The code editor in DW 21.2 has messed up drag and drop to the point where you can no longer see where the drag is going to be dropped. Up to now, a ghost edit-point cursor has shown exactly where it was going (although it was sometimes hard to see). Now it appears if there is some sort of weird icon near the mouse arrow, but NO indication of where the paste is occurring. This will force me to use an external text editor, which is just another painful step in doing my work. Don't get me wrong, external text editors are great but taking the time to force the external editor every time I want to edit a file is ridiculous. Alternately, I will have to cut/paste each move, now that drag and drop is not controllable any more. Please, undo this "improvement"!

Hello, I’m currently working on a website that’s meant to be article based- with paragraph content and corresponding pictures taking up most of the site. I’m having trouble nailing down the layout and was wondering if anyone had any advice/resources they could share? I’m making my site responsive with media queries and flex displays, what I’m most interested in is how to get the images to sit in certain spots as they size down, and how to make them flow with the text better if that makes sense. I’d appreciate any advice!

Image + Connected Text againA couple of weeks ago we discussed methods to publish images and text together on the web, like in Word or DTP. I received worthwhile advices on flex-based methods for three to five images in a row.However, for me one-to-one is the most common scenario; Like an article in a newspaper, images of any size with a relevant text mass to match. I have tried the figure>image>figcaption again and it seems to work for any image size and there are no straying text pieces; orphans or “bastards” in vulgar DTP lingo. I just wanted to have your comments if you see any other inconveniences for a website!Right now, I scrutinize Jim Maivald’s DW Classroom in a book which seems quite systematic. Although a 2022 release it may still be the best source since Adobe has stopped developing DW? Of course, CSS carry on, so if you can recommend recently published book titles relevant to DW they are welcome! Thanks for all help provided here, Ingemar 

Starting March 15th, new SSL certificates will be valid for only 200 days — about 7 months — instead of a full year. This is an industry-wide change.  SSLs issued before March 15 will keep their full term. However, anything issued after will be required to reissue their certificates every 200 days.  Mark your calendars accordingly.  😉  

Is DW a dead product?

Unexpected enlargement when launchedWhen everything finally was organized with your help here, and the code launched many times on the web for various check-ups:All of a sudden, the web browser version is enlarged out of proportion, distorted and the text no longer nicely wrapped as in DW! I've been having trouble the past two months getting extension managers to work to reinstall PVII extensions and have made a couple previous posts on this forum regarding that issue. I am posting this as a new thread because I'm considering doing something else altogether but not sure it's possible.I have two computers:Main computer: 2019 Mac Pro Intel now running the final version of Sequoia, andSecondary computer: MacBook Pro M3, running latest version of Tahoe.Both computers have the latest version of Dreamweaver installedHistory:When I upgraded my main computer to Sonoma several months ago, I lost my PVII extensions. I have tried three different extension managers to reinstall including DMX zone. Two of the extension managers appear to open properly, but showed no extensions installed in Dreamweaver nor will they allow me to install any new extensions. DMX zone launches but no windows appear. wel, a few days ago I started with my book Adobe Dreamweaver Classroom in a book. I arrived at lesson 6 and it's about the extract panel. Now I've read that it's not available anymore. But I don't know how I can open the PSD from the lesson in to dreamweaver to continue the lesson. Is there someone who had the same problem and how did you fixed it?

As a longtime Dreamweaver user, I made a recent change which previewed perfectly in Google (local view) but when I uploaded the site in Hostgator my website (geraldgibson.com) displayed a blank page.  What could have caused this all of a sudden.  Hostgator is no help whatsoever.  Please help!

  Before  this Forum reshuffle I had recentley, in 2026,  a productive exchange of methods for image gallery+captions, flexbox vs gridbox, with you, Nancy and Lena. Now there seems to be  no way to reconnect to that thread? Pity, because I have developed new comments based on the research recommended by you, the experts. Although the Image no-show is a classic newbie problem with obvious causes like paths to relevant folders etc, there are sometimes also inexplicable reasons. I know the nav code is clumsy and it will soon be better organized. I noticed today that the ‘Open Browser’ feature is not working. Yesterday it was. There have been no updates over night and I have not made any changes. I right click the page tab but nothing happens.Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance! 

I just noticed a really weird behavior in one of my DW sites (actually my own personal business site).I have an HTML file named “Services-Print-Design.html” that displays fine in DW and when previewed by itself in a browser. The problem is I have several images and even menus in my site that should launch this page when clicked… but nothing happens at all? Hovering over an image or menu button recognizes there is a link before clicking, but clicking does nothing? For instance, I have 6 identical JPEGs on my Home Page and each links to a separate HTML page. Five of the Six links work perfect when clicked in Preview (same when selected from alternate dropdown menu). I have spent 3 hours making sure the code is identical to the other five page links. The page itself shows no errors in code view. I tried renaming the file and updating links throughout the site - no effect? It behaves like that page is just preview-cloaked? If I click on the file in DW and say “Show in Finder”, that works p

My main computer is a 2019 Intel Mac Pro running Sonoma and the latest version of DW.I am being forced to move ALL my 50+ DW sites to my MacBook Pro running Tahoe and the latest version of DW.I have read some articles on how to Export/Import .ste files. I want to copy ALL my server connections (user names, passwords, i.p. address settings, etc.), so from what I gather I should choose the Backup vs the Share export option… is that right?My main concern (if I understand the process correctly) is Export Backup option also retains pointers to all the actual site root folders for each of my customers’ actual images, assets, etc. used on their websites which now all 50+ of those folders are located on my Mac Pro. So if I export my .ste files on the Mac Pro and then import those into the MacBook Pro, those pointers will no longer be valid? I am guessing I will need to copy all those website root assets folders manually onto my MacBook Pro before I do the Import, BUT how will DW locate those r

I am using Dreamweaver 2021, I want to load my past purchased PVII (Projectseven) Extensions. How best to approach this, I downloaded the dmxzone extension manager as i cannot find an adobe one. Is it possible to load my past purchased PVII extensions.  Cheers

It's insanely brilliant but hugely destructive at the same time...at least l get to spend more time relaxing on the beach, drinking beer   Tailwind css laid off a huge amount of staff according to reports and over the last few months high traffic web design  tutorial channels on YouTube are saying they are 'done' and not doing coding tutorial like in the past as views have dropped through the floor!, which impacts revenue.  

Dear Dreamweaver Community,I haven’t used DW for a long time so if you can help me with some coding I will get back on track.I want to have 2-3 pictures WITH an explanatory text packaged in such away that they don’t stray away when moved around or spread apart on large screens.I have tried the   Insert/HTML/Figure command which gives placeholders for just ONE image and a caption. The caption text stacks up like a paragraph even if there is space under the image; looks clumsy. I have seen in this forum a solution, “Float Figure Element” from Osgood_2021, which seems to be the right approach.
