How do I get to a specific line of css without having to scroll through thousands of lines?

Hi,I wonder if anyone could offer a solution to this:I added images that change automatically as a slide show on a page, using the descriptive found here:https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46519126/how-to-randomize-the-slideshow-image-in-htmlThe action works well. But the problem is that the 4 images, 350px wide, appear side by side in the page layout in Dreamweaver, and blow up the page layout. Adding more images would just be impossible.I suspect that the action described above is based on images linked to an external website and not hosted locally, and therefore they do not show up in the layout. Mine are on my computer. I wonder if there is a way to stack images in the preview, as there is for instance a possibility to reduce the code to one line for a set of lines in code view? I'm not very knowledgeable I must say. Just as a note, although a Creative Cloud user, I'm still using DW CS6 due to many Spry collapsible panels in my pages. Thank you.Paul 

I am working on maintaining my website and need to change to a different liberay. When I click on the Assets Dreamweaver hangs and I can not get it to recover. I get the "Not Responding" notification.

Several people on Ebay are selling Dreamweaver CS6 Portable for less than $100.  Does Adobe even sell a portable version of Dreamweaver CS6?  I assume these are pirated copies, but I need to be sure before I load one on my PC.

Hi  - I apologize b/c I don't even know the right language to use to ask the question. I had to reinstall DW and am using Design Mode. When I open a file/page, it takes up the entire screen. I used to have it so the file panel was on the right, the html page opened on left and the file panel could be docked (and they did not overlap). So, I'm excited the properties panel is finally in the right place (docked at the bottom) b/c that's always taken me hours to get right. But, how do I shrink the design page column so it doesn't take up the whole screen and I can dock the file panel on the right side of the screen? I know I'm not using professional language here, so please with me. Thank you!

this is new.. I just started to notice itIf you click on any of the social links after hitting the bento box menu..https://toddheymandirector.com/the new page opens up using the _blank attribute.. but the site returns to a 404 (null).. dont know why the HTML is correct.. One other issue it may be API  but I cannot figure it out  hit any thumb to bring up a movie here https://toddheymandirector.com/reel/ the bottom icon in the player is a play button (should be a pause bc it is playing) however if you hit it it stays on a play button but pauses - hit it one more time and it returns to normal function ie pause button shows up when its playing and vice versa - very strange.. any help would be appreciated!

Hi folks,  I’ve just returned to my Dreamweaver website project after circa 12 months and and am having trouble with some basics. Best to point out early that I'm not very knowledgable regarding coding. I’m also aware that Dreamweaver is very old school and outdated now but it is what it is and I’m not of an age to begin again. ;o) I’m now using Bootstrap in conjunction with Dreamweaver. 1.  Am I correct in thinking I used to be able to edit text directly in the “live view” window before saving ? If this is the case then sadly it’s not happening anymore.  The only way I can now change/update the text is to type it in the relevant space in the code then when I go to Real Time Preview I have to save it before I can view it.  I seem to remember I could simply type it in live view before previewing and saving ? 2. The most frustrating thing I’m encountering is that I cannot create any “links”.  For example if I highlight some text

When I go to split screen the page view id totally messed up becsuse it doesnt use the bootstrap collums which I used to layour the page.

In the past, I used Dreamweaver version 5.5 CS, with numerous extensions that do not work in version 21.4, which I currently use. Would it be possible to purchase version 5.5 CS directly from Adobe or through another channel?

Hi community. Im not sure if Im in the right forum, but I'm considering some people would know how to make sprite buttons, since Dreamweaver is website design software and not only.  Im in a situation which Ive never done before a button to make it into a sprite. And Im using photoshop to design these buttons, (because Im not a dreamweaver user). I was told to cut into 2 pieces the container (Section 4) which holds the 2 buttons in it, and then make a sprite, placing the buttons into it. But the container has a dropshadow. So I rasterized the layer. So How do I join the buttons to make a sprite? 3 buttons top and 3 buttons down? Is this a tricky situation?  I made some examples, just incase one of them is correct, but my knowledge is very little with making web elements.  I appreciate you help.

I have Dreamweaver 2021. When I got a new computer, I installed DW, and I cannot fix one problem I never had on the old one. Whenever I upload a changed page to the web, it always includes all dependent files (both from the current page, and from the unchanged stylesheet). In site/preferences, I have un-checked “prompt on put/check-in” and “prompt on get/check-out” but that makes no difference (and I’m not really interested on whether it prompts me, I just don’t want it to do this at all). Also, in the "advanced" tab of the server window, "automatically upload file to server on save" is un-checked.How do I get it to NOT upload all dependent files on every.single.upload?

I have been using Dreamweaver for many years and for at least the last year, maybe more, after I've opened a few files, and worked on another app, upon returning to DW, opening another existing file results in the codepage being blank. The display view is fine. I can open multiple files, 15+, without issue if I open all at the same time.When the issue occurs, the actual DW window is truncated on the right side. The right 1/3 of the header bar is missing (ie I cannot see the min/max/X buttons) and I have to click File|Exit to close the window. The files I open are typically HTML or JS.I have reinstalled Dreamweaver  (V21.4 build 15620) and reset preferences to default but still the issue occurs. If I close DW and reopen the file, it's fine.  I'm running on Windows 11, 64bit, with 16gb Ram.I hope someone can help as this is soooo frustrating!!

Help! I've used Dreamweaver for many many years. Suddenly it won't let me enter any of the ftp credentials. I can't enter ANYTHING into Username or Password fields. I've tried copy paste via keyboard, via right-click and typing manually. Nothing works! No info gets entered into those two fields. All other fields are working as expected. I have restarted DW but that didn't help. I'm on a Mac. Can't find anything like this here in support so help!

Hi everyone!   I’m building a directory website insdir using Dreamweaver, and I want to add a custom search bar that dynamically filters location as users type (like ajax matching results). I’m curious about the best way to set this up in Dreamweaver.

I've downloaded the current Bootstrap 5.3.3 CSS and JS files, but have been running into a problem when I try to import any component.  There's pop-up that states: "The componenet is not fully compatible with the current Bootstrap CSS/JS file (lower than v4.4.1). A new Bootstrap CCS/JS file will be created and linked from the document". When I accept it, Dreamweaver self-generates the following files: bootstrap-4.4.1.cssjquery-3.4.1.min.jspopper.min.jsbootstrap-4.4.1.jsWhich is strange, since I believe jquery and popper are no longer part of the framework. I've triple check my installation, with the CSS link in the Head, and the JS ref in the Body. I've tried external links, and local hosting. Even renaming the current CSS file with the old sufix -4.4.1 (sometimes lying to machines works). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have installed DW on my second PC, but cannot connect to ftp.  Have toggled the various ftp settings and suspended the firewall, still no connection.  Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi, I just installed adobe dreamweaver on a trial and found that the live html display does not correctly display the code (see picture hyperlinked below) I am not too sure why this is happening or how to fix it but I have tried Reinstalling Dreamweaver, Reinstalling Adobe CC, and restarting my Mac.Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!Photo of issue on Imgur

More designer than coder here; pretty decent with html/css, with a sprinkle of php (for string/file includes). Zero experience or knowledge of MySQL or databases in general, however. I was wondering, is there a way to re-order an ordered list alphabetically without using databases?In other words, turn this :1. Blue Turtle (Josh Adams)2. Devo (Devin Salam)3. Champ (Mike Thompson)etc.Into this :1. Blue Turtle (Josh Adams)2. Champ (Mike Thompson)3. Devo (Devin Salam)etc....and vice-versa, via [Alphabetical] + [Original Order] buttons at the top. I can imagine this being easy as pie using a database, but is there a way to re-order the list without one?

I have a php/mysql website running on Win11 xampp localhost server and it displays fine in browsers using http://localhost/sitename And it loads dynamic content in live mode but still gives the site definition error. But in design mode dynamic content is not displayed due to "site definition not correct". If the site definition is incorrect why does it work in everything except design mode? Does anyone know how to fix this?  

Na'Shaya dear Adobe Community! I have a Joomla website where a Jomsocial community installation contains up from a certain rank respectively usergroup a manually extended profile field designated simply as " iFrame" optionally containing an url the user may enter. If a user decides so in result the iframe gets created with those entered url as source attribute and appended into the div normally standardized to contain the cover image according to the native functionality of the community component, while the cover image gets removed. It already works like a charm in case of a community profile on the website is being visited, but on other areas of the website it results in fatal js errors, because it searches for there non-existing elements and shall append it to an element which does not exist either. So I attempted to make the execution of the according functions to depend on a check, if the current url contains the string "xxx/profile" which should indicate that
