I have HDRI that I want to use in "dimension cc" and I do not know in what folder I have to put it

What settings should I set to export .OBJ format  from 3dmax 2018?Default settings doesn't work now. When I import .OBJ to demension document nothing happens.

Am I understanding what this app is supposed to do?  Can I not import my own artwork and use that?    I thought that was the whole idea ! ! Please tell me I am misunderstanding.

Dimension can only be used with a background images that have the horizontal line, in the same hight as the 3D object, if you want to have a realistic shadow, from the 3D object on the ground or table etc.It should be possible to offset the Ground Plane, without changing the horizon:If I move the object under the ground plane, the object disappears. If the object is floating above the ground plane, there is no shadow under the object and the composition will not look realistic.If you move the ground plane with the horizontal line tool, the perspective is wrong.Possibility to add more ground planes:On a background image, let's say you want to place two 3d objects in two different heights, with visible shadows. For example, a 3d model on the floor with a shadow on the floor and one 3D model on a table with shadow on the table.Is there a solution to this or have I overlooked something?/peter

I want to be able to use Adobe Dimension projects in my website.  However, most importantly be able to rotate the 3D objects within the website. Is that something I can do fairly easy?

Hey guys,I've been having issues opening previous projects. Dimension gets stuck on the dialog box where it shows the loading progress. It says that it's 100% loaded, but nothing appears in my scene or in the window.The project in question contains 3D models that I made with UVs. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.I could remake the project, but I'd rather not have to do that every time.Thanks!

Hello to everyone.I'm not a 3D designer. Just an illustrator learning 3D basics. I made this 3D model with PS, exported with “Export 3D Layer > File Format: Wavefront/OBJ”. In the Finder preview seems fine (fig.1) But once imported in Dimensions I can't see it (fig.2). The file name appears in the Environment panel, the object position is written as if it's really in there but I can't see it. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help me please? Thank you!

Dimension CC keeps crashing ( doesn't start up ) on my mac Pro mid 2012 , I don't have any problems running Modo 3d or blender why doesn't adobe dimension work ?

Hello everyone, sorry if it isn't the right place for this particular issue.I recently have a new clean Windows installation and something weird is happening (had the same problem in the old installation) with Dimenssion CC icon in the taskbar. I tried to reset the Explorer process to refresh the taskbar but the icon does not change.Any ideas? someone here has the same problem?this is the ONLY icon that is broken (small or big in the taskbar)Thanks!

I'm trying to match furniture to an image of an interior of a room. I used the vanishing point filter in photoshop to make the image of the room into just three grids. I've tried changing the "field of view" slider in the camera perspective tab in Dimension so the lines for the floor and ceiling and the vertical lines on the walls match the grids on the 3d objects. I've attached the file below. If anyone can get the two sets of grids to line up I'd be greatly appreciative. When I tried creating an object in Dn, rendered it, and then clicked on "Open in Photoshop", Dn opened up PsCs6, rather than PsCC2018.  I have both versions of Ps, but I only use PsCC2018 these days.  Why did Dn choose PsCS6 rather than PsCC2018?  I could not find a relevant option in Dn's Preferences ...  How can I tell Dn to always open my new object in PsCC2018?

I was looking through the adobe stock materials, models and lights and they look great but are super expensive. Does anyone know of a dimensions cc user community that has emerged where you can share user created models, materials and lights. I could potentially see spending 20 or 30 dollars a month for unlimited access or at least access to several (50 plus) assets a month. But 30 dollars/month for 3 assets and the 10 per asset. I see no reason to consider making a financial commitment like that as long as the C4d community is so robust and file sharing friendly.

Can anyone explain why my render comes out like fairy dust? I have attached what it should look like (top) and how it renders (bottom).

I am using a blue matte shader, and I wanted to change it to the CMYK mix of a Pantone. Every time I try and enter these numbers, they change! It is very frustrating. I don't know what else to try since this application is so new, but it is strange that it would "auto correct" so to speak.Any help would be awesome! Thanks

Can I export a Dimension 3D Object that I can use and rotate in 3D with After Effects? Seems easier than Cinema 4d and great for my AE projects.

I installed Dimension and it opened and is running (yeah), but i was a little bit suprised that i cant open my Felix projects.How do i gain access to my old Felix projects again. Or where can i reinstall Felix?

However, installed Dimension CC and it repeatedly crashes before I get a splash screen. I have tried uninstalling, trashing prefs (I'm on Sierra macOS), signing out of CC, signing back in and reinstalling. Still no luck. My machine meets the specs so not sure what to try next.Suggestions please.

Hi,I am new to this software, i would love to know what I am doing wrong or if it is something that is not supported.I use latest Maya, export a selected item as .obj file.I can load the .obj file and move it around and rotate and so on in Dimension. But i can't figure out how to load a texture for the item?Can you load a texture that works for the whole item?Can you export a texture file from Dimension to know where Dimension wants everything aligned?And lastly i cant place any photos or objects in Dimension on this obj, it gives me an error message saying it cant use that image, i tried png. jpg, small, big, ai, eps but same.

When I export my PNG image from Photoshop, even at gargantuan proportions, then import it into Dimension, it always looks like a 400 x 300 pixel image: Ideally I would prefer to not use a rasterized image, but that's the only one that will even work. When I try to import the PSD I just get a broken image icon: Your online documentation states that SVG images are an option, but not on my install (Win10/64). I only get one choice of "jpg, png, psd" or another of "exr, hdr".
