Hi everyone! My Illustrator artboard is sized at 1200 pixels wide x 300 pixels high. I'm trying to place a PSD file that's sized at 1200x300px at 300 ppi, but when I do it doesn't fill the artboard as expected. Instead, it places it at about a quarter of the expected size. If I try to size it up, the resolution goes down to 72 ppi and the image is blurry. This seems to only happen when my document is using pixels as the unit--if I'm using inches, the image places correctly. I've tried both using the "place" option and dragging and dropping. I'm using Ai 2025 v. 29.0.1 on a 2023 Macbook Pro running on Sonoma 14.6. Appreciate any help I can get!

Suddenly the most simple copy and paste will not work from indesign into illustrator.It will work the other way (can copy/paste) from illustrator to indesign.Item a simple vector box (or anything else for that matter).Drag and drop, also not working.Literally NO paste option available in illustrator.I restarted with new preferences.I changed preference to switch off the SVG as per some other posts.Still not working.Making things very difficult for me, as that's something I usually do, with NO issues every few minutes.Please help!! Is it possible to enter a precise angle to rotate text with the touch type tool?

I have a super fast M2 Max 14" and when I have the laptop open and I'm working in Illustrator on my Apple monitor it lags really really badly (and has done since I got it a few months ago). Just selecting items, moving, recolouring etc and Illustrator appears to freeze for a second or two. The moment I close the laptop it works smoothly on my main monitor. It's infurating because I like to use my laptop monitor for reference docs/Zoom etc etc while working in Illustrator. Is anyone else experiencing this and or know of a solution?

Since Illustrator 29 and new Photoshop I suffer an annoying ghosting bug on my LG Ultra Fine display with 5k (at an iMac Pro from 2017). I thought is was only realted  to Adobe products. But it is not.It is a problem of the display itself.

This is a terrible bug - where no more artboards can be duplicated, after a row of 7 fill the horizonal width of the canvas. Even though there is plenty space remaining, AI won't leave a line-break so to speak and start from there, instead somehow it thinks "no more space on right - ERROR"  (all bottom row arboards were made manually by alt dragging, just for context)Also I tried to duplicate the ones on a new line, situated to the left, hoping it would continue to duplicate to the right, but I just get the error. For context I am using the Duplicate Artboard menu item on the Artboard panel  

Hello everyone,I have an issue with the software Adobe Illustrator on my Mac. I can’t activate the new color profiles I installed. The new color profiles don’t appear in Illustrator’s color management settings, even after restarting the app and the system. I verified that the profiles are recognized by other software (it's OK with Photoshop & InDesign). As usual, the file are placed in the folder (visible in macOS) : /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/... Is this a known issue on Mac with Illustrator? Every time I open Illustator 2025, this huge pop-up window appears, prompting me to upgrade my product. Selecting "Don't show again" does absolutely nothing, regardless of which I click next ("Upgrade now", "Maybe later", "View all...", or just the "X" to close).Not only is it annoying in itself (I can't/don't want to upgrade), it slows down my work by:1. slowing everything down while waiting for the pop-up to load2. making me waste my time closing it, and closing it, and closing it If anyone knows how to get rid of this, I'll be eternally grateful.

Hi, I have a problem when using the Transform Effects in Illustrator its giving jagged diagonal lines. And if used with offset path set to round, then the diagonal lines steps  become rounded.Please see attached image.I havent used Transform for a while but dont think this was happenning before i reinstalled illustrator.Any help appreciated thank you.  

I feel this tool hasnt gotten the love of smart guides. It would be so much nicer to have smart guides on this tool as well. same goes for reset option. EDITWell, going to Character Panel > Reset Panel. Its actually resets the touch type edits, but i had to do it twice. First time it clears the rotation, second time it clears the letter-spacing and others 

Buen día,La cosa es sencilla, si trato de abrir algún archivo del cual no tenga alguna o todas las fuentes (tipografías) illustrator automáticamente se bloquea y no puedo hacer nada, ni cerrar la ventanita de alerta que indica que faltan fuentes (si se pudiera podría seguir trabajando), literalmente toodo illustrator deja de funcionar.La solución que tengo por ahora es ir pensando que fuente fue la que se pudo haber usado e instalarla para ver si coincide, o preguntarle a la persona que creó el archivo me envíe todas las fuentes que usó. Obviamente no es una solución, pero es lo que hago para poder seguir trabajando.Desde hace ya varias versiones anteriores viene pasando este problema.¿Saben de alguna solución?Gracias

Cuando estoy trabajando en Illustrator y abro algún archivo que tiene una tipografía nueva, bloquea mi pantalla de Illustrator y solo puedo cerrarlo desde la barra de tareas y pierdo todo el trabajo realizado. Si puedo volver a cerrar el aviso la 2º vez que abro el archivo. Siempre que abro un archivo y contiene una tipografía que no tengo guardada bloquea automáticamente todo. ¿Cómo podría solucionarlo? 

All work paths exported out of Photoshop to Illustrator will not open. I also cannot place the path file into Illustrator. Running the latest versions of Photoshop and Illustrator. Any ideas on how I can work around this?

Hi, I'm using Illustrator 29.1, when inserting % after a numeral it moves to before? Is this a preference? I cannot find any to change it ...real irritating :  ) cheers, c

I've been working on some simple files but after 2025 update my illustrator shows this error message. It forces me to restart Adobe Illustrator even without any open file... it is very annoying and time consuming because the only way to resolve it temporally is to restart the mac which takes me around 2-3 minutes each time it happens (approximately each 20 minutes) this did not happen before the 2025 update any tips on how to resolve it? thanks. 

I'm putting together a brochure. Originally it was going to be bound in a large ring binder type book, so I made the pages as individual artboards in Illustrator. Now it's going to be a normal, stapled together book, which I think means my spreads will need to be rearranged in the final PDF export because page '1' will be printed on the same sheet as page '30' etc. Is there an easy way to get Illustrator to do that for me, or do I have to figure it out manually? Alternately, would a simple solution be to export it all into InDesign somehow, which probably does know how to sort out the spreads for me?

Hi, I’m experiencing a frustrating issue in Adobe Illustrator when trying to edit anchor points with the Direct-Selection Tool and the Hand Tool. Here’s what happens:I open a document and select the Direct-Selection Tool (white arrow) to adjust or delete anchor points.The first anchor point can be adjusted or removed without any problems.Then, I use the spacebar to temporarily activate the Hand Tool and move the canvas around.After that, when I try to switch back to the Direct-Selection Tool, Illustrator seems to get stuck on the Hand Tool.Once I manage to reactivate the Direct-Selection Tool, things get weird: instead of letting me select anchor points, the tool sometimes moves the selected object or behaves unpredictably. It feels like the tool is inconsistent and doesn’t respond as expected, making editing anchor points incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or does anyone know of a solution? Why would the clipping mask option be greyed?

Hello,  This is just a random example. I wonder if anyone could help me how to remove sharp edges on the art specifically art containing huge letters only, some letters have smooth edges while others look sharp/ with sharp pixels, how can I make all the edges look smooth? Can noise reduction do it or any other tricks?  

I've installed some brushes, but I'm annoyed the name wasn't changed first, and now I can't figure out how to remove the libraries/sets! See attached image for reference.

I have an issue that caused me hours of troubleshooting, but I still cannot figure out why export options are not being applied to SVG files. Here is my code—if anyone has a slight clue as to what the problem is, I would greatly appreciate feedback. (In this code i even apply the options right before export but it still does not work. Anyone else dealing with a width/height bug since the 2025 update? It keeps happening to me when I try to resize icons lately. I'll have an icon that's slightly off from being the same width and height to start and it's making it impossible to fix it. With "maintain proportions" on, I resize it to 350px wide, which puts the height at 350.0004. I'll then turn off "maintain proportions" and type 350 into the height, and when I hit enter, it changes both numbers to what's in the screenshot. I know I'm being too detailed and nitpicky about this but it's driving me crazy.

While I was working with the adobe creative cloud open on an illustrator file, that was saved previously on mac, illustrator crashed! I restarted illustrator but I had no message that the file was recovered, and the file did not oppened! I was quite sure that my file was saved on creative cloud automatically, but NOT!  What I should do? I really need this file!

How can I get anchor points on an image to be able to transform it with perspective?

Hello, I'm new to illustrator so this is probably user error. However, Illustrator keeps undoing my work with any keystroke I do after I create a shape or select something. I tried resetting the preferences as someone had a similar issue in 2019 in the threads. I'm on AI version 29.1I've got no security programs running, nothing automated in the background that would switch my keys. I'm using a Wacom tablet with all express keys disabled.  Many thanks in advanced.
