Hi everyone, is there a scripts to make a design fit to any size object?so far i have been doing it manually one by one. i make a design for a t-shirt then apply the design to several different t-shirt pattern sizes. i think there should be a faster automatic way to do that.Thank youuu

In the latest version of Illustrator 26.3.1. I am trying to save a variable library and keep getting this error message "The filter cannot complete because of an unknown error" I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.When I revert to the older Illustrator version 26.2.1 variable library saves fine no issues.

 I've attached an image of this gradient going a line green colour when i try offset the path there's nothing under it i've definitely grabbed the right spot idk why this happens also when i past it into in design it goes this lime green colour aswell

HiI want to use variables to generate graphs (approx 100) using this tutorial When I try to use  Save Variable Library with a Data Set is present I get the following message.."the filter cannot complete because of an unknown error"If I delete the Data Set it works.Is this a bug or have I missed something in the setup?Thanks  

Hi there! I've been trying to use gradients to make pattern brushes and in order to have accurate colour shading on curved objects.However, without rasterizing, then image tracing a gradient, you simply cannot use an object as any type of brush as long as it has a gradient.Does anybody in this community of adobe gurus know how to magic this bummer away?Many thanks!

Hi,I'm looking for a way to set a keyboard shortcut to hit the little play button in the actions panel. I know I can use the function keys to play different actions, and I also know I can use scripts to bypass some of the steps, but neither of these actually resume the current action which is what I'm looking for.  There are also ways to achieve this outside of illustrator, but I'd rather not involve those on my work computer. Thanks in advance!

I have a jsx script that retrieves the font color of every TextFrame object in the active document and does a couple of math ratio checks.The script runs fine when i run it on an active doc, i have tried running it 5-10 times without any issues repeatedly. It also works when I open a new doc with the old doc still open in a tab, and again it works repeatedly.However  the minute I close an active document, and try to rerun the script on another doc (new or open in a tab), I am running into this error "Illustrator error occurred 1346458189('MRAP')" .the error is always thrown at this specific line  pageItem.textRange.characterAttributes.fillColor  i have tried the suggested solutions of $.gc() and reducing variables used in loops to no avail. I think this is more a Illustrator bug as it happens in a very specific scenario of closing an active document and is not specific to any doc.The rest of the code runs fine always.Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!Al

I am working on an annual report in A4 size, and when I transfer the design of the single page to another file in A3 size to put every two pages next to each other, I find that the texts in the design have moved from their places randomly.[ If I apply the create outline command to the texts, the problem does not occur, but I do not want that because I need to edit them in that file later. ] Is there a solution to the problem, please, because it is very urgent?

Hi! The colours in illustrator are completely muted. When I am seeing the same work on different screen the colours are very vibrant. It's messing up with what i am seeing and delivering. What to do? Please help.

I'm sure I've accidentally hit some shortcut or something. Just recently the "add new layer" is adding layers beneath the selected layer instead of on top. So instead of having the numbers go from the bottom up, 1 2 3 4 5, etc..., they go top down 12345 etc...Why? New layers have always been on top of the selected layer, or at the top of the layers panel, but now they're being added downward, beneath one another, if that makes sense?

How can you open the file, currently it's like opening a pdf file. 

When I put my mouse cursor on the adjustment dot located in the shapes' corners, my cursor correctly turn into the style of adjusting rounded corners, but when I hold and drag my mouse, the shapes just won't turn into rounded corner ones but will only rotate as I move my mouse. However, such things only happen only when I'm using the "Selecting Tool (shortcut V)", not when I'm using the "Direct Selecting Tool (shortcut A)".

I've done the Add Plugin thing from the Creative Cloud desktop app (MacOS; M2) but still no Apply button. It recognizes the text immediately, but there is simply no way to apply the matching text. Finding no solutions online or in this forum about this but have seen a few others with the issue.

Within illustrator if there is a rouge colour not shown within the masked and is outside the clipping mask area will not appear in ink manager, is there a way or a plugin to highlight the colours outside of a masked image. Thanks

I am trying to get my eyedropper tool to change the color of my fill/stroke in real time as I am clicking and dragging it over new colors, but it will not do so. It will only change to a new color once I rest on the position, even while I am still holding it. I'm unsure how to resolve this issue, or how it started in the first place because it wasn't doing this an hour ago. My keys on my keyboard are very sensitive so I must have misclicked and pressed something. I'm on Windows 10, using the latest version of Illustrator.

What is the window role and subrole for Adobe splash screens? I can't seem to find that info anywhere but need it for a program I am working on.

Hi -  Please let me know if I'm losing what's left of my mind. After updating Illustrator today, I'm finding only Right Click works to change tools in the Tool Palatte. For example, I could swear that to simply change the Type tool to Type On A Path tool, or rectangle to elipse, I'd usually click on the upper left hand corner of my mouse. Now, only right click will work. Am I imagining things or did Adobe change things on this update? Thanks! 

I have a Windows Desktop, running v.11.   I successfully was able to sent Photoshop 2025 as the default program.  Illustrator, I could not.  I've looked for the file location of the shortcut I was successful in putting on my desktop and task bar.   I keep getting the .exe file that opens Windows 2024.   I need a bit of help please.   This is extremely annoying although I continue to work around it.  Just trying to speed things up.   Thanks for any help you can provide. Retta

Hi, I opened an Illustrator EPS file I created dating from 2012 which contained artworks with gradient mesh, Gaussian blur along with ordinary lines with no effects. The lines became outlined and all the artworks 'broke up' with multiple squares and rasterisation of the mesh and effects = disaster. (screenshot attached of part of the file) Is there any way I can avoid this happening and recover the fully editable artworks? I am on Illustrator 29.3, Mac Studio M1 Max running Ventura 13.6.3. Thanks for any help!

I have a huion kamvas pro 16, and across all the adobe apps I use, (photoshop, substance painter, illustrator) the tablet lags so much to the point every stroke I make is too jaged to use. When I illustrate on clip stuido paint, I have no issues with the tablet/program. All the adobe programs I use are the latest update. I don't know if my computer's specs are relevant but I have 32 gb of ram and an rtx 4070. Does anyone know a solution to this issue? 

How do I make vector images I am adding to my CC libraries in Illustrator to stay vector? I (and my team) need to use them in multiple vector files and I just want to be able to drop them into new illustrator file as vector. Right now, they are coming in as PNGs when I add them into the new file. Is there a way to do this or they alsways going to be pngs?

Hello, I am trying to recreate this logo (the circle bit) but I am not sure how to do it. I have tried with a dashed line but I cant then change the colour of the lower left third. What would be the best way to do this, Thanks Josh=
