Hi there, I'm hoping this is something simple but I no longer seem to be able to scale my patterns to larger sizes when I upload them into a basic rectangle. As you can see I've scaled all the way up to 200% and thr pattern still remains small?The bounding box is on so that doesn't seem to be the issue. I'm hoping this is just something really obvious as I have designs that need to be printed in the next few hours and there doesn't seem to be an answer anywhere online. Really hoping someone can help me with this! Aside from several issues related with InDesign, which are being addressed, I have been experiencing several issues with AI, namely the latest version 29.3..1My machine specs are in the screenshot below.The most common issues I've been dealing with are:1. Often the app stops responding while opening documents. Not necessarily large documents. The beach ball cursor pops up and enters the endless spinning loop, document never opens and I have to force quit and reopen the app.2. While working on a document, menu options cease responding. For example, if I want to create a new document, it wont respond. I can still move stuff around but actual actions simply stop responding. App has to be closed and reopened.3. App simply crashes, randomly.Just like with Adobe InDesign, these have become more and more frequent with the latest releases.These happen both with local files and Dropbox cloud files.Hope you release a patched up version for this because overall, its becoming harder and harder to

Hi,I've noticed that in several versions of Illustrator, pressing ALT while using Save for Web doesn't preserve [Remember] selections, such as setting the width to 600px by default. Is there a way to make sure these preferences are remembered?Thanks

After I updated Illustrator 28.0, it now won't print a pdf. I can't find a solution anywhere. Does anyone on the forum have a solution?

issue persists with several files, if I make anythign transparent, even if on its own layer, save the file as .ai and then reopen it, random items are compleetly transparent. text, objects, clipped images etc. if I then copy ANY item from said file to a new file even if not transparent, the issue persists. I cannot find a ryme or reason to it and need to know how to fix this. I've tried new files, un/reinstalled AI. when I save my doc. all transparency settings are greyed out.please help - this is causing hours of rework when up against deadlines - images attached.  I am also getting an error within AI while working on a doc that is new after just creating type wihtin a box, it tells me it was created with a different version of AI, though its the same doc and the type was just created moments before. 

 The DWG format is not on the export list anymore 😞

Hello everyone,I'm experiencing a critical issue with Adobe Illustrator.Nothing happens when I press Ctrl + Shift + P or go to File → Place.Both Save and Save As are also unresponsive.I've already tried several troubleshooting steps, including:Updating all Adobe apps to the latest version.Resetting Illustrator’s preferences.Cleaning the installation using the Adobe Cleaner Tool.Ensuring all apps have proper access to my file system (Windows 11).Despite these efforts, the issue persists, making Illustrator practically unusable. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!I appreciate any help you can provide. 

I would like to use the objects on path tool to arrange some outlined letters on the inside curve of a path (so it curves up, like a U shape and the letters are readable). However, even if it's an open path, the letters are always arranged upside down around the bottom of the path (which would be the outside of a circle if it was closed). I've attached an image of what the default arrangement is. Is there a way to designate which way the letters attach to the path, or to flip which side of the path they're arranged on like with the type on a path tool?

I am using scatter brushes I created to generate a crosshatch style effect. My question is, is there a way to create a brush that alternates ie. vertical to horizontal to vertical, etc.I can get a similar effect with a Pattern brush but I like the more organic feel of the scatter brush.The attached image shows the scatter brush that I am using on the top, and the effect I am trying to achieve on the bottom. Thanks!

Illustrator 2021, MacOS, Catalina ....I have a solid color background layer with about 100+ groups of fine lines in front of it. While trying to adjust the position of the layer above the bg, sometimes I will accidentally select the bg layer... so, I did the logical thing and LOCKED that layer. Fixed! Nope... it still moves. It's only "locked" if you actually select it from the layer panel - then it it's all "Sorry, we can't touch this layer - we only move this layer when you DON'T want it moved -Annoyingly yours, Adobe"If a layer can still move with a lock on it, what's the point? A locked layer should NEVER move - there's a reason people chose to use them and it's not because they want them to move. If I wanted the layer to move, I'd unlock it. If users want it to do something illogical, like moving while locked, they need to opt-in - that should never be default behavior.

I have a good PC with 32GB RAM, i5 12400f CPU, RTX 3050 GPU, 512GB SSD, 2TB HDD. When I work, some files have 1~2GB size it ok, also some files only have a few MB, it supper laggy and uses a lot of RAM, SSD storage. Otherwise, all files in Corel Draw, everything smoothIf someone know how to overcome this issue, please help me

I "upgraded" to AI 2024 today, and half of my fonts are gone.  Still in my system (Mac OS Sonoma), just not availalbe in AI.  I have fonts that were custom made for me years (decades) ago that nobody else in the world has that I *have* to have.  So apparently AI no longer supports PostScript fonts?  Thanks a lot Adobe.  You freaking INVENTED PostScript, and I've been using these fonts just fine since the 1990s.  Now suddenly if I want to use the latest version of AI, I'm out of luck?In addition to running an extortion scheme requiring me to subscribe to get the software, now you're telling me I can't use it the way I need to use it. I'm ***NOT*** happy right now.

I'm designing a board game in Illustrator with uniquely shaped spaces (see attached images). I need to add a colored strip that precisely follows the top edge of each game space.This is how I want one space to look, with a colored section at the top portion. This is my overall board game layout for context. Is there an efficient way to create these strips that will automatically (or at least efficiently manualy) follow the contours of the top edges, considering each space has a unique shape?Thanks for any suggestions!

Today I went to do my regular process of selecting some art, and opening the Artboard tool to fit the artboard to the selected art ... and that's not only missing, but the list of artboards is a) longer than my screen, b) doesn't line up with the drop down at all, and c) contains dozens of presets that I will never use. How do I delete artboard presets?

Hi,Sorry for this oddly specific post, but I'm trying to open a DWG file from AutoCAD, I have installed all the necessary fonts in TTF format, using the default macOS font book. All I want to do is to substitute the missing fonts with the ones I downloaded and added to Font Book. Unfortunately, Illustrator only shows a "Font Problems" window, that states:romans.shx: Font not found on the system; missing font has been substituted.When trying later, to use Type > Find Font, Illustrator doesn't show any fonts as missing.I'm hoping there's an easy solution for this, thanks in advance. Also FYI, I already tried resetting my preferences, and it did nothing. INFO:OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.4Illustrator Version: 2020 24.0.3 

Images moving within clipping mask after save & re-open Illustrator v29.3.1 Tha mask itself stays in place but the image has moved upwards a significant amount within it. Not a bit, bit a lot. Currently, I'm using the latest Illustrator version 29.3. When I installed this version, my GPU was working fine, but after restarting Illustrator, the GPU is no longer detected, showing that a compatible GPU is unavailable. I have tried many ways to fix this, but I can't solve it. But my latest Photoshop version still works well and recognizes the GPU.  MY OS: Windows 11 Latest Update CPU: i5 13500GPU: Intel Arc A750 8GB 

Hello Friends,I facing a weird issue in Illustrator, while pasting editable text, created by just click and drag the text tool. The font is installed in my system and its happen with any font. I ran through google and chatGPT but didn't got solution on this. please help to stop this behavour. 

Roughly how long would it take for you to reliably select all objects that are completely located inside of the light green marked paths in the screenshot below when you are just using any of the default selection tools in Illustrator?  

I have a design with many boxes that have points and edges intersecting, one on top of the other. I want to be able to box-select points and move them without selecting any lines.  If I try to click-select, I can't select two points that are stacked one on top of the other, and if I box-select, I get the edges/lines and can't move the points without moving the edges as well.  Is there any modifier key or anything to disable selecting of lines and be able to only select points? Here are images showing the two points selected to move, and what happens if they're moved up. The lines come along. It seems there must be a way. Thank you!

I am experiencing a problem with relinking files. I often place images in Illustrator documents and then Chenge the file name of the linked image (Ex. File name : 123456_filename.psd) it is need the relink on the same illustrator file. It is have more than 50 images. it is taken long time to relink. so i need to relink with the help of script.
