I have a very powerful updated Windows 10 desktop computer. Working great for years, however, the recent versions of Bridge and all the apps are super slow in saving and openning files. Bridge works like I am accessing a floppy drive again. I have SSD drives. [Moved from Community Help (which is about the forums) to a better forum... This sounds crazy even to me. About 2 weeks ago I took my Mac Pro home to start working remotely. Since then Bridge has been crashing repeatedly, lagging for many long minutes, I can't use it. I can't get it to work. I have the latest updates from the Creative Cloud in all my Adobe apps.macOS Catalina 10.15.4 I have tried "purging the cache" and "disabling startup scripts" as recommended here. https://helpx.adobe.com/mt/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.htmlThis took me hours to do instead of a minute, due to the continuous lagging and crashing. My colleague has the same issue. Can anyone help please, as I don't have a lot of technical knowledge.TIA
I would like to reinstall version CS6 of Bridge. Is there a link to download older Adobe software? The new version is not compatible with my older iMac. Thanks.
I seem to have lost my list of folders and subfolders on the LEFT side (not the main "Content" area) of Bridge. Now, instead of being able to scroll through my subfolders on the left (and then open one of those up to reveal a subfolder's photos in the Content area), I only have thumbnails of my FOLDERS in the Content area and have to open each one up to find a subfolder. Does anyone know how to reset the original format? Thanks.
Surely allowing users to view font files within Bridge that are saved on their hard drives will not result in the world ending suddenly.. Will it?I realise that we have a handy resource available in Adobe Fonts, but it is a very limited resource and with the world's designers also using the same resource things quickly begin fitting into a predictable mould. Being a designer for over twenty years I have an exstensive font library and whilst I'm not an idiot, I dont expect to be able to control the usage and activation of these fonts which could possibly threaten Adobe's Font service, it would be nice to be simply able to view them in Bridge as I would any other type of file. Yet it seems that the decision made by Adobe was to take a course of action in the development of their product to specifically restrict its ability to view font related files that people may have saved on their computers.Surely Adobe has a big enough slice of the pie without having to control our usage of our own
Adobe Bridge - Photo Downloader will not apply metadata from the selected metadata template when I import Sony ARW files. Metadata is applied as expected when importing from my Canon cameras. Regards,TonyQ
G'Day. I have been having all kinds of poor performance issues in all of my Adobe products of late (I use Bridge, Illustrator and Photoshop, CC 2020, all current updates as of Apr 1, 2020). I have traced the issues back to Bridge. When it's not running, everything works fine. To troubleshoot, I started Activity Monitor and that for a period while watching Bridge. Bridge was taking as much as 400% of my CPU resources, and not infrequently. I read the help articles on how to improve Bridge performance, cleared the local cache and optimized the cache. I then restarted Bridge, selected the folders I normally use and let the cache rebuild completely. Then I took the focus off Bridge and simply monitored the Activity Monitor without touching Bridge or any of the files that fell within the folders I had built the cache with. What I found was the CPU% for Bridge went up and down like a yo-yo constantly, rising frequently to 100% and greater, then dropping off to somewhere near 0.5 to 2%, and r
Having a problem in Bridge. When I click on a thumbnail it changes to a blue block with Ps/PSD in it.how do I get it to change back to the thumbnail image? I can't get a screen shot attached. Thank You
In Bridge 2019 and previous I was able to drag the recent InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop folders to the Favorites panel and used those folders often to access frequently used files. The new 2020 version does not allow you to drag the folders to the Favorits Panel. Therefore, I am not using Adobe Bridge 2020. This is obviously an oversight and I would suggest the problem be looked at and fixed.
I am trying to open images and video from my iphone 10 using bridge. The icons open but the actual image and video do not. Please advise, Thanks, Clay H. Wieland [Personal info removed by Mod]
I use the Bridge Output tab to create custom constant sheets. Is it possible to automate this task so that when the thumbnails in Bridge are selected and a keyboard shortcut invoked, a contact sheet is created bypassing the Output tab (adding the thumbnails to the canvas and export the PDF)? Against my better judgement (I've only had bad experiences in the last 2/3 years), I called tech support yesterday to ask how to undo a batch rename in bridge. Seemingly simple question. I got bad information that was ostensibly the answer to my question - only to have to wait 30 minutes on the phone to finally hear that one cannot undo that action. Total waste of time.
Hi there, I'm experiencing some lag when moving my mouse around in Bridge. I've seen posts from people having similar issues in Illustrator or Photoshop, but for me it only happens in Bridge. When switching to another app the mouse works fine again. It really only happens when Bridge is in front.Using latest versions of all apps, but the bug has been around for some time.(Bridge 10.0.3.138 on MacBook Pro) Thanks for your feedback 🙂Tom
Please, add feature to search files with two or more keywords
Another problem in Bridge 2020 with Mac OS 10.13.6I have a set of custom keywords that I go through to check keywords to add to each CR.2 photo. In Bridge 2019 below my custom list there is a folder containing Other Keywords that are in italics. In Bridge 2020 now the keywords I have just added to a photo are in italics and mixed in with my custom keyword list. That makes it very hard to find the keywords I want from my custom list.
In the find panel, Bridge gives options for searching under a number of metadata items, but the list is not complete. In particular, I need to search for a term under sublocation - I can't use the "all metadata" because the term I am searching for is in one of the copyright fields, and ALL of my photos thus have that term in the metadata. Is there any way to add additional fields to the find panel?
Bridge CS6 RAW CR3 automatically transformed in PDF when downloaded from camera. How can I reverse this command? Thank you! Marie Brussels
I use my drone for GIS mapping. Because of the limitations of the camera and capture software I am limited to capturing .jpg files. I'm using a PC which still has windows 7. I can upgrade if necessary.I'd like to edit the images in Bridge and/or Lightroom but I need to make sure that the GPS metadata is not affected because the GIS mapping programs rely on the metadata. Which versions of Lightroom and /or Bridge can I use for this purpose?
Can't even get this program to open. When I click...the UX shows for half a second, and then closes out. No uninstalling / reinstalling fixes this, and same issue with version 9.1. Adobe log file provided if needed. This is a work / admin-locked computer, so I'll try to get anymore system info if necessary.
I want to open Bridge for a demo and have the Home screen blank
Updated to Bridge 2020 and Photoshop 2020. The options in Bridge -> Tools to open multiple selected files in Bridge into Photoshop using a selected Photoshop action is missing. Is there a new work around or new terminology? This was an incredibly usefull tool in Bridge - Photoshop workflow.
I cannot see my .eps and .ai thumbnails as an image in Bridge. I know the ability is there because when I had the creative cloud before it worked. I have reset the preferences at startup. Cleared the cache as well. I have also went into edit preferences in Bridge to "do not process files larger than" and increased the amount. Doesn't work. Nothing seems to work. I have a big library of vector art that I was always able to view in Bridge. Does anyone have a fix?

I am still waiting for a option 'lenscorrection' Fuji XT-1 with a 23mm 1.4 lens in Bridge (or Lightroom/Photoshop). when can we expact this? Rick
I used to be able to select specific images from Bridge and import them into Lightroom, but after the latest update all I get is the import box in Lightroom without any images selected. I'd have to manually find them again and import them the classic way. This defeats the purpose of even sorting my images in Bridge and trying to drag them into Lightroom. Not sure whether this is something that went wrong on the Bridge side, or the Lightroom side but hopefully this gets fixed. Bridge: 10.0.3.138Lightroom: 9.2 Release Edit: Is anyone able to test this out on the latest versions to verify whether it may be an isolated issue with me?
