with last updates, versione 23.3.1Alt+ my mouse wheel to zoom is really slow; it freeze and then restart Anyone with same problem?

I have an index page, which I created in Illustrator that I am attempting to export to photoshop.  The problem is that when I open the Photoshop file, it has all been flattened into a single layer.  I made sure "flat image" is not selected in the export options.  Furthermore, I always get a pop up message that says "Some containers in the AI document have been flattened," every time I export.  The document is a single artboard with 9 layers (each layer representing a different element on the index page).   Any suggestions would be appreciated.   Thanks,   Paul

Hello, I have been having issues with Illustrator crashing when I open it. I get nowhere in the app before it creates an error report. I have reset preferences in the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the latest 2025 version, and updated my NVIDIA graphics card to the latest version. Nothing seems to be fixing the issue. I have plenty of space on my C drive too.    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you! I have shared the error code from the crash below.   The error code is: Crash report 

Hi, a new total random problem arose, from night to day without me messing up with preferences illustrator sign me out (asking me to save the changes) after i do a number of actions. In this specific case I am applying a shadow with a blur effect, at the moment of acepting the changes and applying it,  the singout widow appear and force me to close the app. Any help is appriciated.cheers and thanks

Hey guys, I recently updated my mac's software for macOS High Sierra version (10.13.1) and after that, when I open illustrator documents (created with mac OS X El Capitan) i get this message:"The embedded color profile in this document will be discarded, because your color settings are configured for adobe illustrator 6.0 compatible color management.Embedded: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2"What can I do to fix this? I use Illustrator CC 2014

Hi all, I know there a lots of questions like this out here but I still haven't figured out on how to make Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop work on a Macbook with the M1 Chip.  Indesign and Lightroom both works fine for me, but Illustrator and Photoshop won't even launch. I tried uninstalling and installing the apps new, I am on the latest apple update (Big Sur 11.2.3), restarted computer etc. but the two apps still won't launch. Any idea what else I can try?

Illustrator still crashes when I drag a swatch to the Swatched palette. I can see the slider on the shape I want to fill, I want to squash the gradient circle into an elipse, but as soon as I move the pointer the circle disppears. I can't manipulate the gradient in any way because the necessary handles and circle thinggy disappear. How do I keep that circle there, so I can pull on the handle at the top? See my video.  

Has anyone had this happen? I'm creating a super simple animated gif. I created my art in AI, each artboard is a duplicate of the previous artboard. All art is visbibe on my artboards. No layers. No art has any effects (opacity, multiply)- when it exports, AI is failing to export all of the artwork on the artboard. Anyone know what might be up?

Hi,This continues to happen.  Illustartor does not update. Creative cloud says UP to DateMy version is 29.1.  current version 29.3. i always have to uninstall and reinstall in order to be current.When i see their are updates i post here but still is not resoved.Other creative apps are always current.  It is only Illustator that has this problem .No one has had this issue? Thanks Mike

In the last couple weeks Illustrator has been lagging alot when I try and zoom in/out as well as when move around the document. At first I thought it was because of the complexity of my files but it does the same thing and brand new empty documents. Ive tried all the advice lised on adobe's Improve Illustrator performance on macOS page. And nothings helpec.The rest of my CC applications work just fine. I don't think it has anything to do with my computer. It's a brand new mac book pro with 32 GB of RAM.Any ideas? 

When distributing nummerous shapes vertically to center, I sporadically get different results where the layers are distributed in the wrong order. They are ordered correctly in the layers panel, but that doesn't seem to mater. Any solution for this?

Hello I need some help, I am currently using Adobe 2024 and V 28.7.5 on Windows 11 - We need to use this because our print software doesnt have the registration marks set up for 2025 quite yet We create a couple of template files at work with logos placed on different artboards on different items. We have to replace them to reflect the company we are working with. Up until a couple of days ago, I would open the link panel, select multiple links, press relink and one after another file explorer window would pop up so I could replace them all at once essentially. Each time I would select one, the window would close and another file explorer window would pop up. Yesterday I went to the same template file and selected all of my images I needed to replace and pressed relink though the window only popped up once and only changed one of my selected items and didnt show up again.  My coworker tried to do multiple links at once and it is still populating the additional

I use a mac and started messing around with illustrator over a week ago so I havent paid much attention to the history changes as I didn't need it but now that I do, it's cumbersome..I mean anytime a layer is clicked on and off while in the proceess of editing and comparing etc.. it piles it in with the other history states and I see no option to change this setting, like there is in PS. I know there are workarounds.. custom views, hiding selections, add another artboard type of workarounds but I just find them overly tedious to clicking a Layer on and off but maybe i'm missing something, idk? Didnt know where I should post this but this spot seems good as any lol.

Eventually, this magenta border shows up, and I can’t remove it unless I close the document and reopen it.Any Ideas how to get rid of that?Thanks  

Hi the error msg "To create Artboards, select non-rotated rectangles that are not clipping masks" is preventing me from creating an artboard of 2 separate layers. I have a background on layer 3, texture on layer 2, motif on layer 1. I need to overcome this error to make a repeating pattern. The previous posts with answers DO NOT work for me. Any ideas, I'm desperate! Thanks very much. 

Yesterday is was fine, but today out of nowhere my Properties panel is empty.I tried to:—Restart Illustrator—Restart my computer—Drag this panel left and than back—Open Properties from the Discover panel—Reset workspace preferences—Delete Illustrator preferences and delete my OOBE files (following a long piece of advice that Bill Silbert  usually gives)—Delete Illustrator (with clicking REMOVE when it asks about what to do with preferences) and then installing it back—Install Illustrator Beta just in case it works — and it has THE SAME mistake from the very beginnig!!So nothing has worked for me so far. What should I do?I really need help.

I received a PDF Ad from a client yesteday that includes a filetype I have never seen before? When I open the PDF in Illustrator, their logo just appears as a. rectangle with an "X" thhrough it  in outline mode (like it is maybe a placed raster image). However there are no placed images or links in the file. If I select the rectangle and do a copy/paste into Photoshop, it pastes it as a Smart Object and I can scale it like a vector graphic. If I double-click the Smart Object, it launches and opens in Illustrator, but again no outlines in outline view? I have never seen a scaleable vector graphic where you could not access the oulines to modify the artwork? What kind of file could this be? See attached .AI file.

I've been using the same Illustrator file for years without issues. It contains a linked high-res black-and-white TIFF illustration. After only updating a number, my exported print-ready PDF is now pixelated. The file is clearly hi res at almost 150MB, I double checked everything, re-linked, re-saved, etc. Other troubleshooting steps taken:Uninstalled/reinstalled Illustrator & AcrobatRestarted system & cleaned up filesResaved the file and ran multiple tests Still no resolution. Any insights?

Roughly 1 out of 8 times the settings panel will not update after an edit. For me it's the scale entries. I update them, hit save and nothing happens. You can only cancel to exit out of the modal and changes are lost. You have to restart Illustrator, make the change and then it will save. It's been happening for months despite the intermittent updates. 

Good day all, I am stuck in my ways and prefer it when I move something along the the "Y" axis that I can use negetive "-" to move it DOWN the page and positive "+" to muve it UP the page. Can any one send me instructions on how I can change that or send me to a link that answers this question? Thank you so much for your help. Also I use the latest version of Illustrator.
