I am using Bridge 13. My cache \ database is on the OS SSD (C:). But all my photos are on a hard drive (D:). The HD is at 90-100% when indexing, so I want to speed things up by moving the photos to an SSD (E:). I believe that labels, rating etc. are in metadata and will not be affected. But is there a shortcut or way to avoid having to recreate all my collections?Sean
Hello, I have been having massive problems with the stability of Bridge in conjunction with Camera Raw and Photoshop for months. I have decided for this reason to finish with my old Mac Book Pro (2018) and buy a new Mac Book Pro, now have one with a M2 Max processor, Mac OS Ventura.I have completely new installed the operating system and the first thing I did was install Adobe CC. Before any other software got on the computer. Unfortunately the same problems have reappeared, I have described them here in order of occurrence:1. installing Bridge 13.0.3, PS 24.6 : when opening Canon Raw data and double clicking on the raw files Bridge freezes. Workaround: drag data directly into Photoshop. Then I can open them and work in Camera Raw.Bridge also freezes when I copy the development settings and paste on multiple files directly in Bridge2. Then I decided to downgrade to Bridge 12.0.4, PS remains the same. Here the doubleclick on the raw data works mostly, also "CMD + R".However, Bridge cras
I have the latest v of Bridge, latest video drivers and heaps of space and RAM.Bridge now crashes to desktop every time I use it. Simply opening a picture file RAW or .jpg and it opens in Photoshop but freezes with a cryptic "Bridge has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. In the last few days, a message has appeared along the liines of "Adobe has a solution or workaround.... Click here for details" and the link doesn't work!I have disabled scripts and cleared the cache. Same outcome. Now virtually unusable.
I was using CC Bridge 2017 with the Output plugin to export multiple assets as a PDF for pin-ups and the exports looked perfectly fine both digitally and print.I now have upgraded to a new Mac and the latest update of CC so all my softwares are the 2019 version. Bridge now will not export in the resolution that's on screen. I matched my output settings (image quality: 100%, resolution: 300 ppi) as the previous version of Bridge that I was using (2017) and the difference in quality is very noticeable. The newer version exports the PDFs as a very low resolution file and I've tried reformatting all my settings, cache, etc. Since I use Bridge to export multiple files at once for reviews, can anyone share if they had this issue and how they were able to fix it? Thanks.
HiCannot load bridge on Robo and Cala 2 in 1 ARM architecture laptop.it is running windows 11no bridge, photoshop crashes frequently.wont load Dye sublimation photo printer drivers either.only loads Wi-Fi printing apps.I am not computer fluent, do I need to prepare something unique, or is ARM not ready to be called windows 11 device ?thank you
1. Am I to assume that the Batch>Image Process is no lnger availble on Bridge 2022? I can't find it anywhere. It toatlly messes up my processing. 2. In searching for this, I found Workflow. I figured out how to set up a workflow and it worked fine. But I wanted to change one parameter but I couldn't edit it! There is no optoin to do that. Not even the menu's little pencil worked. 3. So, I created a new one, but it would not let me add ANY parameters! A tiny gray "menu" popped up but I couldn't click on it! This is frustrating! (see screen shots) Can someone direct me to a tutorial or instrucitons that make sense? Thanks in advance!
Hi! Bridge is building up huge Cache folders in C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge\Cache is there anyway to change that folder? I already have another folder set on Bridge but it keeps filling my drive in the mentioned folder... and It never automatically deletes, I have to manually go to that folder and delete the cache
Why is there so much free space at the end of the keywords list (panel)?Looks like 6 or 7 "empty" keywords. Its annoying scrolling down to fast and "blind" select/click the last keyword in the list and then the list keeps scrolling. Version: 13.0.4.755 Windows 11
In the current 2023 Bridge version the mouse wheel based scrolling in the keyword panel is much slower than in the 2022 version or before. Same mouse, same OS (Win11), all the same. Scrolling in 2022 reaches the end of the list much faster than in 2023 version - using the "same amount" of scrolling with the wheel.
A few days ago, Bridge was working fine. Now it's showing nothing, not a single file, folder, nothing. I've purged the cache, I've restarted the computer, I've tried some tips that talk about system prefences, I've tried the Ctrl+Alt+Shift trick (nothing happens at all when I do that) and nothing is working.
Please increase the degree of freedom of UI fonts. It is preferable if you provide users with wide freedom of fonts and their sizes for every pane.I have still been using Bridge 12.0.4 because I cannot choose appropriate font size with Bridge 13.0 series. Bridge 12.0.4 is okay for me.
Hello Adobe bridge TeamGuys, seriously, stop the production of the new versions. Go back to 12 and start over. I'm begging you. We are actually paying to se Bridge de-evolving in front of our eyes. The user experience is getting worse. PLEASE tell us what is going on. Are you guys under staffed? Have you all been replaced by less qualified people or interns? Something is going on. It was a long time ago since I saw an app, this clearly, getting worse. I also know you dont reply to this kind of bashing. So here is a comparison of 12 and the latest 13. See attached files. The scrolling experience is way below what we allexpect of a company of Adobes size. Please drop everything and focus everything at getting Bridge back on track. ALL I want at this point is it to be snappy and quick. I mean it, PLEASE!You all need to do what the Premiere Team did. Focus a lot of manpower on performance. After years of complaining of bad performance in Premiere, the latest versions has sha
8/12/2023 - I just updated Bridge and it works well! I quit using Bridge for a long time because it seemed buggy and that annoying "compact cache now" notification. I used it today and it worked like it used to a long time ago. Thank you!!
I've noticed that Bridge renders my RAW photos quite nicely in the preview (like it applies certain profile corrections), and it's hard to emulate that look by post-processing via other programs. Is there a way to export the image as Bridge auto-renders it? Thanks.(I don't have PS, ACR, or any other Adobe software subscription.)
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - MacOS Monterey 12.6.8.If a Secondary window is opened and Primary window closed, there is no way to open a new Primary window.
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - MacOS Monterey 12.6.8 Bridge crashes if Secondary window is closed after primary window.1. Launch Bridge2. Open new Window (Secondary)3. Close Primary Window4. Close Secondary Window5. Click in menu bar to access Bridge File MenuResult- Bridge crashes.
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - MacOS Monterey 12.6.8 When the Path Bar is displayed, clicking a folder in the path will load that folder into the Content pane. The associated tooltip should show the folder being pointed to, instead it always shows the full path to the current node.In this example, I was pointing the cursor to "Product Images" folder. You can also try this with a collection which is wildly wrong, the tooltip is populated with the path to the collection text file.
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 Please indicate applied label and rating in Label menu and in contextual menu. This is especially useful in (for example) List View when the Label/rating column is hidden or in Thumbnail View when thumbs are too small to show labels/ratings.
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 Both Windows and Mac have system share features available. Please implement these. On Windows, use something similar to a combination of the Windows Explorer "Send To" command and Share; on Mac, a combination of Quick Actions and Share would be good.
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - MacOS Monterey 12.6.8 It appears that you have implemented the compress command using the commandline zip tool instead of ditto. This is poor behavior and inconsistent with how the Finder does compression.Zip simply aggregates files and does not (for example) preserve resource forks or save the folder hierarchy. Ditto will preserve Mac-specific metadata, resource forks, and will create a folder that preserves the folder heirarchy. The macOS Finder uses ditto, NOT zip.Admittedly, using ditto is more work. The coder must create a BOM text file, use mkbom to save into a valid BOM binary file, then specify that as an argument to ditto. However, laziness shouldn't determine how this feature is implemented.Creating a zip file from files in a collection simply dumps them into an archive on the Desktop, that unzips to a folder with those files.
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - MacOS Monterey 12.6.8Error dialog is truncated and not useful when creating zip file from folders in Collection.
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - macOS Monterey 12.6.8 HIG guidelines specify that inapplicable menu commands be greyed out. However, Capture Time commands are not.1. Select one or more folders in Content panel2. Edit->Edit Capture Time or Edit->Revert Capture Time to Original Neither command should be active as Capture Time does not apply to folders.
Bridge beta 14.0.0.57 - MacOS Monterey 12.6.8Bridge draws script windows inconsistently.The first script uses "prompt" in the script, the second uses "Window.prompt". Yes, I should use the same commands in all scripts but there should not be two distinct window styles.There are similar inconsistencies in Bridge 12 and between Windows/Mac due to platform-specific window styles. weight = Window.prompt(partNum + ' weight', ' ', 'Enter Item Weight'); newName = prompt('Enter part number');
