Hello, I use Pathfinder in Illustrator CC and it changed shape a lot:Before:And after: (it distorts both shape and coordinates - moves all new object to whole (integer) pixel). "Snap to point" and "Snap to grid" are off. Pathfinder > Pathfinder options > Precision doesn't change anything.What to do to fix this?

Hello,I can't transform a circle or an ellipse.I have a Bounding Box but instead of arrows (transform tool) it shows "oval" symbol. It is strange. So I can't transform it horisontally to make an ellipse. If there any native way to set it right? Without using a "Free transform tool" and other extras?

Hello, I have a problem - all me points auto snapping to integer (whole) pixels. Example:I have a shape with fractional X and Y (its okay for me). Then I use Pen tool, use existing point as a start point - it is okay.But after I tried to place a second point (using shift to place it exactly vertical above first): All the new shape changes its location to new one: Snap to grid and Snap to point are off.How could I fix it? I need to work with fractional coordinates.but now every new shape moves randomly

Hi Guys can you please help me out with a specific script that i am very much would like to use for a project that consist of multiple objects 'stacked' / nested ontop of each other thats in different sizes. this has no fill color only outlines, im trying to create or tried looking for alt to clip mask a object that consist of complex artwork. right now i have to clip mask the artwork layer into all 1-11 layers manually which is tedious, also the same artwork has to go onto other parts of the project that also have 1-11 layers. 😩 

Hi, all Is there a property to handle font favorites in illustrator script ? I want to write a script that stores the selected favorite fonts in an array and creates a new text frame for a specific letter with the favorite fonts list . Is that possible?

I am trying to copy an Illustrator image from a style guide and place it into a new Illustrator document. When I paste it, some parts of the illustration change. In the original, there are 4 pink soft-edged ovals. When I Paste it into the new doc, they become hard-edged rectangles. Anybody know what's happening?  

Since the Illustrator update today to v 27.3, the mouse wheel zoom (with Alt key) does not work properly. With a single step, the zoom jumps to a maximum of 64000%. Also, the zoom is not centered on the cursor, but is somewhere off. In addition, the navigator no longer works either, or only very confused. I have now tried it on several Windows computers with 3 different (logitech-) mice and everywhere the same problem. As long as this is not fixed, I will have to switch back to version 27.2 where it works fine.

Hi there, Not sure why this is happening. When exporting this vector artwork to SVG it is clipping it's edges, the top and bottom are more obvious, but with careful inspection you can see the left and right sides are getting clipped off too. Anyone know whats going on? Attached images for clarification. These are just two screenshots, one is from the .ai file so you can see the full artwork, and the other is of the SVG so you can see the clipping occuring. Thank you!

I've been wrestling with a recurring issue in Illustrator 29.5 (64-bit) where elements within a group fail to stay aligned with a bounding box included in the group.  I build installation guides that include vehicle wiring diagrams, and the illustrated wiring is grouped with a bounding box (no fill, no stroke) that's used in conjunction with the snap-to-grid function to ensure proper alignment of the wire group on top of the component connector layer. The issue that I have been having is that when I copy/paste a group, the alignment is off.  The vertical alignment of the wires in the group are a few pixels higher than the original, and when I try to align the group by aligning the bounding box to a target on the artboard, the bounding box aligns perfectly but the wires do not. In this screenshot the uppermost layer, the one which includes the gray, lt. blue, and pink wires is misaligned vertically, the component connector and red line segment (part of the target for

So I am trying to type "1. " (one, period, space) in a text box but it automatically changes the space into a tab. However deleting it does nothing, it's locked in there for good. Then when I go to turn off the "Numbered Lists" button in the Paragraph panel, it deletes the whole thing. And when I go to type it again, the same thing happens.  How do I turn this off to not automatically make a numbered list? This "feature" is irritating.

Computer specs above, running Version 29.5.1 of Adobe Ilustrator. Anyone else currently having issues with performance when doing gpu/multi object/ multi layer intensive work? I have had 2 main bugs causing the most grief while working in a professional setting. 1. When dragging to scale objects, the size of the object jumps size inside the scale box that stays true to dragging. If you maintain resizing you can drag it back to the size you are mouse pointing too. However, this glitch leads to scaling at random based on how zoomed out of the artboard you are. 2. Working within groups and then clicking back out of them causes objects to disappear until you click where on them or zoom in and out etc. Not sure what causes this but this happens with text not changing until you recolor or do something to alter it as well. Very strange glitch. These two are the most hainous but there are other nagging issues since the release of 29. Any workarounds or settings adjustments

Hi everyone, just started this week, when I started using Illustrator, this error shows up "We're unable to save your file for auto-back up." And it sugguests me to change folder. I tried to find the default folder in both System Library, and User folder, the Shared folder, Adobe folders, etc. No where could I find what's suggested online. Has anyone has the similar problem? How did you solve it? What folder did you put for the new folder? Thank you so much!! 

Hi,I have an issue where if I open an old artwork in Illustrator 2024 the fonts don’t activate but when I open the same artwork in Illustrator 2021 they active as the always have.I’m using Font Explorer X Pro which I know is no longer supported but it obviously works OK or the fonts wouldn’t active at all so I’m thinking that isn’t the issue but I may be wrong!Any help/advice would be great.G

Is this possible?Scenario: I'm making a label that I want to mock up by "wrapping" it around a 2d bottle (which is a placed image). The label is comprised of both vector and raster images. In my case I have 4 labels, and 2 or 3 concepts for each set of 4 labels.I've noodled with the 3D classic options by creating a cylinder and wrapping a graphic symbol to imitate the label wrapping around the bottle, which works really well and I'm happy with how it looks. HOWever... what I'd like to be able to do is to use a placed Ai file and wrap it around a cylinder. I get an error message that says "3D and Materials effect currently works only on some object types..." so obviously what I want to do isn't an option. (Making a feature request once I finish this post...)I want to do this in this way because I often have to go back and edit the label contents. Bonjour,Je travaille actuellement sur des fichiers illustrators avec différents pavés de texte et je me rends compte que mon pavé de texte n'a pas le bon encombrement.Voici un screen du pavé de texte sur les versions illustrator 24 et 23 (exactement le même pavé ce qui est normal) Puis voici exactement le même pavé de texte depuis le même fichier juste ouvert par illustrator 25Il faut bien évidemment que le pavé de texte soit identique à avant donc le visuel des illustrators précédents (la première capture d'écran). Avez-vous une solution s'il vous plait ?  

Hello,I am looking for a workflow to solve the following problem and would greatly appreciate any help, plugins, or suggestions you can offer.We have designs delivered in RGB format, and the goal is to convert them into a print-ready version with CMYK and spot colors (Pantone). However, the focus is more on how to structure the color separations rather than the exact Pantone colors.The designs are not simple with solid 100% values, and I have RGB elements that need to be matched to certain Pantone shades with gradient variations.I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions on the best approach to building these separations.

I have an image which is composed of multiple overlapping objects and clipping masks. I need to take this image and create a single, solid-color object based on only the colored portions, turning white to transparency, essentially creating a stencil.  I'm blanking out on how to do this. Hello Adobe Community,In my experience, find/replace (GREP) in inDeisgn is a great way to save time when formating text unifromally  in large documents.I am unsure if this is possible, but I am aware that find/replace (GREP) can be conducted in Illustrator, but can I apply something similar to vector objects?For example: A company needs to update their old illustrations to their new internal design styling. These assets are not linked to an asset library. It is projected that hundreds of assets will need adjusting, specifically, these assets will need the stroke of images adjusted from 0.50 pt to 1 pt and the colour of the stroke needs to be changed to adhere to their new black. I know this is a long shot, but any guidance would be appreciated.Thank you!

When I want to use a pencil and I change the brush definition before I paint something, the settings automatically change to basic. How do I change this?
