Hello all:I have a simple table I need to add to a Captivate screen. I know that the current widget doesn't support things like cell merging, etc., but I'd like to put a line break into a cell that contains address/contact information.  I've tried all the usual key commands, but they still just take me to the next cell in the column.Is this possible in the table widget?-M

I have a problem redimensioning my Captivate projects onto several different platforms as Mobiles or Tablets. It runs smoothly on PC though.Everytime is played on one Iphone, Ipad, Tablet, or any Mobile whatsoever, it doesn't show the whole frame and page. We have to scroll up or down as it is never adjusted to these. It's not a standard size because it must be on stagger so it automatically adapts these.I can't find it.Thank you in advance.

Some things seem heinke on the Mac still, like using command + a to select all seesm to work in some things but not in others.  Also when saving project, it allows me to use the modal, but after saving, at the top of the project window it still says "untitled1*"  I'm sure I'll find other things as we go along, it mostly works. just wish we had a few more options for making projects. (Those have been added to the 'wish list' page as listed in the software.) 

It appears that you can't put items where you want them to be. I'm trying to move a button but the only thing I can do it move it horizontally or position it vertically by adding other content. And what happened to the shapes that you could insert? Ugggg.

I paid for the subscription version and I can't find the download icon. Every time I click the link, it takes me back to the free-trial page. I am trying to download Captivate 11.8 on MacOS, 1. I go to my account2. Click on all apps3. Try searching4. Go back to site, rinse & repeat

We have dynamic buttons that have changing text when clicked.We would like to use variables for the clicked state, but when you click the button to the new state, the text shifts down and to the right.So:Normal - text is $$option_a$$rollOver - text is $$option_a$$Down - text is $$option_a$$Clicked - text is $$option_a_updated$$It seems to be influenced by the mouse--the text doesn't move until the mouse is moved.The problem doesn't happen with the state change if text is hard coded, only when variable.I tried moving disable the button to the top of the code, but this didn't make any difference

In the new Captivate and can't seem to delete a text box. Also having trouble moving a text box. Any help?

I am new to Captivate (downloaded "Classic" a month ago for a trial and when I went to purchase last weekend realized they had updated). I am currently using the "New Captivate". I am struggling to do what I feel should be an easy thing. I would like to create a question slide (simple multiple choice) that contains a single image. My question is essentially "Based on the image below, what is the correct answer?". I can't for the life of me figure out how to add a simple image to the slide. What am I missing?

I am trying to create a custom question slide in Captivate 12 using an Image block and a Text Input block. I want to duplicate the normal functionality of the question slides so that it functions as close as possible to a normal question slide. I have managed to partially duplicate the "Caption" that provides feedback on a standard question slide by using a text box with different states which are triggered by the value in the input block etc. I have two things I would like to do that I can't figure out. 1. I can change the text, text color, text highlight color, etc. with the various states. But all states share the same background. Is there a way to alter the background color of this text block with states? Another way? I have played around with using the text highlighting and extra spaces and blank lines, it works, but it isn't very elegant, and it is nearly impossible to get everything lined up perfectly. I'm hoping there is a better way. 2. I would like to duplicate the

I am using Adobe Captivate 2017 to spread awareness regarding safe internet usage. I want to know if I can use it to directly create an app that I can then send to teachers and parents or I would need a developer who would then create an app.

Branch Aware in CP 2019 allows quiz scoring based off questions in a branch that users have viewed, as opposed to the total amount of questions that are present in a project. Unfortunately, this feature seems to be missing in new Captivate. I have already posted a feature request in the UserVoice forum. But, I would also like to have any suggestions on alternative ways to achieve branch awareness in new Captivate.

So I am trying text to speech for the first time and I have tried using vtml code to make the speech sound a tad lees crap.However text to speech is just reading out anything I try and do so it actually reads out "comma comma" when I enter ',,', and if I put in a <vtml..... code it reads out "vtml_break level" etc etc.I have to say that I am more than a little concerned how bad this functionality is for a non free software package.Maybe Im doing something wrong so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I created a training with audio files. The audio files play just fine when I preview the course from within Captivate. However, when I click "publish" and then try to view the training by double-clicking on the index.html file, there is no audio. I have also tried send this to other people, and they cannot hear it either. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? 

Are there any guides, explanations, or support--anywhere--for how to use the conversation slides in the new Captivate? These are completely confusing, especially with infinite scroll. They have some kind of built-in architecture to represent conversation turns, (somewhat misleadinginly called "scenarios"), but how these are supposed to work is elusive.  It's not clear at all whether it's possible to attach audio and make a multi-turn conversation--in its entirety--play out, or whether it's necessary to add some kind of trigger, etc.  I honestly can't tell if this functionality in the new Captivate is simply broken or not. It sure does seem to be broken. But, if that's the case, why is it there?

Hi Community! I am not new to teaching, presenting, or building slides and pedagogical material, but I am entirely new to putting it into course-authoring software. (Big learning curve here!) So I have a very big procedural question which I would really appreciate input on, before I spend too much time building material in this way that I -think- makes sense, but I may be having a blind spot.  I am creating a project which will have 1,000+ slides of content.  I am planning to make the slides in Keynote (but would consider PPTX is there is a reason - please share opinions!) then export the slides to PDFs and make them into a video in either iMovie or Premiere, where I can put voice over and other sound if I want to. Then I would bring the course material into Captivate as videos, and interperse Captivate-specific quizzes and interactive bits amongst the videos. Opinions welcome if you think this is a good or bad way to handle this. Hello,I saw a similar post for this but wanted to post since my issue is a little different.  I published a project without a quiz, I do not have the SCORM or Quiz scoring enabled.  I created a bucket in Amazon S3 that has open permissions.  When I  upload and try to click on the link for index.html I receive the following error message.  This happens on Chrome and IE.  So I'm don't think it's a Chrome issue.  I'm not sure why this is happening.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. Hello,I have had no problems with publishing simulations to my desktop in HTML5 format. They work fine when I use them on my desktop. I successfully uploaded one to Amazon S3. However, I was unsuccessful with the assessment version. I get an odd error message. Does anyone have experience with this and know how to correct it? I already double checked the files and made sure they were uploaded properly. This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. I am working in Captivate 2017 and have noticed every time I use a motion path on the entrance of a shape or text box, they display (or flicker) in their final position before the animation begins. I'm publishing in HTML5 and viewing in both Chrome and IE.  I've seen this issue reported in previous version of Captivate, but I haven't seen a fix.

After using Captivate for years without this occuring, just this week I have accidently hit the Ctrl + W shortcut and unexpectedly closed projects several times without saving.  I have learned that Captivate doesn't require a save when using this shortcut so I have lost significant progress each time i have done this ( I know i should save more frequently). My teammate also mentioned this happening to him too this week.  I am on version 11.8.1.2019.  Does anyone know if there is a way to disable certain keyboard shortcuts in Captivate? 

Hi. I am trying to create one flip-card per slide with the click-to-reveal widget (since there are currently layout issues with having more than 1 flip-card per slide; see my previous post). On the back of the flip card, in all views Desktop tablet and phone things look fine -- but the front of the card is bad news. The text blocks interfere with the image, and editing/re-sizing the image doesn't help. Further, in tablet view, the image is automatically cropped and zoomed-in on, which I don't want. Any ideas? Screenshots below. Thanks! 

Hello Captivate CommunityI am hoping there would be a way of setting up an advanced action incorporating a Vimeo video playing through a web element, with the aim to hide the net button until the viewer has watched the video. I have twelve SCORMs with different lengths of videos, and my current "dummy" solution is to hide the button for the amount of seconds (minutes) I know the video is long, then to make the button fade in on the timeline after that time.Is there any way of tracking when the user clicks the web element (to click play in the vimeo playbar), and then to add an amount of time to hide the button with an action?Might it even be possible to track when the video has finished playing? I am guessing that would mean I can use one generic action for each video, no matter the length.Or is my only solution to use the timeline length?Insights appreciated.

Hello,I was trying to use hotspot widget for building a quiz slide and was not able to resize the hotspot icon to cover a certain part of an image. I accomplished it using click boxes in CP 2019:Here is how it looks in new Captivate:So, is there a way to resize the hotspot icon in new captivate or achieve the desired result using any other functions?On another note, I would like to point out that the hotspot widget is not responsive for tablet and mobile: 

I am extrememly surprised no one has posted that the new version of Captivate is available to download. I just watched a webinar introducing all the new features and that's when I learned that the new version will NOT open Captivate 2019 files and there isn't a way to convert them. Adobe will stop supporting the 2019 version in 2028. The new Captivate seems fine and cool and all that, but it's still missing a lot of features that people have been asking for and missing some features that Captivate 2019 has. They said they will slowly add new features over time. I guess my team needs to decide whether we convert all our current lessons to the NEW Captivate, or look for another company's solution.  Just wondering what everyone else's thoughts are.... Here's the webinar recording. I am using an Apple Macbook Air with an M1 chip and the Ventura OS. I'm on an invidivual license. I've been trying to use this software all week and it keeps crashing, often resulting in losing unsaved work. Today it crashed 4 times in one hour. I am running version 11.8.1. Does anyone know if Ventura is supported in version 11.8.1?
