I am experiencing extreme lagging issues when using Adobe Illustrator 2022 Version 26.4.1.It was happening before the update as well, with multiple previous versions of Adobe Illustrator. Therefore, the issue is not exclusively new to version 26.4.1. I thought the update would help, but it didn't. I am unable to do any work since the lag is just insufferable. I do not use Adobe Illustrator every day, but when I do, the issue persists. When I open Illustrator it works fine, but as I start working on the file it starts lagging. This happens on a large file, but also on a very small file like a simple Material Design 24px by 24px icon with only one shape in it. Even opening or closing a Panel, and moving it from one side to the other makes Illustrator lag, even clicking on the top menu bar, or just selecting a simple shape.What I have tried so far has not worked: Restart Adobe IllustratorRestart the computerClose everything except for IllustratorUpdate IllustratorUpdate macOSDow

Hi,I've been wanting to experiment with those features but strangely i can't seem to find those features under Stylize, i click on Adobe Help and i can use it that way, but that seems to be too much of a hassle every time, it says the features are under Effect > Stylize but under Stylize i only get Glowing Edges, which is completely different. 

Hi There!I am using the illustrator CC 2023 version.When you open the autoCAD file (extender .dwg or .dxf) in Illustrator, the image you put in as an external reference in the autoCAD file will not be displayed. If you check by selecting an object in Illustrator as in the attachment, the layer is recognized as "acad_proxy_entity".What used to work normally started not to work one day.Also, when I ran the same autocad file on another computer, it was fine.Currently, 2 out of 4 computers are experiencing a similar phenomenon. I ran a "Microsoft Word Visual C++" program recovery and reinstalled the Illustrator program, but it didn't work out.Since there was no problem with some computers, I think it is not a problem with the autoCAD file, but an illustrator's problem, and I would like to ask for an answer.We look forward to hearing from you, and thank you for your time.

The app was working fine last week, but now when I start Illustrator (V28.6) , the app starts but then gets stuck in 'not responding' mode. I tried the following to no avail :- basic uninstall/reinstall Illustrator- installed an older version (went back to 28.0)- used Cleaner Tool to uninstall Illustrator I have no Beta Apps installed.All the other apps work correctly. I don't know what else to do.

Its happend two times already, the illustrator suddenly froze. I have my .aid file and it wont opened.

Hi,I'm facing an issue with my width tool which is that whenever I point my mouse on the stroke line it gives me this icon I can't do anything with it although the layer is not locked, and my Ai version is CC 22.1Please help

This is the original image I want to export. The file is in RGB But when I choose Save For Web/PNG/JPEG it all turns out like this It ONLY works when I export it using Save For Screen with this exact settingsBut I dont like using Save For Screen method because sometimes my images always get jittered like this when exporting, I also doesn't know what causes this.. This is my color settings Anyone can help me find the cause and how to fix this?

Trying to figure out why my embed image function is greyed out.  I can't link or embed the file...

I just updated to illustrator 2017, and now I'm having problems.1. Drew line illustration with pen tool. Select All. Hit upward arrow. Get error message that says: "Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects fall completely off the drawing area." 2. Select All.. zoom all the way out to check the whole gray area for stray anchor points. Nothing showing.3. Forum says to Clear Guides. I check and Clear Guides is grayed out.4. I check to make sure no anchor points are on the edge of the artboard, though I can't imagine that would cause an issue. I move all anchor points inward. Still get error.5. Select All and try to paste on new artboard in new window. Still get same error.

I have an illustrator cs4 file set up in 300 dpi. when I save it into a jpeg, it automatically downsizes it to 72 dpi and the quality of the image is really bad. how do i keep a 300 dpi resolution when I save my document to a jpeg file from illustrator?

I've made a custom keyboard shortcut set in illustrator, but every time I close and reopen illustrator, it resets to the Illustrator Default Keyboard shortcut set. How can I force illustrator to always open with my shortcut set activated?

Hello, I got Illustror CS4 for many years, and unfortunatly , i have to change my computer and the Original CD doesn't work very well... and my computer doesn't have any disc player. How can I get the installation of CS4 , using my previous Serial Number ?Thanks for your help. B regards .Laurent 

I have an old HP Color Laserjet CP4525 for printing 8.5 x 11 pieces in my graphic design class. The color is not coming through when printing (I've tried changing the color profile, but I'm not sure what else to do. Is the printer too old to let adobe determine the colors?

I am exporting a file for print created by another designer. The ai file was packaged and looked great at first glance. However, upon opening the ai file, the text spacing is completely different than what I see in the quicklook/preview mode. There's a lot of widows, rivers, orphans, etc. I don't know how the other designer adjusted the text spacing but I cannot manually recreate the neat structure I see in preview mode. I considered asking the designer to just expand the text and resend it, however, we are in a time crunch and they are not available. What could be the problem? Any tips on how to fix this appreciated!

Hi all, Unskilled Illustrator user here, please bear with me.  I have just upgraded to a new Mac and Illustrator 2024.  I was previously using an Illustrator 2020 on an older Mac.  Printing to an older HP OfficeJet 5264.  Previoulsy I had no issue printing files from my last computer/Ai program - lines were clear and straight.  Now it doesn't matter if its a new file or old file, all of my lines are printing printing fuzzy/blurry.  Lines are also printing darker than the grey I've been using.  Anyone have any guidance on how to solve this problem?  Thank you!!

 Hello everyone, I’ve recently encountered an issue with Illustrator 2024 that I haven’t experienced in a long time.Quite frequently, I need to adjust my artboard to fit a path (mainly with a stroke). When I performed this action in previous versions of Illustrator (like the 2023 version, for example), my artboard would perfectly fit the path (don’t worry, I’m getting to the issue). However, now that I’m working with the 2024 version, my artboard no longer fits the path itself but rather the stroke applied to the path. This might seem like a minor issue depending on your field, but when you need to work with precision, it becomes extremely concerning. I’m reaching out to you because I know it’s possible to disable this option. I’m sure of it because I encountered this problem back in 2022, but unfortunately, I can’t remember where to disable it.If you can help me, you could potentially save me a few precious seconds of work. Picture to illustrate my point : &nb

I'm quite new to Illustrator so forgive my ignorance.    I'm trying to upload a poster for printing but when I save the file as anything other than a png, the vectors disappear.    I've tried rasterizing these vectors but they end up becoming faded as if I've turned down the opacity (which I haven't btw).    Please can you make some suggestions as to things I should try. Hi,   Hoping someone can help me, since I upgraded to Sonoma 14.1.1 Adobe suite has been so painfully slow & constantly lagging.   Illustrator seems to be the worst, are there any work-arounds? Really regretting upgrading to Sonoma and considering taking it into Apple to get it downgraded.   I'm working off:   Macbook Pro 2019 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB Intel UHG Graphics 630 1536 MB 32 GB 2667 Mhz DDr4   Thanks in advance for any tips!

I am new to Illustrator and am experiencing a problem resizing an image.  I needed to convert a Photoshop .psd raster image to a vector image and then size to a 2.25” width. The psd file was 9.88 MB,  3913 x 4321, 13.0” x 14.4” @ 300 ppi.  The raster file was opened in Illustrator and image traced into a vector, creating an ai file 2.79 MB, image 13.0” x 14.4”. The image needed to be reduced to 2.25” wide.  So in the next step with rulers displayed the window was proportionally reduced to a 2.25” image width.  Saving this change resulted in an ai file with an image 2.375” x 2.5”, but now a whopping 33.0 MB.   Why did the file size increase almost twelvefold?  I thought in Illustrator file size was independent from image size.

Hello, I need to create a DXF file from a vector graphic. However, the result I get after exporting it is strange: When I view it in Illustrator, it looks fine, but when I view it in a CAD program, it only shows the outline of the letters.  

Hi,   When we open an .eps image (which is created in Inkscape application/software) in Adobe Illustrator, we found that some of the layers/elements missing. However, there is no any king of error thrown by Adobe Illustrator while opening the file.   We need your guidance on a couple of points.   Could you please check and let us know if there is any setting available in Adobe Illustrator which will throw an error regarding the missing layers/elements? How to work around in such cases?
