Hello everyone, i am using  indesgn 2024 18.5.3 my scroll bar doesnt exist cant swipe vertical how can ı fix that  

I'm currently working on a document in Adobe InDesign that includes dot leaders to separate a series of fields. I've utilized the "Remove Blank Lines for Empty Fields" option in Data Merge to hide any empty fields in the preview. However, despite the fields being hidden, the dot leaders still extend across the entire width of the line.   I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this issue before and knows of a way to conditionally format the dot leaders to be removed when the fields are empty? 

The automatic recovery didn't work when i open InDesign the documents weren't recovered and no message nothing. In the InDesign folder there is no folder called cache or recovery or anything i checked all of them.In my InDesign settings it says that name it says everywhere with .../Cache/Indesign Recovery... but if i click on it there's no path it just goes to downloads, because there is an indesign file there i guess... Is there anyway to get any of the documents back? I've never had this issue, usually the documents are there even if i didn't save them.

I would like to link a data file to a styled text box in InDesign. When the source file is changed, I imagine InDesign will prompt with a "modified link" in the same way it does for linked image files. Can this be done?

Why does it jump one character to the right after running the script?How do I make it so that it keeps the entire modified area ([GENERAL]) selected?  // Add a specific symbol to the selection area, just modify what's between the ” app.selection[0].contents = "[" + app.selection[0].contents + "]";   

I'm looking for recommendations on Punjabi compatible fonts: I'm working on foreign language InDesign documents that must become accessible PDFs.  The translator company applied Noto Sans Gurmukhi to the Punjabi ID file. This typeface is compatible with several other Asian languages. However, for Punjabi, it presents character encoding issues.I've applied Punjabi lang to each paragraph style and then set the Acrobat lang to pa. This results in the charcter encoding issue.I've also applied "no language" to the each paragraph stytle and the sent the Acrobat lang to pa. This results in the character encoding issue.

Trying to develop a script that will align an object horizontally center and vertically to bottom. This from a friend - can anyone help?..... "I did a layout for someone with the intent of it becoming a web page in the end. I used Indesign, version 6, still saving money with using that.  When I export to HTML, the person doing the actual web page work on this tells me it does not work with the modern tools they use today. My CS6 is 12 years old.  What kind of export option does the cloud version of indesign have?  And can you just export a layout to some sort of HTML or what ever the new standard is and have that come pretty close to what was intended?"     <Title renamed by MOD>

I have an InDesign file with a single page (single spread, currently  content on a single layer). I can export the page but I would also like to create separate exports of  segments of the same page including all the content within that segment. I don't want to keep multiple copies in sync with manual edits. Is there some what to accomplish this with InDesign?   Using the image below as an example. I want to end up with 4 exports Content in the black rectangle including white, red, greenWhite rounded rectangle and its content Red vertical rectangle and its contentGreen rectangle and its content 

How do I make one end of a gradient transparent? As in, so that one end of it is fading away, as opposed to turning into 'Paper'/ white (which seems to be the case with Gradient Feather tool).When I try using Gradient the way I do in Illustrator (set both colour stops to same colour, with one stop at 0% opacity) it doesn't work as there isn't a way to adjust colour stop's opacity in InDesingn (or I'm totally missing it!) please help 😞     <Title renamed by MOD>

I'm assisting a client who wants the percentage symbol to show on the right of any set of numbers. The scenario is as follows… Arabic text going from right to left that has Arabic numerals within the text, when the percentage symbol is typed, it normally goes to the right of the numerals eg. 2.5%.The client is deleting the % symbol manually, then type it to show as follows… %2.5 which is what they need.Is there a way to use GREP search to shift the % position from right to left? Note, the number of digits varies such as 12.07%, or 1%.

Hi all! I'm running InDesign CC 2017 on my Mac (Sierra 10.12.2) and experiencing issues with packaging files. (It's probably noteworthy that I'm also connected to a server here at work, and that connection can sometimes be exceptionally slow.)Here are the issues I'm experiencing, using one recent book layout as an example:1) Not all links get packaged. It looks like InDesign skips out on about half of them, i.e. there was a document with 112 links and it packaged 65. I don't see a pattern in its selection process... but here's the really weird thing: if I try to manually add one of the links it missed inside the Links folder, I get a dialog box from Finder asking me if I want to replace it. In addition, if I right-click on a link I know was skipped from the packaged .indd file's Links panel, and ask it to reveal in Finder — I watch it suddenly appear in the Links folder in front of my eyes. I have made an interactive pdf from Indesign. When I open it in Microsoft Edge a strange content meny appears left in Edge; a list display. It is mostly the headlines in the document, but also some strange references that doesn`t belong in the document. What are they, and how to make it dissapear to not confuse our users?

Ich benutze den Mac Studio M1 Max und zwei Bildschirme Benq PD3200Q.Wenn der Mac aus dem Ruhestand kommt, sind meine Fenster in Indesign (Werkzeugpaletten)komplett verschoben; teilweises außerhalb des Bildschirms.Auf dem linken Bildschirm habe ich das Hauptfenster von InDesign und auf dem rechtenBildschirm sind meine ganzen Paletten.Das ist wirklich seltsam wie schlecht Acrobat, InDesign und Illustrator funktionieren.Seitdem es die neuen Prozessoren von Apple gibt (M1 etc.) funktioniert Adobenicht mehr ordnungsgemäß.

Hallo liebe Community, ich habe seit heute einen Fehler beim Datenzusammenführungs-Fenster in Indesign 20.0:Wenn ich eine Datenquelle ausgewählt habe, verdeckt weiterhin die Anleitung die möglichen Datenfelder, siehe Screenshot.   Ich habe Indesign bereits deinstalliert und neu installiert, der Fehler ist nach wie vor da.Kennt jemand den Fehler und weiß, wie ich ihn beheben kann? Vielen Dank für Hilfe und viele GrüßeJasmin   

Hola, soy diseñador y he realizado con Indesign un documento interactivo para un cliente (tambien usuario de adobe). Mi cliente quiere enviar el enlace al documento a sus asociados, pero quiere tener el documento en su espació y no que esté alojado en el mio. ¿Se puede hacer? ¿Puedo publicar desde mi ordenador con su ID de adobe de otro cliente? Gracias 

I have created a book file in InDesign, the book file is made up of several InDesign documents, each docment has master pages setup which have coloured tabs down the edge of the document that display the book chapter titles. I have created hyperlinks using these chapter titles, and linked them to each seperate InDesign document for the chapters. There are no error warnings in InDesign, but yet when I export the book file to PDF these links when clicked on do not take you to the correct page I specified for the documents, each link I click on takes me to the first page of the overall PDF. When i exported to PDF I made sure the hyperlinks option is selected/ticked. So I can't work out why these hyperlinks are not taking you to the page I setup in the InDesign file.      <Title renamed by MOD>

Hi all,If I have a word with a hyphenation (eg well-defined) is doens't break off at the hyphenation in English. It does when the text is set in Dutch. How can I fix this?Thanks for your help!
