Hi, hoping for some help here. I’m trying to create a design where the grey lines follow the outer shape perfectly. I achieved this effect by creating two paths and using blend to get the intermediate lines. It sorta works but even with manipulating some of the points manually it’s not perfect.Does anyone have a way of creating a better version of this?  

Windows 10 64 bit - Ai CC 2019Each time I save my (CMYK) Ai file as a High Quality print PDF and then preview it in Acrobat DC, I'm seeing this red line surround my artwork. I'm not the most savvy person with Acrobat, so I don't know if this is just something that needs to be turned off or not. I don't see the line while previewing the PDF in Ai. Below is a screenshot of what I see. I'm concerned that my final pdf has to go to a print shop and I certainly don't want this to print.

Lorsque je fais ctrl+c et ctrl+v tout se passe bien dans mon ordi lorsque je navigue, que je copie/colle des dossiers ou autres mais une fois dans une Illustrator sans savoir pourquoi mon raccourci clavier marche quand il veut...Vous auriez une solution à cette énigment ?Je précise au cas où que j'ai monter mon PC il y a quelques semaines donc c'est un nouveau PC, cela dit comme je disais, je n'ai aucun problème ailleurs que sur Adobe.Merci bien,Viken

I am experiencing severe and increasingly worsening copy/paste issues in Adobe Illustrator. Copying and cutting works, but pasting fails almost every time, making normal work impossible. I have tried everything: resetting preferences, restarting Illustrator, using the toolbar buttons instead of shortcuts, disabling GPU performance, testing with and without plugins (Overlord uninstalled), clearing caches, testing scaling and high-DPI monitors, reinstalling Illustrator via Creative Cloud, and even trying older versions. None of these solutions have improved the problem. This issue is persistent and escalating, and it completely prevents reliable workflow. I need a solution, as this behavior is not normal.

 I downloaded a vector file from Shutterstock that contains a group with two layers: a mesh and an object. However, when I copy and paste this group into the file I am currently working on, the mesh becomes completely transparent.

I have a bunch of Illustrator files saved without PDF compatibility turned on. Does anyone know of a script that will do a Save As with PDF compatibility checked on and overwrite the existing file?I looked through previous posts like this, but find only broken links. Cheers 🌴 

Hello, We have $7k worth of plugins from a third party, which never expire; however, they only work with Illustrator 28.  Adobe Creative Cloud no longer offers versions prior 29.  How can we get this older version? Thanks, Vincent

I just updated from Illustrator 2018 to 2019. Everything is working fine... except I want to change "General" units from points to inches. It does not remain in inches. The next time I open a file, it's back to points. Any ideas? I'm on a Mac, by the way. Thanks so much!julie

I have created a suite of icons that have live type on a circular path. When I resize these (by dragging the corners) the type jumps off its original orientation and I have to reset it again - see screen grab. This doesn't happen if I scale it using the % field and I need the type to be live in order to develop more icons. I have had this trouble for many years and just manually reset them all. This is getting ridiculous. It has gotten worse with every update. From version 30.1 it has constantly corrupted the save preview with any placed images. Even placing photoshop files does not work. The placed image will either be completely out of place or just will not show up in the preview unless you embed the image. Place the .AI file in Indesign? Nope, the image isn't there. You have to manually embed it every time which, besides being an annoying extra step, it just bloats the file size. I am also getting “there is not enough memory” errors when placing small photoshop files. I have reset the Illustrator preferences and that did not help. Please stop adding all kinds of useless features and get this program stabilized and reliable again.

If I update a file in PS then go to AI there is now a delay in it updating the link. I have to go back out of ai then flip back for it to give me the option to update the link. It used to save the PSD file in the background then update as soon as it saved.

A week ago, Illustrator has started showing this message. The file was created on my account and using the same account ever since. What is going on? 

So from what I've been reading, apparently Pantone took out their presets in the Color Libraries, specific under the drop down of "Color Books". This has become an annoyance and I've also read that people have been able to go back into previous versions of Illustrator to import/export the PANTONE swatches they want. However, here's what I'm trying to achieve: - I have a CMYK color that I want to change to a PANTONE color. It used to be that if you wanted to do this, you would click the color, then go to Swatch Libraries > Color Books > PANTONE (Solid Coated), and that would then give you the PANTONE color that resembled your CMYK color the closest. - The key appears to be that the PANTONEs HAVE to be dropped into the Color Books, which I've yet to figure out how to do. I have no problem importing the PANTONES in as color swatches, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to import them into the "Color Books" panel so that I can select it. If anyone can he

While building Ai Command Palette I found a great list of executeMenuCommand() values extracted by Shalako Lee from the 2017 SDK. As you might imagine, some of those commands no longer work, and since I'm about to release v0.2.0 of Ai Command Palette I've been testing them all and keeping track of the results in this Google Sheet.   I'm sharing this here because I figured this might be useful to some of you who write scripts for Illustrator. The sheet includes the Original List of commands from Shalako and a working list of the commands that I'm testing in Ai v26.3.1.   Right now I'm about halfway through the original 506 commands from Shalako's list. So far, I've found about 90 that no longer work. necesito saber porque mi Illustrator me cambia de posición las cifras de un texto enlazado, ya lo pase a formato español, estaba en Arabe y tampoco entiendo el porque, ya que no utilizo Arabe nunca. Lo correcto seria art. 621-50 de la Ley 3/2017 en cambio al tapearlo me lo cambia a art. 50-621 de la Ley 2017/3. son documentos extensos con texto personalizado y es imposible cambiarlo. Borro y vuelvo ponerlo, pero nada pasa. Alguien me puede ayudar?

Hi,1) Since a couple of weeks i experience frequent illustrator crashes. I send the reports all the time, but i'm starting to also get frustrated as the auto-save (set to each minute) does not work. Upon re-opening after a crash, it says it recovered a document, that it will load it as "file (recovered)", and then just loads the last save of it (without the 'recovered' mention in the file name). Is there a way to bring them back?2) I also have an error on opening of each  Adobe software mentionning :Error in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Photoshop/photoshop_v2025.jsx / Line 2798:  No matching closing brace found3), Randomly, on copy paste, Illustrator prompts that i have an insufficient memory to perform. Okay... another bug.In 2017 AI CC, after using a clipping mask with text on the inside, you could edit your text when you double clicked on the clipping group/mask.Now in AI CC 2018, you can'tSee my screenshot. If text is inside a clipping/group mask, when you try to edit it, the Text properties DO NOT SHOW UP on the Properties Panel.I can open the separate Character Panel itself, but it is missing half of the setting. Why?So, to get around this, I have to cut the text out, paste on the main layer, edit it and then cut/paste it back inside my clipping mask.Or, release the entire mask, make my edits then re-group/mask it afterwards.C'mon you guys... don't you even check out your work before releasing it. Geeeze.

I'm using Illustrator on an 2021 M1 Pro MacBook and I'm seriously having issues with Illustrator: Illustrator will freeze while selecting colours in the colour selection window. It's unpredictable when it will happen, but sooner or later it will happen, i.e. I may be able to select a couple of colours without issues, but then suddenly the app freezes and I can only force-quit it.The app will always crash when I use the "Colour guide" panel to select a colour group. Both issues occur in existing as well as completely new documents. I am currently using the most up to date version 27.6.1 of Illustrator, but this problem has occurred with all previous versions of Illustrator that I've been using on this Mac since ~ 1 year ago.
