel. I am building entry fields per the IPTC Core and Extension schema. When I add an entry to "Event" for the IPTC Extension list, it won't appear in the metadata window. However, when I add the data directly, it synchronizes back to the Custom Metadata Panel. To simplify, it appears I'm using the correct Property Name. However, the update only happens if I add the data manually in the files Metadata window. For reference, I added an Event field, and that updated properly in IPTC Extension. It almost seems like a cache issue. I've cleared cache in Bridge, but that didn't resolve the issue. Any ideas about what's happening? Is there a list of IPTC Extension namespace fields that match exactly to what's listed in Bridge? Thanks in advance. Doug PalmerDept of Veterans Affairs
It's not the end of the world, just annoying. Every time I use Bridge to import from camera (via cable), it imports filename.jpg and filename-1.jpg. I end up searching for "-1" and deleting those but with videos it's not so obvious. Is there a fix for this?
Lately I noticed the thumbnails in Bridge (version 15.0.2.432) do not agree with what I see in Win Explorer as you can see from the attached file. I set the color profile to Monitor in Bridge and when I open the file using another app (Irfanview) the colors agree with Explorer. Even if I do a Refresh it does not help. Opening the file in ACR or Photoshop also gives the wrong colors. I tell PS to ignore the Color Profile or convert to Color Space currently in use...Does anybody know why it's behaving like this ?
I use Bridge to cull my photos (and rate for processing) after a shoot, occasionaly I will delete a shot a actually want to keep, if I go to Edit/ undo deleteit will restore ALL the last sessions deleted shots, which means I have to cull all over again, I'm pretty sure previous versions only "un"deleted the last shot, is it possible to set a limit on the number Bridge will restore? tia
I can see images in my folders on an external drive using folder navigation -- So Bridge can see the the images. However, when I build a smart collection (or use smart collections built before upgrading Bridge) I get a message that there are no images. Reading the older boards, I tried using Edit >Find> HardDrive and that did not work. Then I tried Edit>Find>Drive>Subfolder and it found a few images. For the Smart Collection to have something to work with, it seems I need to "Find" my search term one folder at a time on the external drive. I don't image it should work this way. I checked Privacy > Files & Folder and Full Disk Access, and the settings imply that Bridge should have access. Any insights into getting Smart COllections to work with an external drive would be most appreciated. (BTW, I updated my OS to Sequoia today, but that did not fix the issue.) ~Cheers, Kathy
With the previous version of Bridge when I would open an image in Full Screen Preview or more images in Review Mode a new window would appear and remain open even if I ALT+TAB thru the opened windows. That way I could capture the window in a screenshot and use it in another app. Now when I press ALT+TAB all I get is the main Bridge window, the Full Screen Preview is missing.I can still use the Snip & Sketch tool and capture the window, but it's an extra step. Any advice?
HiI am not overly computer or tech savvy so I'm not sure exactly how to word this. I have latest Sonoma and Adobe Bridge and trying to view the folders from my external hard drive in the left column Favourites. They are showing up in the middle box however, I need to see them on the left so I can move photos and files from the middle box into the sub folders on the left. I have no idea how to get to this step, as the sort by folder option is not visible on the task pane. Please any help will be greatly appreciated.
I manually arrange my images in Bridge and it's always worked perfectly until today. Suddenly it's scrambling up everything. As fast as I try to restore order it mixes things up again. How do I fix this? I'm desperate!
Hello!I have an issue installing Image processor Pro on Bridge on a PC (I managed to install it for Photoshop), Basically I wondered if anyone knew where to putphotoshop_ximage_processor_pro.jsxas I got conficting adviceeither in the common files Which doesn't make much sense since I am not using the x86 file forder for anything (That's the "official doc advice") Or placing in in the C:/user/appdata/roaming/.../startup scripts like I saw elsewhere(basically the folder that opens when you show the start up scripts folder in the preferences) Anyhow, neither of those options work for me, the Image processor pro doesn't appear in the tools>photoshop list I remember always having a hard time installing this since the extention installer had disapeared (why, oh why?) Any help will be graciously received, Thanks!
ave searched the help looking for guidance on how to deal with duplicate files - any ideas please.
I've been spending some time trying to research if there is a quick key method to switching from filmstrip mode to essentials in Bridge. I have not had any luck figuring it out. I'm running Bridge 15.0.2.432 and a quickkey would speed up my workflow tremendously. If anyone has any advice, please share it!
As per the title. The files (or just one file) move OK, but then the swinning wheel appears and Bridge goes 'Unresponsive' and has to be closed and reopened. Windows 11Bridge 15.0.2.432 (but I noticed it first a couple of versions ago)
I can't upload a background video at my portfolio that i'm trying to build att the moment... Every time I'm trying I get a notice up in the right corner that says "An error occured. You must refresh the page. Please refresh the page" but nothing changes when I do so?
I did a batch rename of a collection that included RAW and Jpeg images. After the rename, all the XMP files associated with the RAW photos were gone. The Jpegs photos all had the renamed XMP information. I have read in other posts that sometimes the XMP can have the wrong name and not associate with the files after a rename, but in this case the XMPs are no longer there at all. Not sure if there is a way to recover those XMP files, or what I can do in the future to prevent this from happening . I like the workflow of working in Bridge and Camera Raw, but this would be a deal breaker if there is no way to safe guard against losing information without any warning.
I would like Adobe to Add the Ability to FLIP an Image in Bridge (X Axis). With the ability to flip on the X Axis, one can view their image in Any Orientation. I have been using Photoshop since version 2.2. I teach Digital Photography and Photoshop at a community college in Maryland. When I am going through my images in the Bridge, I NEED the ability to Flip an image, so I Don't have to open it in Photoshop or Lightroom because I use the slideshow to view the Final Images. I always tell my student that "when Adobe upgrades their programs, it's Always an Amazing Upgrade". For instance, when the stamp tool showed what is on your brush, I immediately upgraded my Photoshop program. Thank you for your consideration, Thomas BeraultProfessor of ArtPrince George's Community College
I'd like to see video length in Bridge metadata. Windows Explorer shows this. Why can't Bridge? All those metadata fields, and not one for clip length? To me that is an important datum when searching and sorting video clips. Windows also shows frame rate and dimensions right up front.Left: BridgeRight: Windows Explorer, same file
I updated Bridge today and now everytime I click on an image to open Photoshop I am getting a screen of Adobe 1.0.7 and a congratulations for 35 years of photoshop. Bridge continues to default to the Beta version of Photoshop when I have clearly indicated I don't want to use that version. Is there something wrong with this recent update?
