I have a Captivate 7 file that contains custom button images.  How do I save a copy of one of these images?  I can't find it in the library or on my local hard drive.  Thanks

Hello, I am having an issue where about 30% of the population (of 1700 users) is not getting credit for courses completed.  This seems to be a random issue and our LMS vendor wanted me to verify that the setting in our SCORM files is set to: LMSSetValue("cmi.core.lesson_status",”completed”) Anyone have an idea on how I can check this?  I looked in test settings but didn't see anything other than checking boxes for completion or quiz results.Any support you can provide will be much appreciated!!Thank you,Tania

Hello,I'm a new user to Captivate, and the program seems very slow. If I copy and paste a simple object box, a little pop-up progress screen comes up. One thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three. THREE seconds for copy and paste? Is this normal? Other selections lag when I move objects. I have a new Dell Laptop with 16 gb of RAM, Windows 10 and a SSD. It's NOT a low-end laptop. I have no other large programs running and memory does not seem to be an issue. I'm running the program as the Admin. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have a page with a paragraph that has three fill-in-the-blank spaces and one submit button. The student has three tries to get the words correct. I have a multi-state object with an "X" or checkmark as feedback. After three tries, the next button appears and audio is played.It works in the SWF output, but not HTML5. It just keeps marking all of the answers wrong, even when they're correct. However, the audio plays and the next button does appear after three tries, as intended. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

I have a 360 degree image of the inside of a space ship, and would like the learner to navigate to the "launch button" which will have a roll over feature.I cannot find info on this anywhere - please could someone assist

When I preview my project in HTML mode it does not play my conditional actions. However, when I preview my same project inside the project preview window, it plays just fine. It is confusing to me and I'm not sure if it's a bug or if I need to do something to get it to work.Each button is supposed to appear with a check mark each time the learner completes that slide. This is working effectively in project preview mode, but not working in HTML nor on the export. Does anyone know why? Thank you!

I have a few questions:I have a training that is essentially just a 15 minute video. Because of a multitude of issues that I won't get in to, the only way I can put the video on our LMS is to have it within a Captivate project. There will be no other slides, animations, etc. Just the video. I tried this yesterday, but when I insert the video I have the video player and then another set of controls (the Captivate project skin).My questions are:1. Is there a way to only have ONE set of controls, just to control the video, since users will not be advancing slides.2. On the video player is there a way to add rewind and fast forward? By default the player only has play and pause.3. When I play the video on its own it is high quality and clear. Within Captivate it is pixelated and the quality is awful. I'm not sure how to correct this.

Hi, I have been using Captivate Version 9 to create training materials on which I want to edit a screenshot and paste that edit on multiple slides (+200).So I can use the paste function to apply the screenshot to multiple slides in one go (select multiple slides the select ctrl+v) but I am having to go into each individual slide to merge the screenshot to the background (ctrl+m) on each slide.Is there a way to merge all clipboard updates to multiple selected slides in one go?Thanks

I have used Adobe Captivate to take video demos of our company software for training successfully for a few years now. I have used it on both my laptop and the computer connected to out kit. Since I installed the 2017 version, I am no longer able to take video demos of my entire screen. I select "screen area" and "full screen" like I usually do and record. When I play the video back however, the screen has "zoomed in" and cut off the right had third of my screen out of the video! Today at work we had a demo of some new software in for one day only for a very important project and it was my job to get Captivate footage of the software so I can create a promotional video. All the footage I got is completely unusable because its cut off at the bottom and right hand side. I've tried changing every setting I can think of, including customising the size of the screen area and selecting the application to record instead but it does the same thing no matter what I do.I;m at my wits end now and

I'm working in Captivate 2017 in a non-responsive project. I created a few simple lines and then wanted to add either the Stretch from top or Stretch from left effect (only 1 effect on each line). I added 1 effect to the beginning of each line's timeline. Everything looked great when I previewed the slide and used the Next 5 slides preview. However, when I Publish the project, the Stretch effects do not show up. The lines just appear. Is there anything I can do to get these effects to occur in the Published project?Thank you!

Hi,I'm using the most updated version of Cap 9I've used After effects to create a short mp4. Placed the mp4 on a single slide as multi-slide synced video. The video appears/starts at about 30 seconds into the captivate slide and its timed nicely with the captivate audio. The video both ends and is butted to the end of the slide timeAt about 3 seconds remaining in the slide and mp4 video, a next button appears (users aren't allowed to advance until the slide and video are complete). The nect button has a pause in itMy problem is the video disappears before the slide pause. I'd like to have the video pause when the slide pauses, or have the video pause on the last frame, which may need to be accomplished in publishing from after effects.Any shortcuts to accomplish this, or hints on how to design the mp4 to do this?Thanks.Timeline:

Hi, there.I've created an assessment simulation within a course and the failure feedback caption will not show up in our LMS. I created a demo test course (separate from the course I created) and that plays correctly within the LMS showing both success and failure feedback. This leads me to believe there is something wrong with my project settings for my course. I have the click boxes set up to show both success and failure feedback captions, as well as pause for feedback before moving on. I also checked the Project Settings for the Assessment and have the boxes checked for both success and failure feedback.What else am I missing?Thank you,Michelle

Hello all,I am new to this forum so please forgive any issues I have but a very good friend of mine has tried starting a Youtube career and has been using premier for his video editing. Today he accidentally deleted the original clip from a recording session made earlier whilst editing. he has managed to recover the video from premier although the video has lost its audio, except for that of effects included in the editing process. We have looked up the issue and performed the main recover options we found online but none seemed to have fixed the issue. I only ask here as a last resort as my friend has been upset by the loss as he felt it was one of "his great works" and a clip he enjoyed, excited to include on the next video. I hate to see him upset and demoralised by this loss and ask you more experienced user what possible things could we try to recover it.Thank you very much, all of you, for helping. Dogforpm.

Hello,I have a problem with sound in captivate. When i test mute mode with the player bar the sound is correctjly mute.But i have  two slide  when i'm entering  the sound automatically restart.I found no reason or parameter to resolve this problem.Why my sound auto unmute?thank's a lot for your responses

Hi,I use adobe captivate 2019 and I want to make an animation, for example , I want to add a photo and when I will be with the mouse over the image I want to display 3 callout with different text. I watch the tutorials but I did't find .

I am trying out Captivate as a free trial to see if it will be a good program for 4k screen capture.  I read that it can capture screen videos at 4k resolution in your promotionals.  I am a CC Creative cloud customer for years.   I made the change in my .ini file to allow high density screen capture, however, i cannot read a single thing on my screen!  THis is simply not usable.  i cannot find anywhere to scale the UI.  I'm 47 and my eyes aren't like they were when I was 20.I can't imagine paying for this past the free trial if I can't even use it.  Is there a work around to this that does not include me recording in "micro UI mode" and then switching back and forth?  I literally cannot read a thing in Micro-UI mode, and I can't even get a video started.

I believe that I may already have the answer, but it's not the one I'd like so I am asking y'all as it were. I've found similar questions and answers, but mostly in reference to previous versions and I am on Captivate 2017.If I have six drag sources and three drop sources, is there any simple way to select multiple correct drop sources for a given drag source?The only way that I can see is to list out every possible combination, and with this many sources, that would amount to listing out a few dozen different combinations via the set correct answers menu.More specifically, setting up an exercise to support a lesson on behavioral analysis, and I have six behaviors listed and three emotions which might result in those behaviors. The emotions are happiness, sadness, and anger, and so a behavior like "shouting" could go with any emotion, while "laughter" maps more directly to happiness.

Hi!When I publish my Captivate 10 course for devices, there are strange text spacing issues on Samsung galaxy s7 edge. On iphone or xiaomi everything works great, but on Samsung first comes a little flash of origin text and then it changes. Spacing between paragraphs dissapears at all, spacing between words narrows. For example: "One.Two."Becomes just "One. Two."Do you have any ideas, why it happens?Course was made in breakpoint mode, so I don't see enable text scaling option.

HiDPI causes UI to be too small to read and use.I am using Captivate to record Software tutorial and was instructed to edit the ini file to show HiDPI autosense = 1 before the capability is usable.After making the change, the entire set of UI elements (menu, thumbnails, etc) has shrunk too much to be readable.I am on Win 10 Surface Pro (5th gen) -My searches are pulling up a bunch of older community questions but none seem to be current nor do the offer a solution.This current issue is like this 2015 ticket for windows 8.1 (https://forums.adobe.com/message/6678673#6678673)Any suggestions?

We are having an issue in our Captivate 9 quiz where some of the quiz slides (random) are freezing.After the user clicks Submit, it displays the Correct or Incorrect message, "Click anywhere or press 'y' to continue." So we click anywhere. At that point sometimes it is freezing - before they can proceed to the next question or quiz results page. I initially only had this issue when we published the .swf to our LMS, but now it is also happening when we preview our file in Captivate. Sometimes if we wait 30-60 seconds it will resume.Other times we have to close the window and then re-open (when in LMS) - fortunately it resumes and has accounted for the entry of the frozen slide, but it is not ideal.We have removed other buttons so user can only click Submit in order to go to the next slide (they cannot go back to previous).Our settings are below. Please help! Thank you!

Hello,I'm working on a video tutorial and, on the very first slide, I want to make the title appear with an effect (Faded zooming).When I play the slide on the timeline, the effect appears just fine, but when I preview the whole project, the text does not appear. It does appear when I don't apply any effect but dissapears as soon as I do.When I try to publish the project as a video, the text caption (with the effect) still does not appear on the mp4 file. I'd like to know where lies the problem and if there is any way to resolve it. Thank you. Selly

I am using Captivate 2019, version 11.0.1.266, and am attempting to have the learner provide two inputs on the same slide, one is deficiencies and the other is solutions.  Each input area will allow 10 lines of text, with the user being able to enter carriage returns at the end of each line.From what I have read on the forums, the best way to do this is using a scrolling text box because using a TEB only allows for one line of text, at the left margin (centered in the TEB's height).I have placed a Scrolling Text Interaction in each of the two areas of the slide, renaming them to "deficiencies_1" and "solutions_1".  They both have 'readOnly' unchecked, so the learner can enter their information.Is it possible for all the lines of text entered in the individual widget, by the learner, to be made a variable so it could be 'read' or 'placed' in a Recap slide (another slide) and maintain the carriage returns?  I was thinking of naming the variables "deficiencies_1a" and "solu

I'm trying to print a slide in landscape. It seems the JS and CSS code that i'm using, will not do this in Win 7/IE on test. Is there a consistant method to make the slide and it's contents print via a print button ? My next issues is tracking the users "click" attempts. for example.Say I have 6 slides and 1-5 are the slides I want to track the "failed/wrong" click attempts. I want to track the user click attempts, track the "failed click" attempts and set it with a user maximum of failed clicks at 2 attempts,  before it "Fails". Then on slide 6, based off the user 'click" attempts, show/hide an "image" (too many click attempts will show the image, one click attempt won't). And get it to work consistantly. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great. 

Good morning! I´m having problems with the information of my scorm. My scorms correctly notify the start and end of the course marking it as completed; if a student leaves in the middle of the course, scorm remembers perfectly where he was going. My problem is that I want to mark in the moodle the% of progress it takes; that is to say if it left in the middle that some parameter marks 50% of the course.I work with scorm 1.2Thank you!
