Hello, I need to transfer a large number of photos from my MacBook onto an external hard drive. I've previously gone through all the files in Bridge and many have keywords attached to them, which I want to keep. My question is: if I transfer the photos onto the hard drive, will the keywords have been 'written into' the files and be transferred along? I will need to work with the images in Bridge again in the future, so it's crucial the keywords don't get lost and Bridge can still read them once the files are on my external hard drive. In addition to this, some of the folders containing these images are already backed up on my external hard drive, however, the files within them do not include the keywords, which were later added on my MacBook. If I copy the files from my MacBook (with keywords) onto the hard drive, will they replace the files on my hard drive and 'attach' the keywords to them? Alternatively (and maybe much easier): is there a way to simply copy keywo

Hi, I've made a  metadata template for copywrite info in Bridge which is super useful and seems to have all the fields I need except for  "copywrite info url" field which is available in the file info just can't find it in the template. Does anyone know if it's there and if so where it is please? Can't see it so far but hoping it's hidden somehwere rather than not there at all! Thanks!

There is no Startup Scripts Folder to install scripts in Adobe bridge 2024, so I created a folder with that name and installed the scripts, but the Hot Folder function did not appear in Bridge 2024. Please help me . . .

Hello, I often have to covert hundreds and hundreds of photos from RGB to CMYK, which I usually do through Bridge (Tools > Photoshop > Batch > Custom CMYK Action) but now when I do that, it just switches me over to Photoshop. Is this feature no longer supported in Bridge? Is there a new way to use batch actions the way I used to, or will I have to go through image by image? Both versions of PS and Bridge are up to date.

V12.0.2 updated yesterday and will not read external HDD. Running iMac Monterey 12.3.1 and files are accessible via Finder. Any clues?

Hi.There is an issue with Bridge 2023 (v13) when showing PSD thumbnails.When browsing folder with PSD files thin transparent border may appear on thumbnail from any side of an image (sometimes on multiple sides).It changes when thumbnail size is changed, may change it's position - for example can move from left to right border.Please see the screenshot below:To my experience - this happens in any release of Bridge 2023 (v13) currently released.This only happens to PSD files.Bridge 2022 works just fine - there is no such borders on PSD thumbnails.Please fix this.

When I try to remove the requirement (on keyboard shortcut panel)for using CTRL (when changing label colors) and just use the number it does not work. When I make the change and then look at the preferences for bridge it still says the shortcut is eg. Ctrl 6, Ctrl 7 etc. Bridge 14.0.1.257Windows 10

After version 2022, when you open the cursor to type, you no longer go directly to the criteria field to type what to look for. Would there be a fix for this?

With the release of Adobe Bridge 14.1 today, Bridge will no longer open in Big Sur. Be aware if you have auto update turned on you will need to uninstall and install version 14.0.4 Same thing happened with Photoshop 25.7https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/p-photoshop-25-7-on-macos-11-7-1-does-not-launch-showing-incompatible-on-big-sur/idi-p/14574436

Bridge 24 flackert flickert im Vollbildmodus 

Hi guys. I really don't know how to start or how to title the problem. I will try to explain the problem more through the pictures that are attached to this thread. In some cases, Bridge shows the preview with a pixel error, like in the attached pictures. To me, it seems very random and in some cases I only get a few yellow pixels at the bottom, in other instances there is a yellow/red pixel line random through the image and sometimes there is half o the image all yellowish(pictures is attached).When I open the image in Photoshop, there is not such error. But If I import the picture in Lightroom, the yellowish pixels are present. This problem started like a few days ago.I am working on a Mac (latest OS update) and the latest updates from Adobe. Don't know how to resolve this problem, so I am giving a shoutout to the community.  Thanks in advance. 

Hola.  Tengo digitalizadas algo más de mil fotos de familia que estaban en papel.Quiero identificar las personas que aparecen en cada con palabras clave, y tengo un listado en un archivo de texto donde cada renglón tiene las palabras clave de su correspondiente fotografía (renglón 1 == las palabras de la foto 1, renglón 2 == palabras de la foto 2...).¿Es posible de alguna manera hacer un proceso por lotes que automatice la asignación y no tener que ir foto a foto dando las palabras clave a cada una?Gracias!!

When culling images, I often select multiple images and then review them in full-screen mode. When exiting full-screen mode, only the first image remains selected. This is DIFFERENT than previous versions of Bridge. Attached is a video. Previous versions would retain the selected images. Bridge Beta 13.0.4.741 does not. This is a hurdle for efficient workflow. Please address!

Due to how much larger DNG files have gotten with higher megapixel smartphones and with DNGs being created with AI denoising of other camera RAW formats, I recently modified my Camera Raw Preferences so that DNG files "Always use sidecar XMP files".  What I didn't expect is to see Bridge create xmp sidecar files from JPG format images.  Is there a setting so that it never creates a sidecar for a JPG? Sometimes I'm just updating the caption or copyright URL on the JPEGs before uploading to my photo hosting site, so I really don't want it placing that info in a separate sidecar file (which don't get read by the site's uploader). Also, once you have the sidecar files, is there a quick / bulk way to embed the xmp sidecar data into their respective JPG files from within Adobe Bridge?

When I start up Adobe Bridge (Mac Sonoma 14.4.1) I immediately get an error message box which has no text in it.  There is an "OK" button which when clicked causes the error pop up box to flash repeatedly for several seconds before the entire application crashes.This happens every time I start the program.  I've already ensured this is the latest version of bridge that is running;  I've tried to purged the cache - although it's not clear anything is actually happening as the app is mostly unresponsive when the error message is displayed.  Nothing in the program window can be clicked but the menu bar dropdowns will display, but don't seem to do anything when it is clicked.This happened randomly after using Bridge on this computer successfully for 6 months or so.I have about 180 GB free on this laptop so I don't think this is a memory issue?I've seen serveral other people report similar issues that had thjird party apps running and interfering with Birgde, but I don't

I have just got a new Windows 11 computer.Using Bridge - Photo Downloader, selecting a template in the Apply Metadata section:On the old one, importing files into Bridge correctly applied the metadata from my template to all files.But on the new one, it seems to only apply metadata to JPGs, and not to CR2 or DNG files.Is there some setting that I've forgotten to set?

I originally set my Adobe Bridge temp folder location to a folder that I no longer use. I was able to reset it to the new folder, but now every time I load Bridge, it regenerates the older folder in the original location. Anyone know why this glitch is happening, or how to clear it? In preferences, the new folder location is set just fine, so not sure where this old directory is persisting in the Bridge config.

I currently am using Adobe Bridge 2019. It works fine except it doesn't always show all the thumbnail images in a folder and shows only a generic jpg place holder. I was in the process of switching to Adobe Bridge 2024. Problem: Some of the keywords I added in the 2019 version don't appear in the keyword list in the 2024 version. Surpisingly, these missing keywords do show below the inage in the 2024 version but not in the keyword list. Any help with either of these problems would be appreciated i.e.:1. How to get all images to appear in the 2019 version and not just the generic placeholder.2. How to get the 2024 version to recognize new keywords added in the 2019 version and add them to the keyword list.Thanks,Bob

Hello All, I am trying to copy an image to another folder and am receiving the below error message.  Appreciate any input and advice.   Temporary work-around is to open the image in Photoshop and resave to the new folder. Thank you.

This is more a rant than a question.  But after 30 years in photoshop, I opened up Bridge, and the whole interface is changed.  As a pro photographer with a very tight workflow, I now struggle to use Bridge frustrated with work piling up.  And mind you I simply need a row of small images with a large image to select, so simple, the filmstrip option in the older versions....which you can't by any means make happen in one click...why did they change that????  I by some magic get that workflow set up with panels, then flash it is gone, back to another setup of panels that does not work for me.... Is there any good video to explain how these panels work and how I can make them work easily and then lock them?  I am really confused and simply need this to work asap so I am not spending 90% of my mental energy fooling around with panels or dreading opening the bridge not knowing what config it might be in this time or what accidental keystroke sends the whole thi

Using Sonoma 14.5 and Bridge 14.1.0.257: 1: All my photos are on ext. drive A. I also have an ext drive that backs up Drv. A called Drv. B.  When I open Bridge it displays all photos on both A and B (Drv. B are all dups). Can I tell Bridge to ingore Drv. B? Looks like I can set it to access all ext. Drives or no Ext Drvs but not pick and choose Ext Drvs.2: Also how do I get Bridge to display all photos on a Drv without having to go through each folder?   

Hello Adobe!Regarding the betas. Ok great you are fixing bugs of stuff that have been reported.But whats going on with the HUGE problem with performance? Are you still working on this or have you given up?? This is REALLY important for you to be transparent about. Is this even fixable, as you said it stems from the new foundation? We had several video-meetings so you are aware of the problem that pretty much the entire community is experiencing. WE need to know if YOU can fix this!Otherwise we need to find replacements!Adobe, please respond. I'm trying to open a png in Camera Raw on Bridge but it's not giving me the option to. (see first image). Ih I have a subscription to the complete Adobe Cloud apps including photoshop. I have tried opening Bridge, opening Photoshop, closing and re-opening Bridge, but nothing changed. The second photo shows that i can open the camera raw preferences, so I don't know why it's not an option? Please help! Thank you! 

 random PS file thumbnails are generating highly distoreted thumbail prviews.thumbnail 1 and 2 are of the same image. one is loading from a PDF file and the distorted one is loading from the PS file.I am on a M1 Mac16GB RAMOS 14.4.1 (23E224)Bridge 14.0.4.222
