I've been using Illustrator for quite some time now, and I've never had a problem with the colors.Recently the colors have become WAAAAAY off. I'll attach some screenshots. The problem I haven't changed any settings either.I typically use RGB color mode because...well screens, but I tried clicking CMYK mode, and the colors became closer to what they should be/darker.I can't for the life of me figure out what to do.In the screenshots the darker color for the posts was CMYK and the lighter was RGB.With the color palette screenshot, the colors appear right in the Libraries, but they are off on the document.HELP!

Mac OS Sequoia has defaulting EPS files to Photoshop and won't let me set Illustrator as the default App to open EPS Files. I get this popup:Anybody know how to fix this?Why Adobe and Apple continue to make stuff more fricken annoying and complicated?! 

Usually when unticking this box when saving a pdf, the file size would greatly be reduced. A 1gb file down to 200mb ish.  Or a 50mb file down to 5mb meaning its easy to send to customer by email. This is no longer the case, it make zero difference to the size.I'm having to use Illustrator 2024 to do this as the last update to 2025 stopped it working and 2026 doesnt work either. Luke

There are paths and lines and white objects, as well as transparent objcets in this. After and if I get approval to proceed I will need to make it a simple compound path in one color to print on shirts, etc.  My question: is there a simple...couple of steps to do this, or do I have to select each object and cut out the white parts and convert the lines to outline, etc to get this in the final form I need? I guess I could go to photoshop, select the black and convert the selection to a path, but I'm afraid I will loose detail that way. It can be done step by step, but I'm an old Illustrator user and probably am not up on more recent capabilites. That is why I am asking. 

My Illustrator (28.2) crashing when I switch language from English to other language by input language hotkey I used 'Left Alt + Shift + 2' to change the language to Thai and the app crashed after I pressed these shortcut (But when I pressed 'Left Alt + Shift + 1' to change the language to English, the app was fine) The app was totally fine when I type the text somewhere else (like notepad) then copy and paste the textor even I switch the language by using taskbar, the app still working My Operating system is Windows 10I didn't receive the error messages or crash reports since the app was not reponding and frozen out Actually, my After Effects got the same problem for a month but seems like no one could help mehttps://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/after-effects-keep-crashing-when-i-switch-language/td-p/14336630 Thanks in advanced for any help.

Can we go back to the days of yore when you could drag select items in wire-frame view and ONLY select those items and NOT the shape behind them? For instance, I have a few lines of text or shapes over an image or a large flood color within a group. I want to use wire-frame and drag-select those items without selecting the image. Way back when, and I mean going back to something like Illustrator 6 or 8, this was a thing you could do.At some point, someone decided that was a silly thing that NO ONE does, apparently and made it so that even in wire-frame, the image or shape is still selected. So now I have to click, drag, select, then go back to full view and shift-deselect the flood/image.After all these years, I'm used to it, but since I happened to be here I thought I'd mention it.

Hi, Has anyone encountered this bug and knows how to fix it?

Im using nexusfonts as font manager, im working for tens different brands and i dont want to install hundres of fonts so i activate/deactivate fonts to suits my specific needs. Since this last version of illustrator, when i was selecting a different font collection from nexusfont, illustrator saw the new activated fonts and updated them in the documents. Now it doesn't do this anymore and I have to close and reopen illustrator with the collection activated in nexusfont everytime im switchig between different clients documents. It's very annoying and I would like to know if there is a solution for this. Thanks! 🙂

Hey all. It's been a 'quirk' as you will since it launched versions ago, but will the Illustrator team ever make it so editing a Radial or Grid repeat tile doesn't then auto-open every element on any active layer below it?It's a bit annoying, to say the least! TY.

I'm having few problems with Illustrator that no one I aksed could help me.It started after uldating to 2026 version on mac sequoia First was with swatches - it looks like objects, groups and layers have their own fills and strokes, and these can 'sit above' the individual objects’ appearances, as it if was a 'mask' - I will try to desribe because I can't even explain:- when recolor a group, it adds a group fill on top of the objects instead of replacing each object’s fill.- when enter the group and recolor an object, Illustrator still keeps the group appearance on top, so the object never looks like the color assigned.- same happens to layers I don't know if there is a problem with my settings or anything else.I would appreciate any help, as it is making me work way longer to do symple tasks.Thanks,Ana   

For some reason, the smart guides have stopped working. Haven't done any changes and have updated the Illustrator too. Please help as its supper annoying.

Hi there, Everything worked fine until the recent update to the Eyedropper tool's sampling ring. After this update, each time I use the Eyedropper, snapping is automatically disabled, even if it was enabled beforehand. I now have to manually press Cmd+U (or Ctrl+U) to turn snapping back on, which is very inconvenient when working with paths and type. Even worse, after enabling snapping with Cmd+U (or Ctrl+U) and then quitting the Eyedropper tool, snapping gets disabled again because I pressed Cmd+U while using Eyedropper. This forces me to press Cmd+U once more to re-enable snapping. This is extremely inconvenient! Previously, I just had to press 'i' and I was done. Now, the process is: 'i', Cmd+U, pick the color, Cmd+U. I checked Illustrator's preferences but couldn't find an option to change this behavior. If this is a bug, please resolve it!

Hello,Please help fix this error.After installing Illustrator, the menu text was correct immediately, over time, some of the menu text turned into glyphs.I updated the cloud, updated Illustrator, reset Illustrator settings, cleared the system font cache, all in vain.Maybe these settings are somewhere in the account 🤷‍♂

Hi all,I'm using the 'object to path' to add a list of names to a circular path.However the names go in a different order as they are listed when placed in the path - what should not happens, the order should remain the same as they are listed. Is there any option, setting or whatever that I can change to chose how the names are sorted? Thanks allAna

The bounding box is off-center, and it's causing a lot of issues with the pathfinder because of it. I went into outline mode, made new documents, expanded multiple times, and it still seems to be an issue. What would be causing this? I've attached a photo of the problem. 

Hello, I have an issue where Illustrator only works when I launch when I am not connected to the internet. When I launch it when I am not connected to the internet, I can use it with no issues. I am using a 2024 Macbook Air.However, when I launch the program while connected to the internet, I run into many issues such as: Files take a very long time to open.Transforming objects either takes ages or doesn't work at all.When selecting different objects, the bounding box moves but the transform handles don't move.Undo doesn't workWhen moving objects, I get a big visual glitch. I have looked up other forum posts which suggest things such as, turn off live drawing and editing, make sure gpu performance is checked,  uncheck save in background, I have updated the system OS to the latest version of Sequoia, I have tried multiple different versions of Illustrator (2026 and multiple versions of 2025).None of these seem to have any effect what so ever.Has anybody else run into

Why does Illustrator version 30 show as an iOS app in system information on my Mac?MacOS 26  note: As far as I know, This is not a problem. And everyone else shows the same thing on an Apple Silicon Mac.    

I have a complicated graphic that I need to produce two versions of. I have spent a lot of time on this first version with the intention of using Save As to save a copy to another file name before making changes to the new file. Is that no longer possible? When I go to Save As... and change the name to ______v2 from ______v1, the save button is disabled. What could I be doing wrong that would disable the ability to save as a different file name?I thought maybe there'd be a Save Copy... menu option (which is outrageously terrible UI, but par for Adobe). and yet there wasn't. If I'm doing something wrong, I'd love to know. If Adobe has changed this--it's absolutely terrible and has anybody come up with a way around it other than copying and pasting to a new file? 

Hi all,  I don’t see an “Apply” button after selecting “Match Font” under Retype(Beta). Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thank you! P.S. I’ve already updated Illustrator to the latest version.

After installing and using the updated version (as well as the previous version after the install), Illustrator lags and takes about 2 seconds to respond to any click, command, or interaction. I've tried working in new files, old files, restarting, remote files, local files, etc. Nothing changes it. It's starting to affect my efficiency and I need to find a solution. I've already read other conversations about this, and none of those answers are my issue. I don't have Magnet or any third party apps. I'm on windows. My laptop handled the programs perfect before the updated software was released. Specs:13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13950HX 2.20 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, 32GB ram.  Also, worth noting: About 6mo - 1yr ago I noticed that copy/paste across the creative suite just randomly doesn't work. In a new document, when I create lettering it appears normal during creation.  Upon printing, the lettering is upside down and reversed.  I have closed Illustrator, restarted printer, deleted original document, created new document, recreated lettering. Same result.

Illustrator has suddenly become extremely laggy on my Mac (slow zoom, slow dragging, delayed movement). It was working perfectly until yesterday.Had installed 2024, 2025 and had been using 2026 for a few days/week.
