Hi guys,Another bug in AI 2025 29.7.1 that wasn't in more stable versions like Illustrator 2020. Now, you can't place an image with an opacity mask within a clipping mask, without the outer corners of the clipping mask showing as white when placed on top of another object. It doesn't matter what shape the clipping mask is – it will turn it into a object with square corners with the excess being all white. Very annoying bug and very hard to work around when doing signage design etc., for client designs. You can see in the video, the image works fine within the clipping mask if there's no opacity mask on the image.Please fix this ASAP!Many thanks!

Is there a reason why I have to constantly re-link assets from a shared CC library every time I open a project on a different device? Isn't that the entire point of a shared CC library?  So that we can share assets between collaborators and devices? Even if it's just me bouncing between my desktop and laptop - two devices logged into the same Adobe ID, both with access to the same CC account, and both with updated CC libraries - every time I reopen a file I have to go through and re-link all my library assets. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Nothing has changed.  Nothing has moved.  It's in the exact same place in the library it was last time.  I even have the library panel open before I open the file, just to make sure it has refreshed itself. Nope.  Still need to relink. What gives?

It seems that the Live Pencil Tool broke a small part of the Pencil Tool. With an existing shape selected, using the Pencil Tool to modify the path of said shape, the Pencil Tool line is now invisble while drawing/modifing the shape. Makes it very difficult to use.   <Title renamed by MOD>

Im not sure it this is the place to go for featcher requests but one that I would love to see is color gradient being added to live text. it is soo difficult to have to outline the text and create a compound shape just to add a gradient, and then have to undo everything because the client wants the wording changed. or redoing it when you forgot what the font was from an old document... I would like it all nativly, without plugins, if there even are plugins for this.

Hello 🙂Is it possible to make action which will place or paste something into specific Layer  (if i have few of them). I was trying to lock other layers and just leave unlocked the one where i want to paste my objects but its still trying to place it in same layer as it was from begining. I know its possible to make it on scripting but i would like to know if there is possibility to make it in action without scripting

I need a script for Illustrator that does the following:First path follows clockwise directionSecond path inside the 1. Path follows a countclockwise directionThird path inside the 2. path follows clockwise direction .... and this cycle repeats...To Illustrate what I mean see the picture:and this follows, depending on the amount of paths inside each other.Does anyone knows how to solve this?Thank you in advance!

Hi! When I save a document appears document info on the screen. Why?

This issue has been persistent since the August 2025 updates across all programs (or at least the ones I regularly use).  If I have Illustrator open for a while and come back to my project, the Libraries panel just ceases to work. At least it doesn't appear to work. I can't scroll through the panel, I can't click on anything, and I can't switch libraries. However, the panel is actually responding to all my movement, I just can't see it. It's like the panel froze as a facade and underneath it I'm actually interacting with all the assets. Sometimes I'll drag a graphic out and it's a completely different graphic from a different library. Other times when I'm lazy, and I can't scroll through the library, I just make my best guess as to where the colors or graphics I need would be and see what happens when I click.I usually have to quit the program and reopen it to be able to use the Libraries panel. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I deleted the CC Library folder in

Hi everyone, I've been working on files with heavy 3D effects and today, they no longer open correctly. I had three files in which I was using a mix of "3D classic" and "Extrude and Bevel" features. While Illustrator was processing things very slowly when ever I'd make any change to a design with a 3D effect, I had no other major issues until today. I went to open up a file, and I got the message "Illustrator Could Partially Read This File. We recovered as much of the file as possible, but some content might be missing. Open to view the recovered file". When I'd open the file, all I'd see was flat images of anything I had saved on an artboard. All my artwork off of the artboards was gone, and I could no longer edit anything. I had five files I was actively working with. Two opened up fine, the other three had that message. All three had 3D effects in them so I assume that's the cause.  I chatted with a senior member of adobe support and he got into my computer remotely. Howev

Hi everyone. After a couple of minutes working in Illustrator I suddenly get this PARM error message, then I'm not able to resize objects. After that I get stuck in outline mode for some reason and also am not able to save the document or save copies ect.   I'm using version 29.6.1 on an Asus Vivobook Pro 16X with Intel i7 processor, GeForce RTX 3050 GPU and 16GB RAM. Studio driver, Windows 11 and Illustrator are all up to date.I restarted my laptop a couple of times, reinstalled the previous Illustrator version, then uninstalled and reinstalled the most recent version again. Reset my preferences too and still nothing. I've made sure bounding boxes are showing and I am using the selection tool, not the free transform tool. Free transform tool works okay but I'm working with text and want to keep the size of the text as is, just rezise the bounding box. I thought maybe the file is corrupt so I made a new document and copied everything over but no luck. When

There are two images. One is round corner with hollow closed image & other one is round corner, filled rectangular image inside the hollow image. I used transform effect to equate the vertical & horizontal gap between them but it is not precise. Is there any other way to do so? file is also uploaded. Equate Gap

For example, I set the measurement from Point to Millimeter, but every time I start Illustrator it is still on points. I tried to reset with STRG+ALT+SHIFT, but didn't change anything. Hallo Zusammen, ich habe ein Problem mit der Überdrucken-Vorschau in Illustrator. Es gibt Farbflächen mit zugewiesener "Überdrucken" Einstellung, die korrekt angezeigt werden in der Vorschau, andere Farben aber nicht, siehe ScreenShot. Woran kan das liegen. Alle Farben sind in CMYK und global angelegt. Vielen Dank schon mal für die Hilfe

I've been trying to learn this for days and every method I eventually hit a brick wallI'm trying to fragment this word into several shapes.As such:I want one layer for each colored segment shown above.I know how to turn the word into shape layers, outline each letter, have them on a distinct layer each.I was able to do the W using the Pen Tool + Pathfinder Panel.But other segments are much trickier. The dot of the i for instance. Not only do I have to separete each parte but as you can see on the images I also have to connect the central part of it, other wise the dash is going to be open.I know this is so far fetched but ideally I would love to have someone on google meet watching my screen and teaching me step by step. But if not...Maybe you guys have a general idea on how I should go about this.I know there are several different methods but I'm looking for one that I can finally do this.It has been a struggle.

Hello, I've been trying to get this to work for quite a while now and can't seem to find any way for it to appear, I updated my illustrator to the latest version of it on 09/08/2025 and somehow, the smart guides lost the center point on them and I can't easily center my objects/groups anymore, I've tried meddling with smat guide preferences, snap to point/grid, attributes and nothing. It used to show on the previous version but once this update hit it looks like it dissapeared. Is there a way to toggle it back on or to bring it back? It's driving me crazy and I would really appreciate some help. Thank you,

Hi AllI have licensed a number of icon sets from Adobe Stock, and would like to know if it is possible to get the individual icons from the .ai file into a set of symbols? I have access to all the layers/groups, etc, but how do I get them to appear as a symbol set? Thank you in advance!!

Hi! My Illustrator shows me these error messages... 'We've hit a roadblock! There isn't enough available memory (RAM).' 'There is not enough available memory to process the appearance of an object.' I've already updated my Illustrator app and the graphics card to the latest version, reset the Illustrator's preferences, and matched the primary and secondary disks in 'plug-ins & scratch disks' to the same one. I appreciate that somebody can help me solve this issue. Thank you!

I use the Horizontal and Vertical Disitribute space buttons way more than the Distribute Objects by Center buttons, and would love to have them availble in the keyboard shortcuts menu so I can bind them. 

HelloI don't know how to explain better the issue - but for some reason, Illustrator  stopped allowing us to click on an object and resize. Text or form or any object - appears now:without the "resize" box around the objetct. The only way to resize now is on "Transform Pannel"normally when selecting the object the "resize box" should appear:I restart the software. Open new project. Open old project. Nothing restore this.It's very annoying and frustrating.

Hi, When I import SVG files into Illustrator (saved from R), they get completely messed up.  Random portions of the figure are missing.  Any suggestions? Best wishes,Lucy
