I have captivate draft on my iPad, created a file, and think I'm uploading it - seems to indicate, but then in Captivate I can't find the file.  Does not seem to be uploaded.  Seems like no other way to access what I created in draft.  Can't send a file.  Also the email function (for reviews) does not seem to work.Latest update: Now I do get something going to the Creative Cloud account, but it is only a .jpg of the first slide, not the draft file.  I think I'm following the instructions in Captivate Draft (pressing the upload button), but only a .jpg?

Hello,I am currently creating an LMS in which it hosts Tin Can courses. We have our course developers who send me Tin Can packages/courses produced from Captivate, and I host it on our LMS by appending URL parameters to the launch URL such as the LRS endpoint url and the actor. However, I can't seem to tell the Captivate package what activity ID to send to the LRS. It keeps sending activity ID: http://Course_ID1/Slide_5, even when I added "?activity_id=http://example.com". How can I tell the package what activity ID to send to the LRS? I can tell it the LRS endpoint and the actor object, but I can't tell it the activity for some reason. It keeps setting the activity ID to http://Course_ID1/

Hi,I'm new to Captivate 19 and have questions regarding software simulation and audio narration.I want to make a video based on use of my webbased CRM system. The system have loading screens in which Captivate cuts this out and my narration becomes off-sync from what the simulation results show.Is there a setting to force Captivate to show my screen "as is" without cutting the loading screens or is there any easier way for me to sync the narration to what actually displays in the simulation results?

Hi all-I'm running into a problem in Firefox while testing my SCORM course in my LMS.  In IE and Chrome, when I use the X on the toolbar, the system recognizes that I've closed it, and sends the user back to the LMS to select the next section of the course to work on.  In Firefox, it closes the window with the course, but then freezes every time and the user is stuck (in my testing until they shut down firefox in the task manager). My LMS vendor says it has to be a setting issue within captivate, but I can't figure out what to change. I guess it cold also be a settings issue on my machine in Firefox?Any ideas why it would work everywhere BUT firefox? Or ideas for how I can work around it?Colleen

Hi. I have Captivate 2019. When I preview the project in explorer, the is gets blurry.  I have two shapes, but the problem apperas only in one of them.Can any of you give advice on how to solve this?

I have a  .PPTX that I want to import into Captivate and convert into a quiz. Is that possible? I know I can modify each slide to do different actions, but is there a way to change the whole file into a quiz so I can get the quiz results panel?I'm trying to avoid recreating an entire PPT slide-by-slide, moving graphics, etc. As a follow-up, if I can't turn a PowerPoint into in a quiz, is there a way to import custom graphics as a template? I have branded materials for certain clients, so I'll need to have their logo/colors/designs on the slides. Thanks!

I know you can't use closed captioning on an event video, so I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with any other method for closed captioning, even if it's somewhere on the screen besides the video itself, and I'm really struggling. Could someone offer me suggestions?

I'm using Captivate 9.0.0.223 (and Mac 10.12.06-Sierra) to create an animated graph with 5 screens.  An intro screen and 4 other screens utilizing the "line" object to draw a graph line across the screen for each of 4 graphs.  The output wanted is html5 only.  Each screen has 4 buttons with a 'jump to slide...' action associated with each button (every slide has the same 4 buttons).  In addition, each slide has a fade in textbox and a highlight box.When clicking on (for instance) button #1, it correctly jumps to the proper slide, plays a few frames, then stops without playing the rest of the slide.  If I have the slide set "on Enter" to "continue" it automatically plays about 1.5 seconds then stops.  The addition of a continue button will continue to draw the graph line. If I have the "on Enter" function set to 'Pause".  The additional continue button has to be clicked twice in order for the line to be drawn.I am trying to either get the graph line to

Hi everyone, We recorded audio for our custom feedback messages on quiz slides to accommodate visually impaired users who use the audio to learn. The problem is that if a user selects a response before the slide audio is complete, both the slide audio and the custom feedback audio play at the same time. We could delay the appearance of the submit button until after the slide audio is finished; this, however, during our UAT we found this bothersome to our largest percentage of our users. For those of you skilled with advanced actions (I am not), is there a way to pause slide audio when the submit button is selected but allow the custom feedback audio to continue?I am using Captivate 2017 , Windows 10. Hello, everyone.  I am working on a Captivate file and I am having issues with the audio and video staying synced.  When I play the file through normally, the video and audio stay synced.  If I use the generic scrollbar to scroll then the video and audio are no longer synced.  Is there a setting I am missing?

I've created some content and previewed my project to find that the tabbing feature (tab-->Enter) works beautifully. However, when I publish, this does not work at all! Same thing with Auto play. It works great in preview, but doesn't work once the project ispublished.I've tried viewing in Chrome, Firefox, and IE and it still doesn't work correctly.Any ideas?Thanks,Donna

Hi AllI'm using Captivate 2019 version 11.0.1.266 on a PC.I'm experiencing lots of 'odd' behaviours such as changes not saving, actions not applying correctly, when i apply audio across a number of slides it will lengthen one of the slide durations and all others remain the correct time... lots of weird issues.In other applications I save to files on a server but with Captivate i have to save locally but even then I'm having problems.  At first i thought it was just me but i seem to be finding more and more niggles every time i use it...is anything odd happening for anyone else?  I've uninstalled the application and reinstalled but nothing i do seems to be making a difference...I'm contemplating switching my software to Articulate..?Many thanksKim

I have created 18 demo, training assessment modules to train people on how to make a specific product for our company.  A few of the modules are getting a little large (> 100 slides).  I have combined all three recordings into one module  so the user can see what to do, practice what to do and then be tested.  I was curious if it would be possible to utilize the training recording that Captivate made as the quiz?  Here is what I am thinking and I don't know if it is possible at all.Since the training module has the click boxes already included in the module, would it be possible to add a variable that would allow me to turn on the "Include in Quiz" reporting function if the user was redirected back to the training module at the end of the first pass through?  I have CpExtra so turning on and turning off the captioning is not a problem but I do not know if the "Include in Quiz" functionality is based on a unknown system variable or if it is a more comple

I'm spending an eternity trying to figure out how to perform a simple action, so I hope someone can help me.I just want to use JavaScript to create a list of comma-separated text values, and then display one of these values (according to its position). I know how to display when there's only one value in a variable - but I think this requires an array.Example:var = animalthe values are:  cat, dog, snakeand I want to setVariableValue  "animal" to display the second value ("dog").I've been learning javascript, but can't adapt any of the examples to work for Captivate.Sorry for the basic question.  Thanks.Bill

Hi I've recorded a software simulation (recording user steps to access and login to a particular programme and separate audio to narrate.I'm edited my audio in Audition into small snippets and now trying to assign them to my slides in Captivate although it's very time consuming.... am I going about this in the right way or is there a much easier approach?Any suggestions will be gratefully received!Many thanksKim

I use Captivate 2019 on Mac OS. I consider, the software doesn´t run really stable. A collegue changed therefore and works with Captivate 2019 on Windows. His experience: the software runs more stable. Are there any experiences or suggestions, which of the different operating systems (Mac OS, Windows 7, Windows 10) works best with Captivate 2019?

The note font does not 'stick' when I try to set it in the theme. I can select the dropdown boxes and click OK. But when I produce the screencast in html5, the notes come out as Verdana 9px. If I reopen the theme dialog, the font is no longer set.I tried to figure out where the font is set in the xml and I thought it was in data/viewer.xml. But changing the font size there has no effect. After editing the file (which is annoying) I have cleared the cache and reloaded the file and it still displays as 9px which is really small. The source inspector shows it as inline formatting, but I don't see why clearing the cache did not fix this issue. I am using CP 9. I have a slide with 7 TEB (Display time for all TEB set to "Rest of the Slide") with required variables, submit button at the bottom with execute advance action for required text field. If user is using browser auto fill then only 3 of 5 required variables are getting filled and slide jumps to next without performing advance action to make sure all required fields are filled. Is there any way to disable browser auto-fill to force user to enter manually all required information in text entry box. Below is screen shot.

Hi! I've searched throughout the forums and forgive me if this has been posted else where and I missed it. I'm trying to create a custom quiz result slide that will tell the learner a specific message based on their score. This would be more messages than just pass of fail. I'm looking to have four total messages. Everything I look at is just utilizing pass or fail to prompt an action, and I'm still new to Captivate to really figure out the next step past that. I feel like this is possible... thoughts? Also - maybe I'm thinking about this wrong. The actual issue is this - I have 4 self reflection multiple choice questions that I'd like the learner to answer, then I'd like to provide feedback based on what kind of combination of those 4 answers the learner chose. This is more like those "what character are you?" or "what kind of sandwich are you?" online quizzes that spits out a result and image based on what you chose. Hi everyone!I am working on a project for some time already. Today I showed the first version to my supervisors. Among other things, they complained that it was not possible to select the text on neither the published PDF nor the HTML5 files. The presentation consists of several fact sheets and it would be helpful if the person who is reading it, can also select part of the text. I wrote the text as text boxes in the Captivate file, but when I publish it, the program converts the text in a sort of image.Does anybody know if it is possible to keep the text written in a text box as a text when the project is published?Thanks in advance!Erica

A client has given us a PowerPoint that they want to display in an Adobe Connect meeting, complete with narration audio. My job is to import the PowerPoint they created into Captivate (which is version 11.0.1), and then sync the text bullets to the audio. Sounded like no problem.Only it's become a massive problem.1) I tried importing the PPTX files but it freezes at "Converting PowerPoint Slides - 49%." Always 49%. The program itself is responsive, but I left it running all night and woke up to 49% still. So I had to close it through the Task Manager.I tried splitting the PPTX into batches of 10. Even with only 10 slides to import, it freezes at 49%.2) I then imported the PPT version. There's no High Fidelity option, but maybe I can make it work? It was at least able to import without freezing.The first few slides I was able to sync the bullets through the "Edit Slide" option and setting the animation delay. No problem.But that stopped working at slide 6?? It thinks the slide animation
