I've been digitizing B&W negatives with my OM System camera and processing the files through Lightroom Classic. Generally good results. I decided to try high-res mode, where the camera combines a series of photos taken as the camera's sensor shifts microscopically. Processed in Lightroom (import with card reader, crop to edge of negative, desaturate, run through Negative Lab Pro) you can see the film grain, but it's very fuzzy. But the same files loaded into OM Workspace then immediately exported as TIFFs to Lightroom and otherwise processed identically, produce cracking sharp images, with film grain clearly delineated. It seems like Lightroom isn't properly handling the OM System file. Why not? I am using Lightroom Classic, version 13.2, running on Mac OS 14.2.1 (Sonoma). The camera is an OM-1 Mark II. Here's a partial screen shot showing a comparison, zoomed to 200%. 

So I am trying to send some current develop settings to my Stream deck using the SDK and am looking for the right way to obtain the values whenever the Develop Tab is opened, a new photo is selected, or adjustments have been made. Hi Im using LRC on a m2 mac and i recently had a hard drive fail and nearly lost thousands of images thankfull an app managed to copy the drive and all is well.I I have always backed up my LR CAT however what does it actually back up? is it just the edits or is it everything? im looking for a solution or a better Understanding of what LRC is actually doing when backing up.I now have all my raw files on two seperate HD external drives I wlos am in the process of sending them all to Icloud so three copies of everything Should the new drive fail, and it is unrecoverable how would i go about  restoreing evertything? What is the process?  or is there a betterway to avoid the near hert attack i had this week lol 

Hi all . Need your help .Trying to cable tether nikon Z9 & Z8 with Lr but the camera does not write images on the card.Everything is up to date (cameras and Lr14).Also the moment i tether the cameras the format card menu in the camera goes grey..I tried everything . Luckily i was able to use Nx studio for the job.But the Lr suits my needs way better. Any solutions , ideas ?Thank you in advance all !!!  

I've had 4 attempts at uploading photos from an sd card (that has always worked) with 14.1 & 14.1.1Lightroom keeps locking up part way through (at different stages) and crashing my PC. I have ample disk space etc.I'm using windows 10.Very frustrating ... any suggestions?

Lightroom Classic 14.1 on Windows 11 When I edit a photo in Photoshop choosing the option "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments" with following parameters:File format: JPGColor Space sRGBBit depth: 8 bits/componentResolution: 240Lightroom Classic creates a huge JPG file, more than 100 MB for a 45Mpx image (shot by Nikon Z8) or even for a 24Mpx (shot by Nikon Z6II). The file is so big that PS can't open it and gives me the error message "Photoshop could not complete your request because of a program error". I have no problem opening any other file I have. If I use any other external editor (even Paint, but usually I use Topaz Denoise AI) with the same export parameters, the JPG file created by Lightroom Classic has the usual size of 6-8 MB and I have no problem opening in Photoshop.

I've had my computer taken in twice after randomly crashing, getting super hot- fans kick on automatically the first time they diagnosed a logic board failure. They then updated to 32gb where was 16gb under Apple warranty. Well now it crashes even faster, but passes every diagnostic test. It crashed and froze in the store as well and the repair Apple certified store now has to send to Apple to figure it out and I am not not understanding why it's mostly involving adobe. It has more then enough space, hardware is new. Frustrated I spend so much on the laptop and so much on my subscriptions. Anyone have this too?

Hi,I use a large OneDrive account (several TBs) to store my photos, using them mainly on 2 devices.On this Onedrive account the LR Classic catalog files are also stored. The folder is always / automatically synced. But sometimes I have problems to open a catalog. In the worst case I can't open it anymore – without getting any error message. And in the Task-Manager it looks like this:   My question: can I use/save only the LR catalog file in the Adobe Creative Cloud Storage, but leave the photos where they are, in OneDrive? Thanks!mycc  ... my photos take up more than 100 GB – too large for the Creative Cloud Storage ...  Edit: I was able to repair the corrupt catalog via:https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-crash-or-freeze.html#:~:text=Press%20and%20hold%20the%20Alt... but my question is still the same 😉

I can't tethering sony a7iv in lightroom (macos)

All of my photos and videos are on Network Attached Storage with backups, redundancy etc. I am trying to make an import preset that takes Videos off of an SD card, and copies them to the network folder.   \\HomeServer\Video Yet, when I attempt to import, this network location does not show up as a destination.  There's no way for me to add it.  I only see local drives an mapped drive letters. The problem is that if i map a drive (example V:\ to \\HomeServer\Video) then all of the videos open under a new folder name inside lightroom instead of the \\HomeServer\Video folder. How can I get my imports to go right to  V:\ to \\HomeServer\Video without having a folder called V:\  Hitting the little "+" at the top of this dialog doesn't seem to do anything.

Hi, I have an annoying problem. When I hover with the mouse over a picture in develop mode the picture becomes slightly brighter. However, sometimes it gets darker. This also affects the background (grey in my case). Only restarting LrC helps. Aynone knows what the problem is?

Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to buy Lightroom Classic as a monthly subscription. In my account I only see the option of an annual subscription with monthly billing. But that means I can't cancel monthly, right?

I'm using Lightroom Classic 9.2 on macOS Catalina 10.15.3.  I'm trying to import photos and videos from my iPhone XS Max/iOS 13.3.1.  The import process never ends.  What happens is:Start the import process to import ~1000 items from my iPhone attached directly via USB-C Lightning cable.  The destination folder is one which Lightroom has successfully imported photos to my SD card.At the start of the import process, previews for a few photos are displayed initially and then none until I cancel the import.After a few minutes, the progress bar shows no progress.If I cancel the import process, an error is displayed. "The following files were not imported because they could not be read or the destination is not writable (1)"The error shows a number of video files that could not be imported.  In this example, these files are 452,659,828MB.Generally, the import process has imported many more photos/videos than the previews indicate.  The preview images don't seem

HiTrying to burn DNG to JPEG and when I try I get the message " Lightroom cannot burn data because it cannot locate a drive that supports burning"

I am a photographer who uses mostly Photoshop and Lightroom classic. I shoot both Sony A7R5 raw and also have the smaller APS-C Sony 6000 shooting raw for street, travel and hiking. I have been using them on both with an Intel MBP and a Intel WIndows 10 machine. My computers are getting long in the tooth so I'm looking to upgrade to either a: MBA M3 15", 8-CPU, 10GPU, 24GB Mem with a 1TB SSDorMBP M4 Pro 16",  14-CPU, 20GPU, 48GB Mem with a 1TB SSDorMBP M4 Max 16",  16-CPU, 40GPU, 64GB Mem with a 1TB SSD I love the size weight and price of the MBA M3. To me 15" is just right. The 14" MBP is too small and the 16" a little to big. Cost is roughly 2k, 3k or 4k respectively. I can afford the extra cash if it would really offer me a lot more performance for my workflow. I do a lot of panorama merging and some HDP Panorama merging. That is my current bottleneck on my older machines. Takes a long time to build previews between Spherical, Cylindrical and Persp

The new version of Lightroom Classic is slow and badly broken. I recommend NOT upgrading to it yet. This is running on macOS 11.0.1. It shows wrong data (e.g. a 1 star on an image in the develop module where there is none in the loope. It refuses to edit some things with the spot removal tool. It looses brush strokes using the adjustment brush. It sometimes shows a different edited state of an image between the loope and the develop module. Basically, I can't trust it for serious work at this time. Even panning or zooming is slower than it used to be. I even changed the preferences from Auto use of the GPU to always using it. It tells me full graphics acceleration is enabled. These are just some flaws that come to mind. I am not trying to do formal testing. This release is, at best, Beta quality.

Why is Lightroom creating a jpg with my dng on import?I noticed today that I have a jpg with my dng in it's folder. If that comes from a preview of some sort, that is fine. However, I have jpgs dating back to 10-22-24 still there. And I definitely don't need those previews anymore. Am I missing something?

Quando vado a esportare le foto dal catalogo lightroom mi appare questa frase "Non vi è nessuna foto sottoposta a rendering su disco" e non mi fa esportare nulla, nessuna foto di nessun catalogo, anche cambiando l'estensione (tiff, jpeg ecc). Sapete come mai? Lavoro con Windows 10

LrC 14.1 Camera Raw 17.1Raw File from Sony. Import converted to DNG. I did several adjustments to the picture.Have 3 Masks And in the Development screen I see such yellow blocks in that picture. They are not visible in the Catalog View. But if I export the picture, I get them at another place. What is they? How to get them away!

Hallo, ich habe einen Mac mit Sequoia 15.2, Lightroom Classic 14.1 und Camera RAW 17.1.  Ich musste gerade feststellen, dass die KI Funktion "Entrauschen" nicht funktioniert. Sie lässt sich anklicken, ist also nicht ausgegraut, hat aber keine Funktion (es passiert nichts).  Manuelle Einstellungen (Luminanz, Details, Kontraste....) lassen sich durchführen. Weiß jemand wo hier der Fehler liegt? Besten Dank. Gruß Harald

Hallo zusammen, ich habe sein einige Tagen das Problem, dass die KI-Entfernung bei den entsprechenden Bildern (z.B. nach Wechsel in die Bibliothek) immer wieder aktualisiert werden müssen. Das nervt sehr und hält total auf, ausserdem verballer ich enorm Credits für jedes Aktualisieren.Hat jemand das auch bzw. eine Lösung, der Support hat bisher keine Lösung?

the short of it:  Is there a way to save snapshots (develop settings for a particular photo) to a selection of images instead of just one?  the long of it:  Snapshots is a great feature that lets me save a “snapshot” of my develop settings at that time for a photo. I use it compare edits I make to an image, for b/w versions, varied crops, and many other uses.  In particular it’s saved me more than once when the develop settings for a photo will reset without explanation. I don’t know what causes it and Undo feature skips undoing the reset develop settings so it strikes me as a bug. (May be my PaletteGear editing knobs that might be the cause.) Thankfully it’s rare but it does happen, probably a dozen times this year, and can be a big problem to have those settings cleared for some images, leaving me with only the flattened exported JPEGs that I'll never be able to preceisly match in LR again.  This is the first main reason I’d love the

Hello,   I have had this issue since a while now - I'm trying to zoom into an image to edit details, sometimes, it works flawlessly, sometimes I can press Ctrl-Space till I'm blue in the face, nothing happes, the too doesn't switch, LR (not the system) appears frozen for a couple of seconds. All I can do is wait until it zooms into some arbitrary location.   Is this because full size previews have not been creted? I always used to have that on, I just looked into the catalogue settings & prefereces and couldn't find anything on fiull size previews except on how long to keep them.Edit: I just tried zooming out of the next image I clicked on (was automatically zoomed to 100% after being at 100% on the last image) and it took 5-6 seconds to react.  Zooming back in took close to 3 seconds. Latest version of LR (14.1), Win 10, Quadro M5000 on Auto, 128 GB RAM, all M2 key SSDs   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
