batch re-name not work on Bridge2020, jpeg files.
Possibly since I downloaded Catalina ( not certain) when I open a folder as a filmstrip in Bridge I get a strip of black boxes not the images as thumbnails. But when I click on each one they open OK. Any advice would be appreciated.John Price
I cannot open a group of ARW files in ACR 12.2 using Bridge 10.03.138. If fact I can't open one ARW with Bridge. I can Select the group of files in Photoshop and have them open as a group in ACR. This works fine with the same group of files a computer running Bridge 10.02.131 and ACR 12.1. Any Suggestions?
Hi, opening any jpg or raw file via bridge (10.0.3) in camera raw the program crashes, how can I solve 'thanks.
When double clicking on any file type in Bridge, it opens After Effects. This is regardless of what program is selected in "File Type Association". Selecting Photoshop or Illustrator does not work, even when reset. From the looks of this support community, this glitch has been a problem for well over a year. "Updating After Effects" is the most moderator sited fix which has not, and still does not work (I'm updated on both Br 10.0.3 and Ae 17.0.2), and "Uninstall After Effects" has been the fix suggested by the community which just straight up isn't happening as After Effects is a program I use daily and bridge is just a support program. Adobe Team, please, this needs a legitimate, long term, fix. It's unacceptable for a high-tier developer to have such a long standing, reoccuring bug associated with the 2nd most common computer imput (double-click). Please stop suggesting "have you tried turning it off and back on again?" or making buggy patches. It's unsulting to your users
I use Bridge to edit Title and keywords on my images, then I upload to Adobe Stock. When I put keywords on my images I usually do it with copy and paste from internet sites. However usually my images have almost 50 keywords, and I want to limit this number. Is there a way to limit the number of keywords in Bridge, or, better yet, cut some of them in Bridge with the purpose to have at most 30 of them in every image? Thanks in advance
As the title suggests. I have tried setting keywords via adobe bridge and on illustrator itself but when i upload the AI file via the contributor portal they dont show only the auto generated ones. Same goes for title. Any help would be appriciated.
Hello, I work for a small program that is looking to use bridge to better search for and organize our photos (~50,000 or so). I've gotten it up and running on my machine and keyworded some batches of photos and the search feature seems to work at a reasonable speed for the folders that have already been indexed. I did a test run of exporting the cache for a specific sub-folder with about 400 photos and my coworker was able to import the cache and search within that at a reasonable speed. However, the export process took several minutes as did the import process on her computer, and that was just a sub-folder in a much larger photos folder we would like to export the cache for. My question is- how often do you need to re-export a shared cache (and have all users import that version to their machine)? Does this need to be done every time a single photo is deleted, moved, renamed, rekeyworded? I understand that the process of generating the cache for all users is time-cons
When Bridge opens on the folder it was last opened/closed in, it takes a long time to load, constantly 'building criteria' as if all the images are newly imported. I've searched the forums, have tried all the tweaks and settings, but it's still iceberg slow. Bridge CS5 is noticeably quicker, as if the cache info is being read immediately. CS6 is behaving as if the cache file has been deleted. It hasn't. I have tried the "flush the cache" to see if maybe it's corrupted. No joy. I have boosted cache size. No joy. I've compacted, automatically exported cache to folders, everything... Nothing seems to fix the snail slowness. All Adobe updates have been applied.i7-2600s @2.80GHz8 gb DDRw ramNvidia GeForce GT420 1gb DDR36+ tbs hd space.
I am trying to install Bridge and it keeps getting stuck at 10% progress. I found this site:https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/failed-install-creative-cloud-desktop.html. I successfull ran the creative cloud desktop app uninstaller. Then I went to run the "creative cloud cleaner tool", but when I open the .exe file, I get the following error message: "There was a problem while reading the contents of 'AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe': Data is corrupted" I am stuck and don't understand why I'm having such a roadblock just trying to install Bridge. Please help!
I often used to delete many images in Bridge after running a conversion action in PS. Since the last few versions whenever I try to do this I am told there has been an error and the files are not deleted. Adobe please fix this, it should be a basic function of an image viewer.
I have always opened my photos in Bridge and then opened them in camera raw for the first part of editing. All of a sudden I am not able to do this. Im not sure why? Can any one help?
Well, I just lost all the keywords from my ten plus years of shooting digital cameras. Auto-Update deleted old versions this last round, and along with it all my workspaces and keywords. The workspaces were easy enough to redo, took about twenty minutes tops. But the keywords will never be redone. People, places, project titles, client info, all gone. No, I don't have this as a backup as none of my backup drives have the requisite folders. Of course this is entirely my fault, compounded by my niave trust that Adobe would give any thought to transferring what is arguably some of the most IMPORTANT information from one update to the next. So, before I bother moving forward keywording as I have done for years with new image files, is there any means of having this information stored in the cloud so that it will not be deleted by mistake again? If not, I will not bother doing any keywording at all.

Today, October 30th, after installing Catalina 10.15.1 Adobe Bridge fails to start. Anyone else seen this? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Bridge with no joy. I have also deleted old caches, preferences etc.
The upgrade to MacOS Catalina broke Bridge. As in broke, the program opens but you can’t see any files (rendering it pretty much useless). There is no information I could find anywhere that addresses this problem; Adobe does not provide support for Bridge. Is there a way to make it work in Catalina or has Adobe abandoned this vital program?
I am using Bridge Version: 10.0.0.124 on an iMac Pro with MacOs 10.15.1 Catalina. When I wish to delete an image from Bridge I right click the image and select the command 'Move to Trash'. I receive the following message: 'An error has occurred during the delete operation. Some files may not have been processed'. This message is accompanied by an exclamation mark and an 'OK' box. When I click 'OK' the dialogue box and the image disappear. However, if Bridge is subsequently refreshed or closed and reopened, the image has not been deleted. It is still present within the folder. Currently, I am deleting files by right click/ Move To/Desktop: then, on the Desktop, right click/Move to Bin. How do I fix this problem? Thom.
I rely on Bridge for my workflow. Bridge 2018, and all before worked fine.Adobe in typical fashion seems to have broken 2019.Image previews are now crunched, unclear, look like JPG Compression level 1.I would revert to 2018 but now 2018 no longer provides a pathway to Photoshop Contact Sheet under TOOLS.I have investigated all of Bridge 2019 presets, cache level, cache clearing, maximum file size etc.All of my work collegues (~25) have the same issue: PREVIEWS ARE BROKEN.I have seen comments on this on other forum. Is Adobe listening to their professional subscribers?
Hi all. Using Latest Bridge on MBP 10.15.3 I have a large collection of photos that I have everything keyworded. What I'd like to do is after I complete a search by Keyword, say "Family" I create a Smart Collection. So that search is Saved. Amazing! I know that I can do this for anything that I keyworded. My question: is there a way to create a folder of images that instead of Duplicating, it creates an "alias" of sorts? I know that I could just take my Smart Collection select all the images, and drag them to a new folder in Bridge called "Family". But I think that this just duplicates the files, which means more HD space used. I've also noticed that if I move an image from a Collection to a new Bridge folder, it actually moves the original file from it's original location which I DON'T want to do. Anyone have a workflow for this? Ultimately I'll be importing the Family folder (of aliases?") this into Plex Media Serveras a Shared Library.
Is there a fix/workaround for this?I use bridge to rename and metadata tag large volumes of video files. Our vidoegraphers shoot at multiple locations in a city, and for some projects multiple cities within a state. For smaller projects I don't really notice, but since I updated to Bridge 2019 (currently running version 10.0.0.124) the program seems to be taking longer to generate thumbnails/previews, and whenever I rename the files or update metadata reprocesses the thumbnails/previews. Prior to the 2019 update I did not notice it doing this. Further, sometimes it will hang up while processing and the files won't update and become un-updatable until I purge the cache completely for the folder. I ran the numbers yesterday, and for one of the larger multi-city shoots it looks like I can currently spend nearly 90-120 minutes just waiting for Bridge to process thumbnails/previews. And i do in fact need the still image thumbnails for quick reference while tagging, so turning down
Using the "Metadata" panel in Bridge; manually typing keywords into IPTC Core section. Does this resave the image every time I add decide to add a new keyword this way. Wondering about JPEGs being resampled every time. Are there other metadata/keywords adding methods (even outside bridge) where this is a concern? Thanks so much; have a nice day.
Hello,is it possible to manage my psd files (uploaded to cloud documents or cloud files) directly from adobe bridge? I seem to have access only to libraries from Bridge.
Hi all, Iwould like to replace title field text to headline in the metadata in batch. There are so many images and I really don't want to copy and past to one images. Dose anyone can help me batch replace one to onother field please?
Hi there, I'm working on a book publication with a lot of figures, and the author, who prefers working analogue, is asking for a contact-sheet type printout with the images to one side, some specific metadata info, and enough space to scribble down notes for edits for me to make. Essentially what I'm looking for is a way to export how things already appear in the content window of Bridge with 'View contents as details' selected, shown below. Unfortunately the contact sheet export option in the Output tab only exports the filename, as do both the Photoshop and Lightroom options. I'm hoping that there's some way to easily automate this, as I'll have to do this for hundreds of images, and the list is pretty much already there as I want it in Bridge, just not as a printout.
