How to export multiple artboards at once in Adobe Illustrator using the "Save for Web" option?
Could you please suggest a suitable ExtendScript minifier and compressor with the ability to clean up comments and console logs?
Why is hebrew typing backwards in illustrator?
Hello, I'm interested to create an account with Adobe. Which specific software do you suggest for creating T-shirt designs that is user/beginner-friendly too? Also, can I sell my designs to selling platforms like Etsy, Amazon etc? And my buyers/ customers to use my designs for their physical products business like printing them on T-shirts, mugs etc (for commercial purposes)?
I don't have snap to pixel or snap to grid (those seem to have disappeared from preferences anyway) selected, but keboard increments aren't working correctly. I cannot seem to change the increment to one that is useful. However, sometimes this does work so I'm completely flummoxed about this. Thanks.
I am trying to print a custom Blu Ray cover that I made, but the printed result ends up with wrong colors, the images are fuzzy, and faint white lines that show up on the right side for some reason. I've deduced that these must be issues with Illustrator's print settings, as when I printed the same thing from Windows or Google I got the correct colors and no white lines, but the image was the wrong size (thus why I didn't just print it that way). What changes do I need to make to the Illustrator print options/presets to get my print result to be as close as possible in color and quantity as possible or at least as good as my printer will allow? (I am using a HP Inkjet Printer, probably not the best for this project but as I stated I'm 99% sure it's an Illustrator problem.) First image is a scan of the printed result with the errors. The second image is a PNG export of the Illustrator project with correct colors and quality.
I saw a video of how to use Generative Recolor on line art, but that line art seems to have been made in Illustrator. Can Generative Recolor be used on hand drawn line art (black ink on paper) that is scanned and imported into illustrator?
Remove the old menu system where you have to actually know the exact name in thousand menus and let me type the exact thing in like it is already been for years in After Effects and Premiere Pro.Here is the link for the uservoice page if anyone else feels this should be done: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/48937088-update-the-keyboard-shortcut-system-and-let-us-ass
Hi,Anyone who knows how to quickly find open paths that need to be closed? I'm working on a project with many objects and over hundred open paths. The tutorials with plugins and scripts I can find no longer work. Thanks so much.
Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on here? When I try to save a graphic into my CC Library, the graphic is saving with a portion of a completely different AI file. I'm using Illustrator artboards as an area to create simple graphics to import into InDesign. I select this simple white icon below (moved off the white artboard now, just so you can view it), Click add graphic to the CC Library, and then it saves with that weird stuff from a project I did months ago behind it. What the what?
Hi! I just finished a collage in Illustrator, and I want to create a stop-motion style animation where the items in each layer appear sequentially with even timing like they do in the reference video (attached). What's the best approach to accomplish this in Illustrator or any compatible tools? Any tips for exporting or setting up the layers for animation would be greatly appreciated!
I"m still learning best practices with color profiles, and just discovered this glaring deficiency in Illustrator. The default setting when saving out a pdf ("Illustrator Default" preset) non-destructively preserves all other Illustrator editing, but has a destructive setting by not including color profiles. I think this should be reversed, or at least allow the user to edit the default setting so profiles can be preserved.
When I open some Illustrator files, this weird pixelation shows at the top of the designer, as you can see in the image. It changes when I move my mouse. I don't know if it's an issue with the file, but I've tried exiting out of Illustrator and reopening the file, but it still appears. It there a way to fix this?
How can I exit out of this tool?
As you can tell, the screenshots below show what happens when I attempt to rearrange the artboard.I believe I was able to rearrange it once, but I had to reorganize the pieces so the first screenshot after the first rearrange looks ok.I was able to resolve some of the problem by "grouping" the artwork on each artboard as a workaround. Now, I can just move the entire artwork if it goes off the board. But before it was worse because a few elements would go off the artboard but some of the artwork would move along with it."Move artwork with Artboard" is checked on all of the properties.I believe this might have to do with "Alt + Moving" to duplicate an artboard might be part of the culprit, but not quite sure.
Please let me assign a keyboard shortcut to the ability to toggle the visibility of a layer with a keyboard shortcut.
I have to frequently restart Illustrator because its main control menu on top becomes irresponsive. That did not happen before. I have a Macbook Pro Apple M1 Max with Sonoma 4.3.1No other app in the creative suit behaves like that. This is extremely annoying.
I've been trying to use AI for over a week now, and it takes minutes to place an item, minutes to select it, more minutes to move it... I'm not sure what the problem is. I've tried 2 different PCs, and the performance is the same. It crashes on the Windows 10 after struggling for some time. The window 11 just screams at the slightest movemen of my cursor even without performing any action. I've used it for svg files before, so it's not exactly new territory. The AI version is 28.7.1All solutions I've seen so far are for Mac, and they're not helpful. I'd appreciate some help. Thank you.
When we export artwork from Illustrator with text formatted with the Arial font, the SVG code has the font set to ArialMT (the old Postscript name). This generally isn't a problem unless the image is displayed on a system that does not have the ArialMT font installed. Short of change the SVG code, is there anyway of preventing Illustrator from using the old Postscript name for the Arial font. It seems to be same with artwork created on MacOS and Windows. Inkscape does not have this problem.
I believe there used to be a way to insert custom graphics within a line of type by simply copying them from the artboard, and then pasting with the type cursor selected, but I'm not finding that functionality any more. In this case, I'm pasting large custom quote marks (that differ from the font's quotes) within the text. I'm doing this multiple times and need the custom marks to behave as part of the text itself.
Hi guys, Running Illustrator latest version on Mac and suddenly stopped working - can open the app, sometimes open a doc, can access/see the menu but cannot click or do anything. Only option is to Quit. Uninstalled, reinstalled, tried older versions, tried opening within the app, tried opening various file types etc. etc. but no luck. Help?! Much appreciated in advance
