I have a project in which I'm inserting (copying/pasting) "simulation slides" among other slides in the project. This seems to work just fine. What’s stumping me is the TOC. It seems like I can’t have TOC targets that fall anywhere within sets of simulation slides, not even the beginning of them. For example, in the TOC below, I can select any of the first 5 items. But the first demo slide (Investment Products-Demo) just won’t respond to navigation. Nothing happens. I could imagine that there might be a limitation where a TOC just can’t interpret between concept slides and simulation slides.  If that’s the case, I’m thinking that I would need to insert landing pages for all the places in the course where a simulation would begin. But I'd be surprised if that's what's really necessary. Maybe there's some setting on the simulation slides that getting in the way? I have clickboxes on them (not surprisingly) with the "Pause project until user clicks" option checked, but I do

Is adobe addressing the update missing fonts issue? I'm about to start 5 modules that use Arial and when I open them, they are always replaced with Tahoma. This is going to cause our workteam who handles well over 50 different modules with thousands of text boxes so many wasted hours. Is there a workaround in the mean time or is it better just to stick to 2017? What are other's thoughts? 

I downloaded abode captivate today. it's showing error 16 what i can do to resolve this? My old iMac died and I purchased a new Macbook Pro. Where do I go to download the latest version of Adobe Captivate for my new Mac?  Does Adobe still offer older versions to be downloaded as well? It really only makes sense for me to download the latest version, but I figured I would ask. Since I used Mac's TimeMachine to reinstall Adobe Captivate from my 2011 iMac that ran on OS X Sierra to MacOS Catellina, the software  kept on crashing every time I tried to open it.  I had problems uninstalling it. I was not able to uninstall the older versions of Adobe Captivate (9 and 2017), from the uninstall button due to the changes in the 32 bit. (See screenshot). So I dragged those versions into an app cleaner. I hope that correctly eliminated all of the files. Adobe Captivate 2019 was able to uninstall.

I'm creating a course with CP 2019 that will have 4 modules, each a separate CP file. The published output will be HTML5, non-responsive, and will be accessed from a Chrome web page (rather than an LMS). Is there a setting that will force a module to open in a new browser window, as opposed to opening in a tab in an existing window?

Is there anyway to remove the expand collapse icon on the TOC menu as I would like to use my own TOC icon in another location? 

When we create a project and preview the TOC there is a flag icon with Slide Name beside it.  When you roll over that area it reads book mark.  I can't for the life of me remember how to book make something from the project or within the TOC.Can someone explain.  I'm thinking that if you have a longer course and book mark a few of the slides then their names will appear by the flag at the top of the TOC.Does that sound right?  I tried to post this from the Community page for Discussions from Captivate 2019 and got an error that it was in invalid request.

Hi everyone! I'm building a project that is a series of Interactive Video slides, with the content hosted on Vimeo. I want the slides to flow from one to the next, which Captivate does by default, but periodically a knowledge check will pop up at the end of a slide which the user has to answer before they can continue. This course is being deployed on a website instead of an LMS, so we can't track scores. Therefore, I can't allow them to skip ahead, so that we know they've answered all the questions correctly by the time they reach the end of the course. Right now I have the playbar disabled and am using a TOC, which is set up so the user can't click ahead to slides they haven't watched. This is okay, however I would REALLY like to have the playbar enabled so they can scrub backwards and rewatch slides for specific information, without being forced to rewatch a slide from start to finish each time they go back to a viewed slide, which is the case if you click to a previous slide u

We are uploading courses to our LMS (Cornerstone). When we launch the file, there is a section to the right of the actual course that appears to show information from the SCORM manifest file.I have not been able to figure out if this is something I can turn off from either Captivate or from Cornerstone, but I know we don't want it to show (it looks messy, and takes up a lot of the screen).Screen shot is below -- has anyone had this issue before and been able to remove it?Much appreciated!

I have been "able" to publish my Captivate 2019 project as a zip file.  When I try to upload the zip file into my LMS, I get an error message:  "The zip file did not contain an IMSMANIFEST.xml file."  What am I missing in my publish steps?  One additional item is that I am currently using the trial option for the software, but would that affect my ability to publish?

We are preparing to move our online learning courses in to an LMS. One requirement is for us to republish our Captivate 5.5 courses from Flash to HTML5. Short of upgrading to Version 6.0 or higher, is there another solution to do these conversions that anyone has used?Beth Parris

I used the Quiz feature in Captivate 9 and created 4 survey questions. Once learners respond to the survey in Captivate, how do I see the survey results in our LMS (Successfactors)? 

Hey guys, i have some issues with smartforms as buttons on the new iPad (2019) and new iPhone (2019). I use smartforms as buttons with hover and click status. In the web and on Android (Tablet and Smartphone) everything works fine. Also for the older Apple devices. For the new devices the first click enables the hover status and the second click the action. That really is an issue in UX. Does anyone know how to fix this in Captivate 2019? Best regardsManuel

Wechsel zwischen Quiz und "normaler Folie" funktioniert nicht. D.h. Folie 1-6 sind Quizfolien dann folgt eine Inhaltsfolie anschließend geht das Quiz weiter ...3. Bildbearbeitung: Verknüpfung mit Photoshop geht ständig verloren ... d.h. wenn man ein Bild in Photoshop bearbeitet wird nach einer kurzen Zeit die Änderungen nicht mehr aktualisiert. Fragen:1. Wo gibt es eine vernünftige Beschreibung der verfügbaren Variabeln und Funktionen - am liebsten tabellarisch2. Afternoon, I am using Captivate 2019 v.11.5.1.499. Must update to latest version. I am creating a project that has a slide with a background image. During this slide I am attempting to overlay another image on top at 50% alpha to show both images. The image is virtually the same. In the Effects tab I have set for the image the Initial Alpha to 0%, Scale X and Y to 100% and the Final Alpha to 50%. The transistion is Fade Out Only set to 1 sec so it disappears as it appears. See one of the attached images. When "previewing project" or "HTML5 in browser" it seems to work - see image. When I publish the project as a exe it is losing the alpha aspect and the overlay image is 100%. "Force re-publish of all slides" and "Scalable HTML content" are checked. Would anyone know why this is occurring. ThanksPhil. 

I have several Adobe Presenter lectures and presentations that I need to edit and update. Can you provide instructions on what I will need to purchase to ensure that the program I use will work after Flash goes away? Related questions: 1) I have v.11. Has Adobe Presenter been upgraded (or will it be upgraded) to be able to play without Flash? 2) Do I need to purchase some other software to update my Adobe Presenter presentations, e.g. Adobe Captivate? 3) Should I assume that I will need to rerecord all my presentations in some other software? Hi all Wondering if you can provide some advice.  I have created a series of eLearning projects and uploaded them to Adobe Captivate Prime for a course for nursing leadership.  It worked fine for the first six or so customers, but now I'm getting feedback from every customer that when they try to play the videos that formulate part of the eLearning program, it plays for about 60 seconds then stops (each video is between 3:00 and 10:00 minutes long).   I've tried to contact Adobe Support but over the Christmas period, I've had no response - quite annoying considering I'm paying for a service and my customers are irritated and frustrated but I can't progress the issue.  Any suggestions about how either to (a) fix it; or (b) alternatives to hosting the projects online for customers? ThanksNicole

Hi--I created a new project in Captivate using powerpoint training slides.  About a third of the slides are corrupted: either missing words or black splotches on them.  What is the easiest method to resolve this problem?   Thanks!

Hello communityI have finished many tutorials files in Captivate 2017 with audio attached to the speech bubbles and notes. The client asks for closed captions, which I never did. I left that to the last minute. Then I watched some tutorials on how to do it and ... I hope I am wrong: it is not possible to have CC from audio not in the slide... Tell me it's not true and I don't have to redo all my audio, adding them to the slides and deleting them from my objects...

There used to be an app available in the Play store to watch Presenter lectures but it's no longer available. How do I watch Presenter lectures on my Galaxy S4?

Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to keep objects that are revealed when returning to a captivate scorm file after it has been closed? For example, I have a button that reveals a shape... if I close the scorm file the document is bookmarked and returns to the appropriate slide. However, the object that was previously revealed by the button is now hidden again. Is there a way to keep revealed objects active if you return to a course after closing it?  

I am experiencing difficulty removing the transition from a video file to overlay slide. I am noticing a fade in/fade out transition even though the properties is set to no transitions. I am fairly new at using Adobe Captivate. Is this changeable to remove the transition fade? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! 

Can anyone help me?When producing training with Captivate, I use a final quiz, and at the end several survey questions. When the quiz results slide appears it scores both the survey and the quiz. How do I separate the two (survey and quiz), or simply deny the survey from being scored? Is there a way to stop the survey from showing up in the quiz results? I looked at preferences, could not see how to stop the survey from being scored. Kind regards,A beginning learner
