AI 30.3, recently updated. When i open a file and then go to ‘export for screen’, in the first window the path to export is correct (path where the file is located):but if i need to put the exported file in a sub folder, for example, and open the folder icon, then the path is whatever path i last used: Do other have had this issue? I tried resetting preferences.

I was working on a project in Illustrator a few hours ago, had gone out of the window for a second and when I entered the app again (literally seconds later) everything was gone. I updated Illustrator. I tried searching in my Mac Finder for Illustrator Cache and there are no files for it at all. After updating, it showed some of my previous projects, but not the one that I’ve been working on. It shows in the thumbnail all my artboards for that project, but it only opens one of the files I had previously downloaded on my Mac. I have tied ten times to connect to Adobe Support and after ten minutes of waiting for the chatbot to connect me, it just closes the window and asks me to rate the conversation (that I never had!!!) I’m incredibly frustrated. I’m a wedding invitation designer and I’ve been working on this suite for two weeks! Everything had been saved in Creative Cloud but now I can’t even get it to pull up on there. Surely all of this is SOMEWHERE?!?! Please help :( 

I’m creating a laser cut PVC jig for woodworking that needs a very high degree of accuracy.  I have a shape which is essentially a rectangle (with rounded corners) with the two vertical sides angled in by around 0.80 degrees.  I now need to continue those lines slightly further (maintaining the angle) without messing the other parameters or position up.  I can’t figure out how best to do this…! Any thoughts appreciated - thanks. 

...it only renders 1/10th of the dpi set. And since rasterize() caps at 2400dpi, only 240dpi is possible.Any neat ideas or work-arounds other than scaling the document 10x before rasterizing?

Open Illustrator, select Create New, new box pops up with print, web, mobile, etc. preset options - when I select the "print" option, the units are in points, how can I save this preset to display in inches? Selecting inches in "general" preferences does not fix this.

This only started happening recently and I'm not sure what to do to fix it.  Whenever I export a file using the "Export as..." feature, I'll navigate to the location where it was previously exported and click the "Export" button.  I used to get an overwrite notification asking if I wished to do so and I'd just click yes or no.  Now, for some reason, that notification isn't triggering and Adobe Illustrator is just overwriting.  I tried using Windows Explorer to copy and paste a file to the same location, and Windows "does" give the standard notification to confirm overwrite.  It's only when I'm using Illustrator, that it's skipping that step.A co-worker of mine is using the same version of AI and doesn't have this problem so I'm wondering if there's a setting somewhere that I inadvertently turned on that's causing it to act this way.Please help. *edit* - I've determined that this only happens when I have "Use Artboards" checked off in the export dialog box.

The new 30.3 update for Mac introduced "improved font handling in Illustrator (macOS) for better consistency and reduced reliance on unsupported system resources"However, this seems to have broken auto font activation with the Typeface font manager. Is there a way to get this fixed?Thanks!

This is really strange (and a problem when working with packages).The same shadow effect applied with the same parameters produces two different results.How is this possible? Are we doing something wrong? See the attached image.

Not sure how widespread this issue is, but I’ve been experiencing it for over a year since an update.Example: I have a group with many path layers. I move the group using the Selection Tool, then hit Cmd+Z to undo. Some paths move back, but others don’t. After that, undo and redo no longer fix it, since Illustrator treats the broken state as the latest version.At that point, I’m stuck manually repositioning objects, which can be tedious or sometimes impossible. It happens about 7-8 times a month, so not very frequent, but it can bring steady progress to a screeching halt and be very frustrating. Anyone else experience this issue?

i have adobe illustrator 2026 version. My spec- i7 14th gen, 24 gb ram, 8gb 5050rtx. I have a transparent image on top of another image. i created a rectangle, and pick colour with eye dropper and clicked on tha image, even though i can see black colour below the transparent image, it did not pick black colour but picked white. if i remove the transparent image on top of it and then pick colour, then it picks black colour.Before i had 2021 version, it picked black even though it was below the above transparent pixel image as we can absolutely see it. how to get that functionality of color pick in 2026 version.

Some Illustrator templates I find on Adobe Stock are 323.375 x 181.989 mm (approx 916 x 515 pts).What paper size corresponds to or is close to these page dimensions?Without this information, I can't figure out how to produce a paper document (unless I heavily modify the template).

Is there any way to input an angle for the radial repeat? I can't adjust the angle with the mouse because it doesn't snap to perfect angles like 30 or 60.

Latest version is 29.8.6. How long will this version (29) of the LTS be supported and what is the expected update timeline? Is there a place you can find release notes for the LTS version? I can only find them for the latest version (30.3) Where to report bugs in the LTS version?

I am currently using the beta Illustrator on the web (unable to download apps on the computer I am temporarily borrowing). I am trying to select colors for a brand but every time I click off a shape and back on to it the color has changed. I cannot visually see the difference but whether I enter a HEX code, RGB or CMYK values in the color window it will change when I click back on a box. For example, I set a shape to be #95B2CE but when I click back on the shape the color is now #95B3CD. The colors look the same, but I am creating a brand guidelines so if the same shape throughout the document is in different colors the brand guidelines are going to be useless. I was trying to reference colors on Pantone’s website but the Pantone color books don’t seem to be included in Illustrator Web, so I was copying the HEX from Pantone’s website to Illustrator but since Illustrator keeps changing the codes so I cannot properly tell which colors I am comparing. Across our studio we are getting pop-ups each time we launch a Creative Cloud application asking each user to “Allow”, for the message:"Adobe Illustrator 2026.app" would like to access data from other apps. This is typically something we would only expect once during initial installation or a major update. This is now happening every time the app is launched. (See attached image). We’re experiencing this on all recent versions of Mac OS up to 26.4. On a variety of machines (Mac Book Pro, Mac Studios, all Apple Silicon), and it has only just starting in the past couple of weeks.Is anyone else experiencing this, and have you found a work around?  

Ive just updated to newest version of illustrator, and i rely heavily on seeing what the exact dimensions of an object i’m working with is.The items in the transform tab used to just show on the bar without a window. How can i get this to show like it used to? The window itself takes up a lot of space on my UI. 

While I appreciate that we are in a long term relationship, and you have been very supportive after my messy break up with Aldus Freehand, I don’t appreciate you trying to get access to other applications in my Mac. When applying color to my type, color works just fine in the appearance panel however, when I go to add a gradient, it turns my text black. I also tried using the bottom panel, as seen in the photo and it still does the same thing. Please help 😞Thank you
