Bonjour,Lorsque je tape un texte dans illustrator, je n'ai plus d'espaces entre les mots et lorsque j'utilise la barre espace, elle ne fonctionne pas et m'envoie sur d'autres fenêtres (enregistrement, type de caractères....)Ma version illustrator est à jour, j'ai supprimé les préférences, en mode aperçu des caractères masqués je n'ai aucun caractère entre les mots. Je n'ai ce problème que sur illustrator. Merci pour votre aide.

  Okay, so I’ve figured out how to replicate this.Type something using the Type tool. Anything. Then let the cursor flash. Don’t switch tools and don’t switch to another program.At intervals anywhere from 5 to 60 cursor flashes (but usually 50ish) a tilde will appear. This happens across multiple computers and versions of Illustrator going back years. I’ve caught and corrected it a thousand times, but have missed it waaaaay too often. I had the phantom tilde make it into a national publication in 2018, and just last week, something that went to an important customer. I can’t be the only one this happens to. Cheers.

Hi, I accidentally hit a short key combo I didn't mean to, and shifted the rotation of everything on the artboard as well as the pasteboard.  I'm not sure what I hit instead. How do I rotate it back to its normal position without messing up my drawing? It seems that the entire workspace rotated rather than just the artboard. Thank you!

After the latest update I am having issues with Illustrator. When an item is selected, the bounding box is not blue as it was before, but light gray and therefore almost invisible. Anchor points as well. The artboard edges are also barely visible.  I can't even tell which artboard is selected at the moment. Bounding box, edges and artboard are all marked as shown in the view panel. Any ideas? I am attaching a screenshot for reference. Thank you!

I use the outline text and outline stoke shortcuts incredibly regularly, and I'm noticing that in the latest (23.0.6) update, the outline stroke shortcut (ctrl+alt+o) is no longer available? Obviously I can still perform the function through the menu, but does anyone know if there's a way to either reinstate the shortcut, or if the shortcut has been changed? Thanks!

I'm working with Kia's font, and in Photoshop and Indesign it shows up in as Kia Signature, but in Illustrator the name of the font is (presumably) in Korean. It also behaves strangely in Illustrator. Like if start typing in a text box with that font, any additional charcters I type (even if I type them between two existing characters in Kia Signature) are in Minion Pro. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the fonts and I've tried both the TTF and OTF versions, and this issue persists. Any idea how to fix? Thanks in advance!

Given a closed polygon in Illustrator expanded to a filled path, I need to covert the shape to a single line ffor embroidery and wondered if someone could help me write a script to do it.Basically the idea is that given a shape, find the bottom-left most coordinate and start a path. Extend the path horizontally until you almost intersect another path. When you do place an anchor and move vertically a certain distance following the outer shapes path. Place another anchor point and begin moving the to right until it almost reaches the shape border. Place and anchor and raise the path following the shape's path a certain distance. Place another anchore and start over for the entire shape. Thee result, when fed to an embroidery machine, would be a solid embroidered shape made from a single thread.I have the modern js to do the path, but I don't know how to incorporate it into Illustrator to make it work. If you know of an existing script or plugin that does this or if you have any scr

As many know, the specific CMYK numbers for cut lines is VERY specific from Roland (V3 540).  I am a teacher and my class just started designing a 4"x4" full color sticker with a perf line and a cutline.  They copy the color number from Roland exactly.  Then upon transferring that file from their iMac to the PC running the Roland Versaworks, the cut lines are visible, but not cutting.  Upon further review, the files that were transferred are put back in Illustrator and the cut line color numbers are all rounded up.  Therefore Roland does not recognize those colors as cut lines. I have searched a few forums with no luck.  Why are these color numbers being rounded?   Thanks on behalf of 64 high school students eager to play with the 540!

Using a macbookair OS14.7 AI28.1 In the past, when I made a change to some artwork that was linked to an AI project, when I returned to AI, I would be prompted to see if I wanted to update the links. That is no longer working for some reason. I have restarted AI, and restarted the computer, but still the same problem. Under AI Settings > File Handling > Update Links:   is set to "Ask when modified" Any idea what is going wrong?

I was sent a PDF that when I open it on Illustrator, it inverts the colors on the image. The image is embedded, in the Links panel its say NA for format. The file was originally created in Flexi, which I assume is the issue, I just want to know what and why. My solution was to simply invert them back. Here what's weird... The thumbnail preview in Finder display the color correctly, it's when I open it on Illustrator that they get inverted. Tried Photoshop, same thing, preview displays as it should, when opened it inverts them. If I open it as a PDF in Reader, it displays just fine.

Short of scripting your own, there are few pattern making apps out there that have penrose or other aperiodic tiling. Is there any procedure you could use to penrose tile using illustrator symbols? That way you can edit the tiles after the tiling is done ... leading to some much more irregular/natural looking distributions. Export from Repper.app then somehow replace all the shapes of one colour with a symbol – would not work because the tiles will have different orientation? If the Penrose tiles (or say Einstein tiles) could be replaced with Illustrator symbols, you could then draw whatever you wanted inside those tiles after your area is tiled. Posing the question in the hope other people are searching for something similar.  

When trying to log-in to Pantone Connect today, I'm getting a network error message on the log-in page.I use an e-mail and password to log-in.I've tried closing Illustrator and rebooting my PC, but nothing works!!Can anyone help please

This is a screen cap before click "select all unused colour" I try to click "select all unused colour" and drag the color to trash, it shows white, blue and black colour to me, but not gold/yellow/orange these kind of  coloursPs:I used black and blue for type/fonts, just I don't have show in this picture Besides, Is someone knows how to state colour specification for CMYK, PMS, Black & White or Grayscale versions? 

I pressed some combination of keys which broke my eyedropper tool. Now it refuses to pick up strokes (but can pick up fills just fine). I restarted Illustrator, but that didn't fix it. I wasn't paying close attention when the switch occurred, but it may have been some combo of <, >, /, [, ], or shift. Any ideas what hotkey combination I pressed and/or how to fix it?Here are my current settings:

Would be cool to be able to place a PSD with several artboards, and have popup option window to allow to select which artboard to pull in. That way updating the AI print file with a new PSD is easy peasy.

Is it possibe to have the 'Docuemnt Info' panel show Objects by default? It's literally the only thing I need from that panel and I want it open all the time, every time. Thanks!  

hello fine community, Using Mac Illustrator 28.7.3 and cannot get the f15 key to work when assigned in the actions palette on my wired extended keyboard with numpad.I've disabled the brightness+/- in the system and flipped the toggle to use fn as function keys already, so that key should work... but it isn't.Works if i use another fn1-14 key, but all attempts to assign f15 have failed. I noticed in the actions code that illustrator uses a "keyIndex" as opposed to a UI raw usage code 106 (decimal) or 6A (hexadecimal)... is that part of the problem? Can i specify the correct one... as far as i can tell the f15-f19 keys on my keyboard are not assigned to anything and i'd love to use them without installing a 3rd party key mapper. The keyset (from keyboard shortcuts) doesnt allow me to specify a specific menu item (script), otherwise i'd ignore actions altogether, but hopefully someone here has experience with at least getting f15 to work properly. Any help is appreciat

Un objeto bloqueado no debería impedir seleccionar lo que hay debajo.Tras miles de hora de trabajo y siendo que antes este no era su comportamiento habitual, me resulta sumante incómodo e imagino que a más gente también.
