Is there a way to show the artboard's name in Adobe review?This is something beneficial, especially when there are many different artboards.Thank you for ur help!

Hi,I have an svg that I wanted to reduce the number of points it has significantly. The original has 4400 points and when I simplify the paths it goes down to 500 which would be really good for performance in game. But when I export and open it, it still has over 4000 points. (I tried it with an already optimized file and it actually added many tousands more points). It is NOT a problem with JPEXS. When exported and opened with a text editor it actually shows that there are a lot of points in the file which is strange because when reopened in AI the paths look good.How can I export the svg with exactly as many points as in the editor?              (In Adobe Illustrator  vs  In JPEXS)

Good evening, I bought a mimaki CG-60 AR plotter and they recommend the adobe illustrator 2021*1 but I bought Adobe illustrator 2024, I would like to change it to 2021*1.

Just got a new tablet (Ugee HK1560) which I've been testing out for a little over a day. On the first day I was setting it up to work with Photoshop and after calibrating etc it all worked fine - pressure sensitivity is working fine across the board.I switched to Illustrator to ink a sketch (to get those smooth lines that you never seem to get in Photoshop) and I noticed that sometimes when I press down with the pen the create a brush stroke, Illustrator does not draw the stroke at all. The cursor moves with the pen but the stroke does not appear.It does this every 4 or so brush strokes which is extremely annoying and time wasting. Usuaully when it fails to draw the stroke the first time around - it will fail again 2 or 3 times before finally drawing it. It doesn't seem to matter how hard or lightly pressure is applied - it keeps happening. I thought it might be some disturbance on the screen but when I switched to Photoshop - the lines were drawing fine all over the tablet surface. Sw

I am creating a business card in Illustrator CC and when I place a text box with text the text is outside of the box a little bit. I am not sure what I may have done. Any help is greatly appreciated. ThanksMark

Everytime I try to open AI 2024 I get the screen below. I am also unable to click any buttons on the menu bar. I have a 2020 MAC, MAC OS 14.5. Please help me, I cannot get any work done.

Hello all,I was wondering if anyone else gets this, if i copy an item in illustrator it seems to lock to the origianl so if i move the copy it moves the original aswell?!??!Does anyone know how i stop this?thanks

 I can see in my links pallet that the image is not the correct proportions but I'm not seeing a reset function to fix this. Am I missing something?

I have a specific problem. I want to take an image, place a vector distressed pattern over it, then have the paths of the distressed objects be able to delete parts of the image. I was able to do this before...but forgot how. Do I do this in Illust or Photo.

Today I have allowed Illustrator to upgrade to 25.2.2 after it nagging me to do so for a while (I was probably about 2/3 versions behind). I now regret it as I now have two issues which I've never had before. Layer pane: I can no longer move layers in the layer pane by clicking on them and dragging to the new position as I could before and also cannot move items on an artboard unless they show a  Objects: Objects now cannot be moved by selecting the object and dragging to the new position unless they show a box at the center. If they do clicking and holding the cursor at this point allows me to move the object otherwise I can only move using the cursor keys and trying to move with the mouse results in the ding sound you hear if you try to select something while a dialog is open. Is there some change in the last few versions that I've missed ? Or is there some way to fix this behaviour ?

Hello. I need your help. Definition: There are so many folders in the "mass" work I do.As templates, they all contain the same ai files.I can't do them all in the same ai file. I need to make folder by folder. Request: I want to replace the fixed and identical texts written "Xyz Xyz Xyz Xyz" in the ai files in the folder with "the name of the current folder". I do this with Find & Replace, but I can make mistakes because I copy and paste manually. Can I automate this with jsx file or action? Note:The names "Xyz Xyz Xyz Xyz" are all on the same Layer and there is nothing else on the layer. It is always visible. It's not locked."Xyz Xyz Xyz Xyz" in different sizes and rotations.I need to use spaces in folder names. Therefore, if it will pull data like "%20", I should replace it with " ".   Thanks in advance.  

Help! I have come across this many times. I am unable to horizontally distribute text labels that have been rotated. They distribute, but not accurately. The labels originates from various data visualization software apps. They have the same paragrah settings.  I'm using Illustrator 2024 and the align/distribute tools. Thanks for any help! 

Hi everyone,  It appears there's a bug with the "View Using GPU" feature: it's greyed out even tho it's checked in the Settings panel "Performance".  I'm working on a MacBook Pro 13" M1 (2020) running on Ventura 13.4, and using Illustrator 27.4.1.  I already searched the Web for some additional informations, but nothing seems to work.  I'd gladly share some additional specs from my setup with you if you'd find it useful.  Cheers, have a good day !  BH

Sempre que abro o Illustrato ele simplesmente se recusa a abrir qualquer tipo de aba, quando clico em "Novo Projeto" a aba aparece e some rapidamente, se tento mexer nas configurações acontece da mesma forma. Já reinstalei o programa umas 3x e nem sinal de funcionar. Alguém sabe me dizer qual o motivo deste bug estar acontecendo?

I would like to extract the x-y coordinates of many (100s) of points at the same time, ideally all selected in a sublayer at one time. I know how to read the coordinates for individual points, but obviously this is not practical. Any ideas? Primarily a PS user, I'm having issues with AI Custom Brushes interface (AI 28.1)Instructions I'm seeing online state that custom brushes are saved to the current Doc -NOT the permanent AI library. One video shows how to save brushes to Illustrator, but that all those assets are lost if AI crashes (!) Is this still true? They suggest saving the custom brushes to a specific file instead. This all sounds like overly complex procedures. Has this been updated/streamlined?Is there not a simple way to create a custom brush & opt to save in a permanent AI library OR the current open file?

I'm simply subtracting a rectangle (with radiused corners) from a background composite path. It looks good until I click "Subtract" in the pathfinder tool. After that, it looks jagged (not smooth). I read this could be related to a display artifact, so I toggled GPU off and CPU on, but this makes no difference. The resulting composite looks horrible. What else can I try? BTW, there is no stroke width on the shape. Is a stroke required for the subtract function to work correctly and cleanly? I don't recall ever doing this before. What else can I try? Is this a bug? See the two attached files. One is after I hit "Subtract" and the other is before I hit "Subract" - pay attention to the corners which are jagged. Thanks in advance for any help. This is preventing me from completing submission of my art. Also, when I print it, it also looks jagged, so it's not simply the display from what I can tell.

When I export from Ai to JPG on every setting I get artifacts of white horizontal lines through my art.  Exporting a PDF usually creates file sizes that are too big to email, even when I reduce as much as I can.  Is there any way to get rid of these artifacts?   {Renamed By MOD}
