After trying to solve this problem for over 2 months including buying a new laptop and asking in these discussion forums (dialogue with @Aleke)  and trying everything in official adobe support documents, this:Earlier today I worked with Adobe support about a problem I was experiencing where Adobe Camera Raw was halting with the error, "The graphics processor has encountered an out-of-memory error." The support person almost immediately implemented a workaround that seems to have resolved the issue, which seemed like a miracle after exhausting all suggestions on your website support documents and in the adobe community forums. Astonishingly, this workaround was to disable my NVidia 4070 graphics card altogether in Device Manager, leaving only my integrated Intel UHD GPU enabled. While I am very grateful to have a workaround that allows me to get back to work right away (she was wonderful), this hardly seems like an acceptable long term solution.  This is a brand new lapto

Camera Raw 17.4.2 just dropped today. What are the changes from 17.4.1 

Update: this bug has been fixed! I'm not sure if this should be considered a bug in ACR or a bug in Google Photos, but it looks like google photos expects gain map exif data to be defined like this: https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/media/platform/hdr-image-format#GContainer_detailsYet ACR does it differently. JPGs with gain maps exported by ACR work in Chrome, but they don't work in Google Photos. While the example photos provided by google that can be found here: https://www.notebookcheck.net/New-Google-Ultra-HDR-image-format-demonstrated-as-future-of-photography.758787.0.htmland they do work with both Chrome and Google Photos, and they are also seen as valid and indistingishable from the ones exported by ACR when using Adobe Gain Map Demo App to inspect them. This makes it seem as if this issue could be addressed by Adobe, by fixing how ACR writes the exif, such that it's compatible with Google Photos. Have been using PS and Camera Raw fine for years.  Not changed my system at all, but had a short break over Christmas. Camera Raw updated to 17.1 on 16th Dec.  Been trying all day to process a backlog of photos and every time I try even the simplist of raw edits I get "the graphics processor has encountered an out of memory error" .  Any suggestions on where to start as its currently unusable?System is a Geecom GT1 Mega running Windows 11 Pro. Intel Arc Graphics with the latest drivers. 

Steps to reproduce:Open raw image in Adobe Camera RawSelect masking (M)Create new mask of any typeAttempt to type a two-digit value anywhere (e.g.: set sharpness to 15) What happens at this point is you type "1" followed by "5" and you end up with a value of 5, not 15. It accepts only 1 digit numbers, replacing any previous values when typing additional digits. If needed, I can make a screen video of this bug. Mac, ACR ver 14.4.0.1121 Does anyone know the last stable version of this?

I have a problem when using presets in camera raw.  Camera Raw freezes and then the whole PC crashes .  I can't even acess task manager to end Camera Raw and have to turn off the power supply and restart.  Any suggestion?  It isn't any particular preset and everythin is up to date.  It didn't used to do this - it has only occured with the more recent PS updates

I have an ongoing problem where I reopen a Canon .cr2 file in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) but the settings from when I have worked on the file in the past are not there when I reopen the file. I am not the only person having this problem. Please see camera raw not reading previously saved XMP files By opening .xmp files in Word, having changed the extension to .txt, and reading the information within I have discovered a difference in the .xmp files that don't work. Good morning,i tried to find an answed to my problem but i didn't found it.I need to move all my personal develop settings from my home workstation to my notebook (i'm using Mac). First of all i copy all the xmp setting files from the folder /Users/XXXXX/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settingsto the same destination inside the notebook.In this way i simply copy all the settings but in this folder i can find about 540 different settings and i choosed from the complete set about 25-23 preferred one.How can i tranfer to the notebook also the preferred selection? If i copy also the indexXXXXX.dat files the referred selection is not copied.Is there any way to copy settings and preferred selection to the new computer?Or i need to tahe a screenshoot of preferred window and mark it in the new pc manually? Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with the way masks work in Camera Raw: when I apply a mask, the colors appear completely distorted for the selected area, even though I haven't applied any adjustments yet... all the sliders seem to be going haywire. Almost all of my editing in Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop involves birds and their backgrounds. I regularly use ACR’s Subject Mask to make targeted adjustments, but the masking engine in ACR is far less accurate than the cloud-based version available in Photoshop. Photoshop consistently delivers better results, with more complete subjects and fewer background errors. The extra time it takes to generate the mask in Photoshop is negligible.Since ACR is the better place to apply tonal and color corrections, it’s frustrating that we can’t access the same high-quality masking engine there. ACR’s local model frequently includes poles, wires, or parts of the background, and sometimes even misses parts of the actual subject.In one recent example, I had a landscape-style image with two Great Blue Herons. Raw files (RAF) from my new camera - Fuji XT-3 do not open in camera raw - the error message i get indicates I need to install a newer version.I have downloaded the latest version - Camera raw 12, and followed the instructions to install it. I then get the "successful install" window with the green tick etc, but then when I try to open the RAF files they still won't. And under "About" in Photoshop it still seems to have my old version of camera raw.Help appreciated, I'm not very good with tech stuff. Do I maybe need to uninstall the old plug-in? Slightly worried about losing it incase of problems - compatability etc with the new one. Thanks. 

Ever since the new masking features became available in ACR and LR my workflow has gradually changed from 10% raw/90% Photoshop, to in most cases, the complete opposite. That said, there is one feature I would love to see added at  some point and that is the ability to copy the settings from a particular mask, say a radial mask that I frequently use as a quick test of what I'm looking to accomplish over a broad area of my compostion. It has worked very for this but quite often I then manually writing the settings down so I can transfer the exact combination to a brush mask so I can have finer control over my final edits. I realize that I can use the add and subtract sub-masks to achieve a similar outcome but I find I like using the brush much of the time as opposed to that approach. I see it being another option, much the same as "Duplicate and Invert" addition by selecting the context menu from the elipsis and chosing "Copy Settings" with then another obvious addition being "Past

I have been using reflections removal for a few days on occasional images but it has now stopped working regardless of whether I chose 'preview' 'standard' or 'best'. I have tried restarting etc to no avail.

Steps to reproduce:- Use generative removal on the image- Use enhance- Update AI settings- The generated part of the image may be completely different

I tend to work on an individual basis when it comes to editing my raw images in ACR. However, there are a few things I do on every image, specifically apply "reduce chromatic aberration" and lens profile correction. Is it possible to have these automatically applied upon opening the image in ACR without having to run macros or click anything? Or should I be batch applying these kind of settings in Lightroom instead?  Thanks.

The demosaicing of dng files from my X90 Pro Plus phone is not done correctly by Camera Raw.  The noise clearly shows that the demosaicing is done incorrectly.

DNG Converter 16.2.0.1763Windows 10 Pro - 21h2 Bom dia, nas ultimas atualizações do DNG Converter (versão 16.1 e 16.2) quando se utiliza a opção “Compactação com Perda”  não é mais possível se visualizar a miniatura nas janelas do Windows, também não é mais possível se abrir a imagem no visualizador de imagem do Windows.Mesmo se alterando as definições de compactação entre 10, 15 e 20 Megas, o arquivo não ultrapassa 2 Mb de tamanho, o que no meu ver não está tão correto. Nas versões anteriores do DNG Converter (15.3), se alterando entre os tamanhos de compactação, o tamanho do arquivo variava entre 3... a 7 Mb. Penso algo não estar certo na utilização da compactação.Sem marcar a "compactação com perda" os arquivos abrem normalmente, tanto as visualizações de miniaturas, como o arquivo no visualizador de imagens do windows e no Aftershoot.Utilizo o Aftershoot para complementar meu fluxo de trabalho. What changed in Camera Raw- why do 24mb files only save at 8mb now? 

Improvvisamente se apro da photoshop un qualsiasi file con camera raw, photoshop si blocca. Ho aggiornato il driver della scheda grafica, ho aggiornato il programma all'ultima versione.Non cambia nulla. Qualcuno ha avuto questo problema? Gli altri programmi della suite funzionano perfettamente.

I've reported some bugs with the newest Denoise changes, but just wanted to give an example of the real-world impact. Please leave in Discussions as an FYI post.   I'm a product photographer with a 2019 Intel MacBook Pro, Sequoia 15.5, AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB, 16Gb RAM. I used this today with ACR 17.4.1 to process 22 CR3 RAW files from a Canon 90D. Yes its an older machine but it is currently supported by both Apple and Adobe and it does work ok. However...   I have arrived at applying Denoise at level 65 to these RAW files. So I opened all 22 RAWs. I select the first image and click Denoise. Wait 45 seconds for processing. Then due to an ACR bug (reported) I have to copy/paste the value 65 into the amount box. Because of another bug (reported), ACR won't apply a custom amount to multiple images. So I move to the next image, click Denoise, paste 65 into the amount, and wait. Lather, rinse, repeat. For 22 images. Waiting 45 seconds for each one to process. Not able to do anyt
