Hello, My documents are missing link information for embedded images, as shown in screenshot. The images are stored in a folder on my computer and haven’t been copied from elsewhere. This issue never occurred before does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you,Jacob

Recent windows update dont work well with my InDesign. I cant arrange page order or move pictures or text fields, and If I can move text field it jumps 20cm to wrong direction. I cant roll back to older versions of updates any more and I have been doing all "disable windows update permanently" guides that I found from youtube. My important deadlines are on fire right now, so is there any easy solution to this conflict between InDesign2023/2025 and Windows Update Windows11 24H2? Yes, there is "Roll back to recent update" option but it says "this is not in use on this computer". Yes there is also another way to roll back, but only to yesterday´s version that is 24H2 update version that is not working.

Suddenly i started having issues moving object around with selection tools in indesign. When ever i click the selection tools, it's showing free transform symbol and vice versa. I can only move obect around using free transform tool but not with the selection tools.  I had to uninstalled the Indesign software, restarted my laptop and reinstalled it back again but i'm still having the same issue. I have the latest version of Indesign 19.0. Please what can I do to rectify this problem because it's becoming so annoying at this point.

Hello,I have just completed a project with 35 InDesign documents, each one of which has at least one PDF linked to it and several SVGs which are all scattered in their respective folders on my system.I now need to package those and send them to the publishers.Since all InDesign docs are in a single folder, all PDFs in another single folder, all SVGs ... you get it ... is there a script to batch package all those documents? They should remain as separated packages, of course, just I would like to avoid having to manually open each one of them and running "Package" plus staring at the screen for about one hour or so...Thank you!

Dear community,  I can't export to print-pdf anymore. I have tried to update, in different versions of indesign. Or to trying to copy into a new document. Does anyone have the same problem? Thanks in advance,

Hi all, We have a logo used in our mailer with name "100% NZ Grown.indd", but when we create data using Create Data from InCatalog, the file name is changed to "100Z Grown.indd".  I've already reached out to Em Software, the company that developed the plugin InCatalog for inDesign, and this is their reply: That sounds like it might be an operating system or an InDesign issue, since it was imported correctly, and InCatalog is just exporting what it finds in the pathname property of the graphic. Likely the problem is that "%" in a URL is a prefix for expressing a special character as a numeric value, and it's being "eaten" by internal InDesign processes.We have been using InCatalog for over 10 years, and never had this issue before till we upgraded to inDesign 2025 last week. So I'm just wondering if someone has come across this issue as well? or is this a InDesign 2025 bug?  CheersTao Jiang 

A few days ago I lost the ability to drag a frame around in InDesign. I can still resize with the handles.I also stopped being able to drag groups in the Outliner tray in Sketchup.The two are only linked as they show the same mouse pointer icon when the action is not allowed

I have unistalled and reinstalled indesign 2024/2025 and it keeps giivng me this issue of note being able to drag any object to the left, ot if its selected skews it super far off into the right. There is nothing locked on the page or anythig. I have reset prefrences, the memory on the computer is fine, all other adobe apps are acting fine. This is making me crazy! Has anyone had this issue and found a solution?

I'm really frustrated. I've found so much conflicting information online, and nothing I do in InDesign produces an accessible PDF after exporting. I have tried setting the reading order via the Articles panel. I opened the PDF in Adobe Acrobat and the reading order was utterly wrong. I was then told to use the Structure panel and order content that way whilst tagging all objects, but the exported PDF looks exactly the same in Acrobat, with all objects scrambled in the reading order. Please provide some simple, step-by-step instructions on how to set up the reading order in InDesign so that, when I open it in Acrobat, the reading order will actually make sense. What approach has produced screen reader-accessible PDFs in your work? What has provably worked for you? I am working with a document that has body copy, images, image captions, headings, sub-headings, etc.

Hi!I'm using Indesign 2023 and the logo is not as clear as it should be. The .ai is clearer than the .jpg.I'm not sure why...  I created the logo in Adobe Illustrator and created outlines for the fonts and then saved it as .ai and saved another one as .jpg. I thought jpgs are best to use in print media. But there is a fuzziness to the edges of the font. The .ai is crisp and clear. I'm not sure why this is happening I set it up in Indesign and converted it to a pdf.  Will printers take an image .ai when going to press?

I can't move objects using the Selection Tool, instead it creates a Snippet every time I click on it and try to drag it to move it. I have tried retarting my computer, opening a new file, and creating a new page but each time i try to insert a photo and try to move it around the page, it creates a snippet and i cannot move it. I have tried updating indesign but nothing is working. I can resize the image and change the picture, but cannot click and drag the frame. Please help!Attached is what happens when i go to move the image and what the snippet looks like  

Since today, when I try to move an object, the space between my cursor and the actual selecten object is really big. This makes it really hard to move objects and get them in the place I want them to be. I have already tried restarting my computer, restarting indesign and deleting and re-downloading indesign. Help me!

I created a math-related book (now published) in InDesign where the cover and back cover are peppered with some relatively-sophisticated, intentionally-faint math graphics (see the attachment). The math graphics were generated via MS-Word (for "Equation") and/or MS-PowerPoint (for lines, circles, etc.) and subsequently JPEG'd for placement into InDesign (MS-Word/PowerPoint > Equation > JPEG > InDesign > File > Place...). The only problem I'm having is that the print quality (from the vendor) of the math graphics is inconsistent; one set of math graphics is clearer than another. Is there a better way to do this? Where else can I generate professional-looking math graphics, as one would see in a calculus textbook, for example, for InDesign incorporation so as to achieve more consistent print quality and clarity?
