I've been having a lot of issues with Illustrator. I have a 2023 MacBook Pro, M3 Pro Chip, with 36GB ram. I've just started a new job, and downloaded all of the adobe software from CC onto this brand new laptop. So for reference, it's a very new machine, with hardly anything on it to slow it down! Any file that I open in illustrator is really lagging, and when I click/drag to move it around, it severly lags, it doesn't follow the cursor, and disappears briefly. I have attached a video screen record for you to see. And I can't find anything online! Any advice?

Hey!Ich nutze fleißig das Verlaufsgitterwerkzeug und zack! - aufeinmal wird es nicht mehr angezeigt. Bei sämtlichen Objekten. Ich habe nichts außergewöhnliches auf der Tastatur berührt o.ä. es war einfach aufeinmal weg.Es ist allerdings vorhanden. Es wird 1. in der Pfadansicht angezeigt, 2. hat sich an den Objekten nichts geändert und 3. kann ich theoretisch raten wo sich die Punkte befinden und anwählen, sowie farben ändern und punkte hinzufügen. funktioniert also alles, nur es ist unsichtbar (was das arbeiten damit logischerweise unmöglich macht.)und noch 2 Dinge die mir aufgefallen sind:1. wenn ich die Transparenz des Objekts ändern will, wird mir das Gitter wieder angezeigt, allerdings verschwindet es wieder sobald ich die Transparenz bestätige (auch auf 100%)und 2. Auch wenn ich ein neues Objekt aufziehen will und das Gitter anwenden will, wird es nicht angezeigt. Chat gpt und Google konnte mir nicht helfen und somit wende ich mich an euch - hatte jemand das Problem vielleich

Hey everyone. I've run into a wall on the learning curve. I've created this hand with a lot of trial and error. I've spent the past 6 hours trying to work out why it's not filling with colour and getting colour outside of the shape I've created. Being totally new to this I know it's something I've either done, or not doing, but no amount of googling is helping find an answer. I'm hoping one of the amazing wizards in the community can help me solve my problem or direct me to a post that offers the solution. Fingers crossed it's a simple fix. Thanks team.

Hello, I am starting a project of creating floor plans in Illustrator. I had intended to create elements such as a windows, doors and furniture and save as library graphics. The problem I have encountered is when you save the graphic into the library, the stroke is moved to the outside  (as opposed to the centre which is what I use in my work). This means I have an issue when aligning objects. The objects are aligned correctly when looking at the outline view (see right in attached file) but not when looking at the preview view (see left). When using 'align to point', this is not working as the strokes are aligned differently. I hope this all makes sense. I just need both views to be correct, so I can be sure that everything is aligned correctly. Thanks for any guidance.

Is it possible to resize a map art object without maintaining aspect ratio? i can do this is illustrator CS5. currently, the only way to resize a map art is aspect ratio scaling. 

Hi, I'm trying to recreate a client logo in illustrator from a provided low res .jpg. I've recreated the design elements using the curvature tool but the font is a problem. The client doesn't know what font was used originally and I can't find a match anywhere. I can't really use the curvature tool because the font is heavily pixelated when zoomed in.  I've also tried magic wand and the creation of a work path in photoshop but as I can only set the tolerance to 0.5px it brings in a load of points I don't want. As a result, the import looks crazy when I paste it into my illustrator project? Any help would be greatly appreciated? TIA

Hello Adobe experts!I would like some help as there's no luck searching online.I have a project that is very labour intensive to replace images manually.Each artwork file have a few links that are the same image and needed to change per file - see attached.As you see, they are all the same graphics ...I thought I would highlight them all and relink, sadly I still need to relink them by each of them manually and it is very time consuming.Please enlighten me if there are any shortcuts or scripts.

The ctrl+shift+S command does not work in Illustrator. Also, when Illustrator opens, the landing page does not appear. Try it now. The landing page, which shows the suggestions and the last opened pages at the bottom of it, does not appear.    In fact, when I open the Illustrator program, there is a menu on the left side of the first screen that appears as follows.   New FileHungry   Entrancelearn FoldersYour filesShared with youDeleted   Finally, CTRL+SHIFT+S Command does not work. CTRL+N shortcut command does not work. So a lot of things have changed. I didn't make any updates. I didn't change any settings. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, still didn't work. Now I will completely uninstall Creative Cloud and reinstall it, but I don't think it will happen. If there is any setting for this please help.

Lools like there are no ways to force Guides to appear "behind" artwork?I tried drawing Guides separate on the bottom most layer to no avail.They always show in "front" of everything?I searched for a Preferences to no avail.No, I don't want to use Grids...

I want to use Illustrator's Actions to expedite repetite tasks.I tried to create the following action:  Trouble is, right after "Pasting" (some image for tracing from the Clipboard), Illustrator fails to capture a crucial step I need to perform which is to adjust the Artboard to the size to the pasted image?I go Object > Artboards > Fit to artwork bounds (or Selected Art) and I can see the command being executed under my eyes when I summon it with the mouse YET the command never shows up in the recorded actions? As though Illustrator fails to capture it?Any idea why? So frustrating...

Hi, In these 2 toolsCreate Object MosaicTransform EffectI see a live preview toggle is missing, if the development team cann add, that will make them more intuitive and smooth.The transform effect has Preview only, however a A LIVE PREVIEW would be better and faster. 

Hi all, I have watched countless video's on this, it never works for me, my shapes are too complex. Obviously, I want the flag to fill the black outline. I have expanded the black outline many times, I have made it a compound path etc etc blah blah blah. The flag is a png, have tried Ai file also. I have followed all the videos to the T and they don't work for me. It appears to be a very difficult thing which only some achieve, Any tips would be awesome, thanks. 

Hey, I have the problem that I have a clean area in an old version directly when creating a new project. Just like many in yt video etc.For me the area looks like this after starting: Foto 1However, it should look directly clean, as in photo 2. I have tried everything. Only after a few settings. Did I get this set correctly. Such as the video ruler and deleting the crosshairs (crosshairs are a drawing area).Unfortunately these settings (hiding the video ruler) do not save under View>Rulers>Hide video ruler. Foto 1: Foto 2: Thanks for replying.

Straightfowardly my parent tells me to learn this app, and I will get paid as an increase in allowance for making logos, background, webs etc... I've searched youtube for the full course or something like that but I couldn't understand all the term.In short, I don't know what to do, what do learn, what to practice to be able to making a desired shapes.

Hello, I made a design in Illustrator in cmyk mode, with pantone spot colours. But when I save it as pdf. the colours appear different. I viewed them both in files and in Acrobat and in Illustrator and in each software the colours seem different. Also the difference is noticeable when I view it on my phone vs pc vs iPad. How do I know what the colours will look like when printed (the design is for printing on cookware). I selected Press Quality and 'Do not Downsample' and 'Convert to Destination' and 'Include Destination Profiles'.

I read in the Adobe Illustrator reference guide that when you drag an item between two other items in the layers panel, black insertion marks appear between them or on the left or right edges of a layer or group. I have two questions regarding this:1. What exactly are insertion marks in Layers panel in Adobe Illustrator?2. When I tried this, a dotted icon appeared when I dragged an item between layers. Is this the insertion mark? Additionally, when I dragged an item onto a layer or group, nothing appeared on the right or left edge. Could you clarify this behavior?I have attached 2 screenshots for referance.

Hello When I click on the ok button after doing something in the recolour artwork tool,the tool disappears and I have to keep launching it from the toolbar every time...why is this?

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if this is an intended effect of the filter and I apologize if it is. When I make a shape/object with color, it will desaturate the color to an obsurd degree. I have tried to saturate it with a the saturate feature in the edit field. I have also have tried to manually change the color but it would still be the incorrect color I was looking for. It does not look the same, so I am up for any other work-arounds or fixes.Thank you for any suggestions!

I have hired a freelancer to create pin templates for Pinterest using Adobe Illustrator. I received the source file, but I noticed that Adobe Illustrator is not available on the App Store. How can I download Adobe Illustrator so I can use the templates to create pins? Do you know if the file can be used in Canva? Thanks. 

Hey there,  I have been working on a presentation on illustrator over the last week and didn't have any issues till today - none of my changes are saving and everytime I try to do one small thing like save the file as a new file or export it, illustrator becomes unresponsive and I have to force quit. I have unistalled the app, created more space on my laptop.  I have no idea what to do and this is extremely frustrating as this is the only time this has happened to me.
