When I select a snippit the name of it immediately changes, as if I want torename it. I cannot insert the snippit while its name is in this mode.It's extremely frustrating! Steve

Cannot see gradient background in live view created using CSS properties. I can however see the gradient background that was created in the document in an open browser after saving. Can anyone help?

I'm using Dreamweaver 2017.1 (build 9583).I suddenly started getting these unwanted margins on the left and right of my web page, regardless of device and screen width. I do not get them in Dreamweaver live preview, only online.Against the image background, the page is a centered div container with a class "container-fluid" whose css paddings and margins are all 0. Bootstrap used to put 15px left and right margins, but I reset them to 0. Now I'm getting these margins again, and bootstrap .container-fluid margins and paddings are still 0.How do I remove these left and right margins so the container fills the entire with of any viewport?

Hello,I am fairly new to Dreamweaver. I have recently added a jumbotron image to the page I am working on. When I go to preview the page, Internet Explorer is able to load the current page; however, in Chrome, all changes load except the image. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thank you!

Hello,I'm simply trying to add a bootstrap navbar - the default one - and it inserts the code but there is ZERO formatting or css applied. What am I missing? I have a styles.css sheet and a boostrap.css sheet. Shouldn't the snippet insert the css formatting into one of these automatically?Thank you in advance for your assistance.

How to purchase the DW CC 2017 for China users? it seem that it is not supporting for China but if I need to use the DW what I should do?@Dreamweaver

I installed an update to Dreamweaver CC2017 today and it broke the software to the point that I couldn't even start it. After wasting an hour getting into it, I finally got the file open I needed to look at. Only problem is all the lines are indented in every which way except the correct way. I swear Dreamweaver is the most useless and aggravating software I've used. I don't want to edit the file because I don't want it to save the file with all the lines indented everywhere. Notepad++ can get this correct, why can't Adobe? Is there anything I can do, or am I just screwed, again?

When i edit a html file which has external css and js files, the scroll position is always on top of the file when i switch between the files.Example:I need to edit code at line 500 in my html file, scroll position is around that line, so i can see the cursor and the code i want to edit. Now i switch to an external CSS file. When i now switch back to source code of the html file, the scroll position ia at the top of the file, not at line 500 where my cursor is. Now i have to scroll down again to that line 500 where i want to edit the code.Problem is on my iMac with macOS Sierra 10.12.5 (16F73)Dreamweaver CC 2017.1 9583 BuildI do not have the problem on my Windows machine with the same Dreamweaver version.How can i fix this? I can not work fluently if i have to scroll to down everytime.

I am working on The Striped Umbrella website for a graduate class I am taking. We are currently working on inserting tables. I have inserted the table and set the table selector properties, but for some reason my table's caption isn't displaying correctly and I am not sure what to do. It displays like this in DW, however it displays vertically (see next screen image) in Live view as well as when I check the page in a browser. This seems to be a new issue for me. When I use find and replace, hit the save button, check in and check out, DW lags. The drop down menu / right click appears, but when I hover to the appropriate command and click it, nothing happens. It takes a while to complete the task. Or, I end up having to click somewhere else on the page to get rid of the menu and then try again --- sometimes multiple attempts.The lagging is horrendously terrible. Honestly, I've never worked with something so buggy before. I prefer to use my Windows copy from 2009 over this version Hopefully someone has a suggestion on how to fix this.

I'm fairly new to Dreamweaver and have built an index page with bootstrap and have two issues.I cannot associate a colour to background - I have added an image but wanted to also add a colour so that on long pages it just goes on to colour rather than repeating image. No matter how I try I cannot get this to happen it just remains white once image passed.The bottom of the page the footer area gets chopped off short. There is a background image in a fixed container at the foot of the page and only the top tip of the image show when previewing yet I can see full image in split view in dreamweaver.I would appreciate if somebody can direct me to resolve these issues as I don't whish to publish it until it is correct.Thanks in advanceLiz

I created my websites with Front Page several years ago. I love Front Page!I found it extremely easy to use. When I upgraded my computer to Windows 10I discovered I could no longer edit web pages with Front Page. I found andused Komposer to manage my websites. I did not like it at all! Komposer isjust a free basic html editor without any robust functions. I need an htmleditor that has more than the standard formatting selections. I searchedthe Internet and came across Dreamweaver CC. So, now I am using DreamweaverCC to edit my website. I am slowly learning how to use it but I am findingthat it will not display many of my web pages that were designed withtables. I am completely frustrated. Dreamweaver CC has lots and lots ofcapabilities. Why can't it display my web pages properly? Steve

Forgive me if this is a simple concept - I'm very new to Dw. I recently started using Dw, but I use two different workstations regularly to edit sites. Currently, if I change a "server setting" on my desktop machine while in the site, that won't reflect on my laptop version of the site. Is there anyway to sync site settings/where are these settings stored (can I put them in my dropbox storage and get them to be accessible from both machines)?Thanks,

This is a CS6 question. I added a photo to my home page that looks perfectly fine when viewed via a desktop page- but in a mobile device it's UPSIDE DOWN!!How in the world does that happen and HOW do I fix it? It was taken with an iPhone 5S.Thank you in advance,Jana
