I'm using Captivate 10.0.1.285   on Mac High Sierra.I'm workington a slide presentation with drag and drop activities.When I zoom in on my screen to work on specific elements at the bottom of the screen, every time I click anything the screen jumps back to the top.  Then I have to scroll back down to the object that is now off the screen.  For Example:  If I want to click on several items to group them or to move them, each time I click on an item, the screen jumps back to the top.  I then have to scroll back down to click the next object that is now off the screen.  I click on that item, and it jumps, and I have to scroll.... over and over.Also,  if I click on an object, the object will jump to a new offset position on the screen.  I then have to hit "undo offset position" before I can carry on with what I want to do.If I am in the drag and drop wizard, and click on an object, if it jumps, I can't undo the jump, and have to remember to real

We're had this issue across 3 different macIt works fine on the PC, but when we try to view the webinars on a mac, our exported power points just show Adobe Presenter loading screen that we uploaded as content.And our captivate exports remain a black screen for a long time before showing the first page.Like it's a blank page for like 5 minutesThis is being done as the person as a participantDo mac's need a special plug in?On mac Firefox, I can't even get it to download the plug-in to open it in connect

I have just upgraded from 2017 to 2019.I am working on an existing module that converted to 2019 when I saved.I am previewing the module (before publishing).On the hotspot questions, nothing appears where I click.  I have checked the settings and all looks okay.Can anyone point me in the right direction please?  I really need the user to see where they have clicked.

I am using the trial version of Captivate 2017 (MacOS).What I did:added a text caption to a slide in a blank (non-responsive) projectadded an effect: Entrance > FadedZoomIn. Same problem with Entrance > ZoomInpublished to HTML5 and uploaded to a serverProblem:Expected: smooth zoom-in effectActual: choppy. The effect stops at the end and then the caption re-appears. Hi, I'm updating some previous projects and every time I load Captivate 9 I get this advertisement/spam with a video to join the Adobe eLearning Community.  I can't seem to find anyway to disable it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to make a Drag and Drop quiz question behave like the other question slides with "You must answer the question to continue" feedback if a user has made no attempt to move the drag objects? I am really driving myself crazy with advanced actions, variables, and adding a lot of click boxes over the top of the slide to trigger the feedback closing, but without control over the submit actions I am going crazy. I have contemplated moving the submit button off the stage and making my own, but I not sure I am accomplished enough to do that. 

I Am using cp 9.0.0.223 as it is the most reliable for html5 to iPad App conversion.A new problem has just appeared while viewing the output on mobile devices. I have placed some custom buttons on my random quizzes generated from a question pool.These buttons open figures in new windows (_blank) via cp.openURL which stores the code in /pools/~file*/~file*.jsWhen deployed on my server and viewed from a mobile device, tapping on the button fires 2 new tabs opening the figure.To view the problem you can click the below link.Private Pilot Interactive Test Prep V 6.0 Then opening the ToC and scrolling to Quiz.If you open the supplement book, it fires just one new tab, but if you start the quiz and tap on the figures button you will see the problem (must be on a tablet to experience the problem. Hi All,We have recently upgraded to the latest OS, Windows 10, and since then, we're facing a lot of issues with Captivate 2017. Some of these include:Fatal errors occur frequently, while working on the tool.We cannot open two (multiple) captivate files simultaneously. If we do so, a fatal error occurs and the tool stops working.Cannot work in captivate while the system is connected with LAN (Local Area Network).Colour picking from colour palette is not working.Cannot publish courses in Captivate.Kindly, help us resolve the issues.Thanks much.

Hello all.  A hanful of our existing users for a course are getting an security warning for Flash.  That said, we are testing the option to just publish as HTML.  When doing so, the course works, except for a Drag and Drop animation effect (upon success, an object needs to fade and zoom out).  Instead, with just HTML, it measures success, but does not apply the effects mentioned above, whereas the SWF version does.  Is there any way in Captivate to test, or preview which features will NOT work with an HTML-only publish?Thanks!Adam

Hello,  I was advised to publish an updated Captivate 2018 learning module over a 2017 learning module in Connect.  Now, when staff take the 2018 module it shows that they have already taken the module and that they are in Review Mode.  Is there a way in Connect to reset everyone as not having taken the module?Thank you.

Hi, I have been playing around with the Captivate 2019 VR release and everything looks great on the Google Pixel phone and my Samsung phones (all Android). The issue that I am facing is finding a headset that will play VR content in a crisp, non-cropped format for iOS devices. So far I have tested several headsets and all give a poor experience in VR mode with iOS devices. I understand that Apple does not really support VR but is focused on AR currently but has anyone had success using a headset that is fairly inexpensive (under $50) that produces good results? I am also experiencing the VR courses not working properly with the iOS devices.Thanks,

I am trying to arrange content inside a Fluid Box Responsive Project. I would like to create a grid like arrangement of content, with several rows of content and each row having several columns. I would like to be able to create a symmetrical grid (grid example below) but also an asymetrical grid (glossary, pinterest, masonry & one and others examples below). At the moment I am only working with images, but it would also be useful to be able to use different types of content in such a grid, especially image, text block, image, text block. Essentially layouts such as the below:I am playing around with the different settings in the fluid box but can only get either one horizontal row or one vertical column. Is the only way to have one fluid box for each of these and split the content amongst them? If so, how can I add additional rows to a slide after it has been created or can this only be set once at the beginning. Also how would I then keep the content symmetrical from one fluid bo

I use Unicode Times New Roman and type in Hebrew with the pointings (Nikkud) beautifully in MS Word in Windows 10 butwhen I set the Edit-->Preferences--> General --> Indo-Arabic languages right to left first off in Captivate Text label it still types left to right and although the consonantal letters appear when the vowelpointing is added they are all out of position:   חֶסֶד   interesting even in this forum post when I jump to the Hebrew font it types correctly but when I jump to the Windows HE keyboardin Captivate it doesn't line up right and I have to type the Hebrew backwards (from left to right).  How do I fix it?

Is there any plan for Adobe to add Captivate to the Creative Cloud Plan?  This should seriously be considered as they are driving people that need screen recording and its functionality to competitors like Camtasia.  I have the cloud plan currently and would gladly pay a bit more for Captivate.

Windows 10, Captivate 2017. When I try to open or save a project, I consistently get an error the first try, but my second attempt succeeds. I save projects local, have cleared cache several times and renamed files. I am copying the error I get.Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

After downloading and installing Adobe Captivate 2019 on my Mac, I now versions 2019 and 2017. The other day a message box popped up stating I could update to 2019 when I opened Captivate 2017. I did not do anything. I was hoping to take a screen shot to display here. Strangely, it did not open this time.I know it's easy enough to just drag Captivate 2017 to the trash. However, I want to do this correctly.Does anyone have directions on how I should uninstall Captivate 2017 so and keep Captivate 2019?Thanks

I know it's a long shot, but is there any way you can insert the Pi symbol  into Captivate 2017 projects??It's essential for a project that I'm working on and it's not in the list of Symbols provided!

I realize HTML5 output is mostly for tablet/phone/touchscreen displays, but our team creates software simulation training for desktop end users and we want to be able to publish in HTML5 because clients are requesting it. We previously used Rollover Slidelets programmed to move to the next slide on rollover. As far as I understand, this is not a reliable interaction when publishing as HTML5. My hope is there is something (piece of code, widget, whatever it may be.) that we can get access to without having to spend a lot of time or money on to add this functionality back into our courses.Any feedback or suggestions are welcome.Thanks.

I'm using Captivate 2017. When making a Video Demo, I always want to have system audio. Is there any way to change the default in Captivate so that system audio is always on and checked by default?

Hi there,I guess there are many of you who hesitate between a scalable and fixed HTML 5 output in Captivate. I am using normal output, not responsive.I am exporting 1024 x 677 so sometimes the screen is too small if the publish is not scalable.If I publish scalable then it does not look perfect eitherAnyway, what I would like to do is publish scalable but add 10 pixels or so padding that would prevent the project to fill up the screen.I just want to have a tiny line that surrounds the content.In which file can this be done?ThanksBobby

Hi there,I don't suppose there's a way to make the List Box Learning Interaction respond to changes to the value of it's associated variable, in that it would automatically scroll to the new value and apply the selected state, once the value is changed from outside the widget, is there?DropDown Interaction seems to reflect external variable value changes just fine, but List Box Interaction doesn't. Or am I missing something?

Hi,I have a project which is converted to responsive design,I exported the document to pdf and flash before conversion. After conversion and did some changes in my responsive design, I come to notice that when I export to SCORM the zipped folder comes with pdf and swf in it,which seems that the old settings before conversion are still there. I have tried to upload but didn't work the file was blocked by chrome,I have tried in Mozilla the file requested flash player but after enabling the file didn't play.Now, I'm looking for the solution to disable pdf and swf export in my captivate 2017. Please see attachments of my exported folder and export window.

I've created my Jeopardy widget to add to my Captivate file.  I'm not seeing an "OK" button to add to the file; previously I clicked "OK" and it worked.  Now, whenever I click outside of the widget, nothing happens - the widget is basically stuck on the page. Therefore, I can't change resolution, maximize screen, nothing works. Please help! I've included a screen shot.

Hello All,The main objective is to share the e-learning videos incorporated in the docs. So, I am looking out for the option to embed video in DITA.Is it possible to embed Adobe Captivate HTML/SWF output file to DITA? If it is possible, then please outline the steps. By doing some research I got to know that we can add Video, Audio, and Embedded HTML Resources in DITA Topics. For now I am thinking to create the courses, and publish them as a video. Then embed the video to Dita topics. Please suggest if my thought process is correct and I would be able to achieve the desired objective.Looking forward to some quick suggestions.Thanks,Parichaya
