Does anyone know why this happens everything works expect when i try to enable normal channel for rust weathering FX? Hi everyone, Tried to click on "accept" the first time adobe released the substance designer to blender addon. And just tried to click on it again a few months later. It isn't a broswer issue since I've tried it on chrome, firefox and my phone. Is adobe prerelease only for full subscribers? I have the photography plan.
Hi - so i'm starting to learn Substance & getting to grips with how it all works.. I've created a basic pillar (think, roman style) in blender, imported it correctly to substance and managed to paint UVs (though getting the UVs working was another matter!) I'm trying to step it up and have created a twisted column based on a mirrored circle and the screw modifier. applied everything and exported the mesh as before (tried both FBX and OBJ). If I import this back into blender, paint 3d, or just double click and look at the 3d preview it all works fine, however when I import it into substance it seems like the mesh is half missing - but has actually collapsed in and wrapped around itself.. I've attached the test fbx file below & was wondering what's going on - this doesn't happen in blender/paint 3d or windows preview, so thought i'd ask here! Using substance 2021 through Steam
Hello I write my first post today about a question regarding generators and normal map. I hope to be at the right place for that, I'm a bit lost between the change of forums in with all these new accounts. Here is my situation:I have to do 2D game textures for somebody. To save time and have flexibility, I made them with Substance Painter. I simply created a single plane as texture "support", then imported it to starting creating the textures. I've made them using diffuse, roughness and normal maps, but I would like to add dust for example, that would be on the top of my "geometry" and in the cavities. In other word, I would like to have the generators using the current normal map instead of the generated one at the initial baking textures. You would tell me that I simply have to do the high poly versions in 3DS Max then bake it into Substance Painter as intended, but I have to do several ones on the same template/style and it would be much easier and faster do to all in
Hello community, I hope this finds the expert that can best answer or explain why exporting to photoshop does not work with the new version of Adobe Substance Painter. At first I realized its because I was using a UDIM workflow and the PSD export feature does not support the UDIM workflow, so I tried a non UDIM workflow and whenever I attempt to export out or click the button for exporting, simply nothing happens. I've tried reinstalling the program and I've given all access permission in the system settings. I'm just about to go nuts and do hours of work to bypass this export feature, but if anyone can give me some slight insight that would be awesome! Thanks in advance for the time!
I'm looking to add a custom library to Substance 3D Painter. The library lives in a specific location on the C drive where it is managed by source control. The old Painter used to be able to accomodate adding a registry key for the location and it could be set up programatically. Does anyone have a workflow that would allow for me to setup a 3D model (fbx) in C4D, so that I can utilize the Geometry Mask feature in Substance Painter?
i used it often on other substance before started this adobe. it was fine. then i started this adobe as transferred from other substance painter. i know how to setting upload file from maya file and udim setting then start adobe setting for painter stuff as same step i used often then suddenly, it loading failed even i clicked on uv tile workflow (UDIM). It's first time to happened today. never happeneding to my other project in the past. please help or fix this.
Hi all, I'm running into an issue trying to apply this Floral Lace Fabric texture from the Substance 3D Assets collection. I can't seem to get my lace to have holes in them, however. I assumed it would happen automatically like in the link. But it doesn't do it neither in Substance Painter nor in Blender. Any idea what is causing this? -How it looks in Blender-How it looks in Substance Painer-How it ideally should look-My settings in Substance for the texture
I amnew to substacne painter, I just baked my mesh and now I have weird grey lines. I have attatched a pciture, why are these lines hsowing up? the mesh doesnt have artifatcs, its actually a pretty simple cube so idk why im having toruble.Im only getting the lines on one side of the mesh btw.
I am having an issue with my brush/stroke/eraser settings. How do I disable these multiple mirror strokes? I opened substance painter for the first time and it is like this.
Hi, I am having an issues I have never really experienced before but when I paint on my mesh the alpha size automatically cahnges or something its really weird. And to clarify I am not accidentally changing the size of the brush myself,,, its like the position of the brush on the mesh changes.... please help

Evry time I try to composite something out of decals/ objetcs , put a manwhole on asphalt texture for example, I have it a lot blurrier than original . Same happened in Sampler too last time I tried. I mean trying to recreate something like this : Is there any workaround for this except working in 4x resolution or something? Like smart transform in Designer maybe?
Hello , I am a noob still in Substance so forgive me if this is a trivial question but how do I edit a mask after I applied a generator and it clearly shows visible seams where uvmaps collide? The mask when I select it seems to allow me to hae the paint curor but doesn't allow me to paint anything on it or edit it ... Is there something I am missing?
Hello! I've recently purchased a new comp and Substance Painter (version 2018) crashes on startup. Designer also crashes when I open a file. No error messages.I've tried a number of things to try to fix it including checking for software conflicts, updating my video card drivers, changing to Studio video card drivers, uninstalling/reinstalling, deleting registry file/shelf. As far as I know my monitor is connected to my GPU (Display settings say both my Cintiq and my monitor are connected to the GPU).Thank you for any help you can offer!

I am making an object where I have both semitransparent parts as well as parts that need anisotropic effect. And it seems that existing PBR shaders can have either transparency or anisotropy, but not both at the same time. Are there any ways to have them both& Now I have to swith shaders while texturing.

I'm having issues where I bake the low and high poly mesh maps and some objects appear grey or overlapping. The bottom object is projected onto the object above it (the vest is projected onto the shirt collar). I set the matching to "By Mesh Name" and made sure that all the meshes were named properly in Blender before bringing to Painter.I set the Max Frontal and Rear Distance to 0.01. I tried tweaking the value lower to 0.005, but then the grey areas started to appear in other areas of the body. I'm wondering if I need to make a cage for it to bake properly in Painter.Some guidance and help would be greatly appreciated!
Anytime I used the paint brush tool I get this strange blocky artifacts. This only happens while painting. shortly after I stop the blocks disappear. Its annoying more than anything.I though it might be to do with my graphics card I runniong Radeon Pro WX 7100. I didnt have any issues like this when I was using a version painter versions that was a couple of years old. Only had this since I subscribed to Adobe and downloaded the very latest version.Anybody know what might be causeing this?
Hi,I won't be working in the 3D space for several months and wish to "pause" my monthly subscription. What happens to the credits I already have on my account? Will they be there when I return? Will I be able to access the odd download using already purchased credits from time to time during the pause? Thanks.
