Questions

Is there any way that a c++ plugin can change settings in the Adobe Illustrator perspective grid? I found the suites to set active planes and to manipulate art on the grid, but I need to adjust the grid itself. If the SDK suites won't do it, I hope there's another way, e.g., build a script on the fly and run that. TIA -- Rick

Hellow!Just bought it adobe illustrator monthly subscription for 26,43 eurbut they don`t let me access it.. When i go to open illustrator, it shows buy again! but I just bought it...On my bank account it shows -26,43 eur.On adobe account under my plans is not showing that I bought it.Tomorow is starting my illustrator courses but I can`t access this program. 😞

Hello i just bought illustrator from the website and it automatically installed creative cloud but i cant install illustrator. i only can buy it again and im already coonected with my account where i bought it. update isnt working i get the error code 191 and everything i try to do fails because of no connection or connection lost. pls help

Recently I've been having problems getting images into illustrator.  I can't drag and drop, copy and paste or place them. This has been an issue on and off for the last few months. It worked ok last week but stopped working again today. They just don't appear. I'm using a mac with the Mojave operating system and a 2021 version of illustrator. I'm struggling to upgrade due to the age of my mac (which otherwise works fine).

When dropping down the color for fill or stroke inside the appearance panel it is pulling up the preferences toolbar at the top rather than the one next to the color in the appearance panel which then also glitches out and resets it back to default appearance. By hitting undo and then trying again it seems to work but this is starting to hurt my productivity. It is kinda hard to replicate but its kinda random. 

I have 2 Tibetan fonts on my Macbook pro, Kailasa and Kokonor, but neither of them work properly in Illustrator. There are some boxes that should not be there. I tried to change the language setting on my mac to Tibetan(but there is no Tiebtan on my 2022 Macbook Pro.  In addition, I went into the "type settings" on illustrator and tried both options. Neither works. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Thanks!

Hi I'm experiencing a high level of 'Apps not responding' instances, mainly Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, I'm not dealing with huge files really and I'm using the latest Apple Mac Mini. I'm having to restart my computer about 4 or 5 times a day due to the spinning beach ball! I've resinstalled the Apps from Creative Cloud, but it's still happening. Any help would be appreciated as I'm not sure if it's hardware or software related. Thanks 

Good morning,I have had a problem for several days, even weeks, because when I use Illustrator my copy/paste works 1 time out of 4 out of 5, out of 10 even sometimes, that is to say that I have to Copy several times before Pasting option. is possible, and this only on Illustrator, I have a very good PC and recent Illustrator in the latest versions and which worked normally before that, can you help me to resolve this problem thank you in advance

Does anyone else have issues with Adobe Express generated QR codes causing Illustrator to crash? Using the Express QR code generater if I download as SVG and then open that file in Illustrator, the app seems to struggle to deal with it. Sometimes it will let you start editing then crashes, sometimes it crashes on first mouse click. Tried one today - managed to adjust the QR code colour and get to the export selection screen, but then the app crashed while trying to export. Then every time I reopened the file, the first mouse click caused it to crash. It's not the first time this has happened, it seems to really struggle every time I open Adobe Express QR codes in Illustrator. 😐 I'm using the latest version of Illustrator (January 2024, 28.2) on Windows 11. 👍

I hit ctrl b on accident while actively editing a text layer, and realized it did a paste behind (according to the shortcut).  Call me old fashioned but this really shouldnt happen WHILE you are editing text, in the event user hits the wrong context sensitive shortcut (ie, italicize etc) which might be intended for font styling or kerning etc.  Additionally, user may be zoomed into the edited text field left unaware of the paste that occured, potentially entire artboards away.  I dont think this used to be possible, and I'm of the mind it shouldn't be allowed.  After a bit more testing, it appears that depending on the contents(maybe ?) the text representation may be pasted at the cursor with ctrl v.  But Ctrl B and Ctrl F definitely paste the actual object.  This is on illustrator v29.8.2 x64 win 11 pro, reproduced on multiple computers.

hello again,  obviously I am still a beginner in some areas about printing, so I wonder about filled areas today :).  You can fill the areas by assigning a fill to strokes but also choosing the live paint (? "interaktiv malen").I am not delivering - most of the time - real printing files, but the clients get a file with a drawing in RGB and CMYK and later decide what they do with it (clipart, logo).  I wonder how much I have to think about overprint and overfill. a) when I choose live paint, then the fills don't have any overlapping with the lines. Sometimes in PNG exports this is visible, but it is ok. For PDF then I don't do anything with overfill or overprint?b) when I choose a fill for a stroke (by clicking on a palette color) and expand strokes later, then the fill is larger than the "stroke area" so there is an overlapping of the two shapes (fill and stroke). Here also I don't do anything about overfill, but perhaps overprint? (usually black alw

I have been able to successfully create clear app icons on macOS by including the following in my manifest.xml:<Icon Type="Normal" >./png/panel_icon_light24.png</Icon> <Icon Type="RollOver" >./png/panel_icon_light24.png</Icon> <Icon Type="DarkNormal" >./png/panel_icon_dark24.png</Icon> <Icon Type="DarkRollover">./png/panel_icon_dark24.png</Icon>and having alternate versions calledpanel_icon_light24.pngpanel_icon_dark24@2X.png Everything looks great on Mac, but on PC the icon is extremely blurry compared to the Adobe stock icons: I have successfully solved this problem in the past by using SVG files for the icons, but the last time I submitted my panel, Adobe refused to accept the app until I put back the PNG files. Does anybody know how to get sharp-looking app icons on PC?

Hey chat.I have an active Creative Cloud subscription for Illustrator. My account page confirms this. However, the Illustrator API is not visible for me to add to my project in the Adobe Developer Console. Can you please share how to solve this and whether it is a sync issue.

I have illustrator on Windows. One time it asked me where I wanted my default saving location to be and I accidently chose desktop. Now everytime I ever wanna save a file it only sets me save on Windows and it won't let me switch back to Creative Cloud. I've tried going to File Handling under Preferences and it doesn't even SHOW the option to choose a saving location!!! I feel like i'm losing my mind.... does anyone have a solution? Please and thanks

This image was exported from Word to PDF. I need to rework it in Illustrator, but after releasing the clipping mask, numerous empty frames appear.Sometimes there are dozens of them. Deleting them manually is slow, and I might accidentally delete frames with content.If there's a script to remove these empty frames, that would be great.Remove rectangles with no fill color and stroke width set to 0.

No matter what I do, when i open i new file or file that someone send methe units size doent open as cm I want to set a default, that any doucment i open will be in CMi can i do it?

 I want to edit the word ON to match the smaller size AND shows. Then, I would also like another saved file that shows the tagline in gold color (#C5A100) instead of red, when the metallic golf has a subtle vertical highlight to it. Please help!

Hello Everyone, I was hoping to get some assistance. Right now I'm in the process of editing some company logos and I need to export them as PNG's with different backgrounds.I make my edits with the logo and make sure that there is no background by showing the transparency grid:As shown above there is no background behind the logo, so when I go to export the AI file, I select export as -> then select PNG from the file list -> I don't select anything from the artboards option:Then I get the preview in Adobe Illustrator for my export, I select transparent from the drop down and it shows in the preview that it will show up transparent:But when I go to the file, no matter what I open it with, it has a white background only. This also happens when I select black background. Any help would be hugely appreciated because this is very frustrating.

Olá, procurei e não consegui achar opção de ocultar o ícone de conteúdo generativo na opção de "Sangria para Impressão" na última atualização 29.6 (16/06). Alguém sabe onde posso encontrar? Trabalho com opção se sangria sempre ativa e achei o ícone vermelho muito chamativo, interfere demais na visualização das composições, principalmente quando existe a necessidade de visualização de cores mais precisas. Obrigado!

I am pretty new to using scripts in Illustrator. I have a script that I would like to run in Illustrator. However, when I go to File > Scripts > Other Script and attempt to select my plain text file named SimplifyMeshToLines_Separated.jsx, the file is greyed out. If I save this file to the folder containing the Illustrator Scripts, it fails to show up in the list of Scripts. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks.
