Hello. I have this weird issue on my personal computer, which doesn't occure on the device at my work place. When I try to export an artboard as an SVG, Illustrator expands the artboard at the button making a lot of white space. I export as svg through the export as setting, I have minimize and responisve dissabled and I select use artboards. I checked if there where invisible lines by hitting command + Y (I'm on mac on both devices), but there were no invisible shapes and no gradients or clipping masks. All my settings as far as I can see are the same at work and at home. I also tried reinstalling Ai and I even reset my settings. But the problem still occurs and only when exporting as svg. I have looked at other community posts, but none have solved my problem, which is only accouring on my personal computer and not my work computer, both running the newest system update (Sonoma 14.5). Does anyone have an idea, what the problem might be?

Hi Community:In the Brushes palette (Illustrator iPad), there is a "Favorites" tab, but seemingly no way to add a brush to your "Favorites" Does anyone know how to do this? Additionally, if anyone knows how to delete brushes from the Brushes Palette; that would also be amazing.Please and thank you.

Hi! I have been learning adobe for a while and wanted to start working as a graphic designer. I have been using cracked version up untill now and realized it was illegal and isn't allowed to be used. So I was looking the subscription plans and I can't afford to buy any of it rn because I have no money and can't afford to buy it. What should I do? Please Help...!!

Hello Community,I am somehow struggling with creating of Halftone pattern in Adobe Illustrator.I recorded my process to the attached git. I would like to use symbol for the pattern, that I can change it later on a change the pattern´s styles.There is something I am missing in the process, but I have no idea what is it :(.In the attached example, I just wanted to change the pattern color, and it change 3/4 of it and for some uknown reason not the last quater.  

Hi,So I have a text that I turned into outlines and added 3D bevel&extrude effect. Before exporting it to SVG I wanted to turn the new 3D object into a shape but expand appearance created an image instead. What am I doing wrong?

Hello, I work in prepress. We usually get photoshop / tiff artwork that needs to be in pantone, but our vendors print out of Illustator. We've always just converted each pantone color in photoshop to bitmaps and linked them into Illustator then filled them with the pantone.However, with a new updated Illustator (28.5) the bitmaps aren't working and just coming in as flat images.Any suggestions? 

I am exporting some vector illustrations as png so that it can fit the dimensions of an emoji, respectively 18x18, 36x36, 72x27, and 128x128. Every time I export them, it has a white line around it, and the smaller the emoji is the white line shows more. I increased the ppi from 72 to 300 and it solved the issue slightly in the exported results, but even inside of the program there is a white line that can be clearly seen. I have attempted moving the dimensions to a whole pixel in hopes of solving the issue, but that still doesn't solve the issue I'm having. I also noticed the problem has become worse since I switched my GPU from NVIDIA EVGA 960 (2gb of graphics RAM) to AMD Radeon 7800 XT (16gb of graphics RAM). I kept the same CPU, Intel Core i5-7600 3.50GHz, as I currently don't have the funds to upgrade it yet. I'm wondering if it maybe an issue related to my GPU, or an Illustrator problem. Or even perhaps my GPU+CPU setup causing the issue. I do remember having a sim

I am very well versed in all things IT - I know how to turn on preview, map extensions, turn on PSD preview in Adobe Acrobat, etc.  In Windows 10, everything worked great. In Windows 11, nothing works.  I am unable to view AI or PSD files in Windows Preview outwside of Bridge and Bridge is extremely slow, cacches terribly, and is not viable.  I have thousands of AI files and I need preview to work.Everything else works - all versions of an image, SVG, etc.  However EPS, AI, and PSD files will not preview either in FIle Explorer or via the File Explorer windows opened within Illustrator. Please help! Thank you!

I'm working on a set of posters for work and when placing SVG icons from my Library they render incorrectly, adding points and changing point locationas. Attached is an image of the way the icon is rendering in my file (left) versus opening the Library item directly (right).  I can copy and paste from the original files but that's not the point of having a Library. Note: The Library item is 'flattened' aka not using strokes or anything and is a complete single shape.

So, maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I have a script that draws simple stroked rectangles based on the users selection. If the user happens to have an item selected (or was the last item selected) where the appearance panel has the stroke visibility (eyeball) turned off, any new path the script creates will also have the stroked turned off.// create new path var rect = app.activeDocument.pathItems.rectangle(circle.top - 36, circle.left, 36, 36); rect.stroked = true;I have tried changing/resetting the `defaultStroked` variables but that didn't help. I have an enterprise plan accountt with some collegues, and i have a problem with sharing  work... we have the same version of adobe in illustrator, but the problem it's that i can't "Invite to edit" and they can... they also have the share button in their illustrators cornerswhile i don't I've tried... upgrating adobe illustrator, upgrating creative cloud, logout and login accounts, and they tried to share their work with me, but when i open it, it stays like this  i also noticed that any collaboration they can do in another apps like premier, etc... i can't...We have some work we need to do, how can i solve this problem.. i repeat.. we work under the same enterprise plan, and have the same version of apps 

Placed bitmap tiffs are no longer working for me. When I place the image it looks correct but when I move it around, add a mask, try to change color, etc. it inverts it or fully glitches the image. See attached. Any help is much appreciated!

Mac preview icon appears with .ai, .pdf , and .tiff files saved in Illustrator.  Mac preview icon does appear woth .eps files.

I have closed the LIBRARIES panel MANY times and it keeps opening. How do I keep it from continuing to show?

I use latest version of Ai in Windows 11. My Ai frequently crash. How to fix it? I have enough RAM as well.  

In the following screenshot, there are 3 squares each of dimension 50px x 50px.When I select the 3 objects, in the transform pane, it shows totally wrong width of 12283.4313px and height of 67.3556px.The correct dimensions should be 150px width & 50px height when the 3 are selected.Is this a bug? or there's something I can do to fix this?I'm using Adobe Illustrator 24.4.1. 

Hello communityI'm using a fancy grunge brush (like on the left), but I want it to be streaked.When I select the "dashed line" function in Illustrator, the line now consists of countless small grunge brushes (middle) - but I want it to look more like a long, interrupted line (like on the right, simulated with a dashed line that is superimposed). Is that possible, without workaround of a second line?Thanks for any hints!

Hi!I would like to make different arrows in Adobe Illustrator. First arrow would be "Harpoon arrow" with extended tail (that I could also bend - like on picture). The second arrow would be "Short thick arrow" (that I could form a circle with them - like on picture).Thanks for answering!  

In previous versions I could select multiple links from the panel, click relink, and then quite quickly flip through the needed dialog boxes to change them all. This was useful in my workflow of often needing to change multiple replicated images in a template. Now, that logic has changed.  If I select multiple links in the panel and relink, no matter how many I've selected, only the first one gets updated and then the process just stops. I need to select and relink each one individually. This is making it take much, much longer to do what is already a time-intensive job sometimes.  So, is there an option or checkbox somewhere that I am missing to get back to the old workflow? I've looked through the options of the various panels and dialog boxes and not seeing anything obvious.  It seems like they've either taken what was already a tedious process and made it worse for no clear reason, or it's a bug.

Hi, I am a complete technophobe and am using Illustrator for the first time. I am attempting to cut out an image of a leaf that I have scanned in in order to remove the background. I have successfully made a clipping mask and now have the leaf but am struggling to find a way to cut out the gaps in between parts of the leaf so that the background doesn't show. When I make another clipping mask the leaf disappears and the 'gaps' remain. When I use the pathfinder tool and 'minus front', the whole leaf remains and it brings back the other leaves that I originally scanned in. Any help would be appreciated, I don't know anyone who uses Illustrator to ask. Thanks!

This has only begun happening with a newer version, but lately when I am saving out files and checking the "Use Artboard" option, when I go to the actual file, it has scaled up drastically.  So, if I save the file on an artboard that is 1080x1920, the actual file is 2250x4000 and 2MB. WHY DOES IT DO THIS?! Never was a problem until the past month or so and is completely inefficient and annoying to deal with when I have to resized EVERY. SINGLE. FILE.
