This is my last and final plea to Adobe to fix Lightroom Classic CC performance.I spent a considerable amount of money upgrading primary desktop computer in an effort to alleviate performance problems with my software stack, and the ONLY one that does not measure up is Lightroom Classic CC.  DaVinci Resolve renders clips in about 10% of the time that it used to... yet Lightroom performance has not improved at all.  In fact, with the latest version, it's gotten worse:  It is absolutely insane that I have to restart Lightroom 16 times in a single day of photo editing (like I did TODAY).  Have a look at my system if you think I'm being unreasonable.  Intel i9-7980XE Extreme Edition Processor, 64 GB RAM.  Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, m.2 disk, etc.Last chance, Adobe.  If you don't fix this by the time my current contract expires, then I'm out.  I will not tolerate this nonsense any longer.-----Below is my system information as captured by Lightroom:Lightroom

When i try to import files, nothing happends. Even importing one picture doesnt work, from my usual camera.   I tried: - optimizing catalog - increasing cache from 5gb to 10gb - purging cache   Lightroom Classic       [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. Please help. I made a rookie mistake while using Lightroom Classic 13.1.I spent hours going through a bunch of photos and rating them to decide which ones i will be editing.I then watched a tutorial on how to import DNG files that I purcahsed so that I can make presets from them. I assumed this would be the same as importing regular .xmp files for presets. What I didnt know is that you need to start with a fresh new empty catalogue to import DNG files or it will overwrite your progress on the current catalog that I was working on before I chose "Import Photos and Video...." Now my catalog is nothing but the DNG's that were imported to create presets from and not the hundreds of photos that I spent hours going through. Is there a way to get my work back that I spent so much time on or is it overwritten forever? If my work is lost, I really wish it wasnt so easy to lose hours worth of work in Lightroom.

I have 2 photos that I want to merge.  The first screen shot shows the 2 selected.  The one visible in the preview had exposure edits made using Masks.  When I merge the 2 images, however, the merged file shows that photo without the exposure lightening.  See 2nd screensshot.  Why doesn't it reflect these changes?  Thanks.   

I am confused with the Print module in Lightroom Classic. I want to create a template to print two selected images as 5 X 7 on an 8.5 X 11 paper. I there a monual or instructions on how to do this?

I am having trouble recovering images deleted from Lightroom Classic. All the recovery info I can find seems to pertain to Lr for mobile, etc. Can anyone help?

I'm considering moving from PC to a Mac Mini 2018 w/ i7, 16GB Ram.  Has anyone else tried this setup and how well does Lightroom and Photoshop run on it?

Hello everyoneI can create a mask and apply an adjustment to that area. When I add to that same mask, and make another adjustment, the 2nd adjustment is applied only to the area I added, not the entire mask. How to I get both parts of that mask to adjust together? Thanks for any tips!John

When i went into lightroom classic today recently edited photo files are gone. Nothing available past January of this year. When i open Lightroom they are there but not edited. How do I find all my photos.

I have only just encountered this problem so I am not sure when it started. In the past export presets remembered the location set in the preset.  This no longer works. Please fix, or am I doing something wrong? Anyone else noticed this?

Hello, I have a strange behavior with Lightroom Classic and Lens Correction. If I click 'Default' the correct profile loads,  but if I change the distrotion or vignetting slider another incorrect lens profile is loaded. So I'm not able to use the correct lens profile.  Anybody can help?Running on LrC 13.5Macbook Pro M1 MacOS 14.5

Issue: In the slideshow module, add a text overlay. The font is selectable within the system's installed fonts. Lightroom keeps popping the "copy settings" window when I try to crop the picture, how to solve it? Thank you!

I have fully callibrated both my monitors and am using sRGB color space when exporting. When I open the file after export, my photo looks perfect. However when I send the file via Apple's Messenger my photos aquire a red tone to them.  Please help.

Hello community. I need help with transitioning my LrC from one computer to another. Since on the old one there was a bit of a mess, I want to use this as a fresh start with a clean an stringent folder structure on a new external SSD   Setup:Old computer: iMac 3,1 GHz Intel Core i5 Lightroom Classic 9.4 no support for Canons RAW .cr3 format Files saved all over the place on multiple external HDs   New computer: Macbook Pro 2,8 Ghz Intel Core i7 Lightroom Classic 12.5.1 one new big external SSD as designated storage space   Question: How can I export the files (including the edits that were made on the files) to the new computer. Since the RAW files are stored on the new SSD - how would you handle the exported final JPEGs?

I previously was working with an older version where this never happened, and have noticed this with the last several versions: Upon import and sync (or exporting a file with import to catalog checked), Lightroom keeps jumping away from the folder I am currently working to the location where new files are being imported.It does this while I’m trying to do another activity and it is extremely frustrating.Now in the latest version it even does this while I am in a catalog – it jumps away from the catalog and into the directory that the new file is being imported. Is there some way to stop this?

I have attemped the previous solutions posted in 2023. I do not have the "metrics.json" folder and have shut off the desktop app usage as dicusses in the previous posts.    Are there any other solutions that will solve this?   Thanks! On MacOS 14.6.1, M1 MacBook Pro 16 inch, using an Apple Studio Display as the main Lightroom window.   Since I installed the latest Lightroom update, Secondary Window behavior has been very flaky. It keeps showing the secondary window on the Studio display, on top of the main application window. And sometimes switches the main window to the Macbook Pro screen. And when I do get the secondary display working on the Macbook pro screen, it sometimes has it too large, at Studio Display size so it gets cut off.   Is anybody else seeing this? Any way to fix it? Is it at least a known issue that Adobe is working on? This arrangement has been working perfectly for years before this.

I've just discovered that the Whites slider doesn't behave the way I have always thought it behaved, and as an LR user since 2006, and a frequent user of Whites since it was introduced, I'm wondering whether it has always been this way and whether this is the intended behavior. Here's a short timelapse video illustrating the problem. Note how the sky is suddenly darker in a few frames. Note also that the darker frames are the ones with light in the foreground (which is caused primarily by people in the foreground using red flashlights).These were shot on a Nikon D850 using the built-in intervalometer (13 second exposure every 15 seconds), in manual mode (and manual everything) with Active D-Lighting disabled. They were then all processed identically in Lightroom Classic (using manual adjustments, no auto anything). Hello, everyone. Starting with version 13.3, when creating a 1:1 preview, Lightroom started to do it several times slower, and with large volumes, it starts to annoy you when you create only previews all day. Let me know if anyone else has noticed this!

M2 MacBook Air, Sonoma 14.6.1LRC 13.5, running on MacBook Air.Current setup: all photos and videos are stored on the internal drive and are managed in a single catalog, also resident on the internal drive. Current file structure:Desktop  Photographs    Each year is a separate folder  Videos    Each year is a separate folderDesired end state: split the catalog into two pieces: 1: all photos and appropriate catalog are on internal drive. 2: All videos and appropriate catalog are on external drive.Looking for step by step directions, if possible.Thanks!

Buenas tardes,   Sin realizar ninguna edición, solamente haciendo tareas de ordenación, etiquetado de fotos y sincronización con la NUBE, provoca que LrC consuma el 99% de la memoria RAM (monitor del sistema), siendo imposible realizar tarea alguna en LrC y dejando el ordenador bloqueado.   He estado buscando por toda la WEB y he ido anotando las indicaciones que se comentaban en distintos sitios acerca del consumo excesivo de RAM. Realizando dichos pasos, tengo mi sistema como sigue: - Lightroom Classic actualizado a su versión 13.5. El catálogo está en un SSD (1TB) dedicado con 840GB de espacio libre. - La caché de Camera RAW, está en otro disco dedicado, con un tamaño máximo de 150GB. - La memoria RAM de mi sistema es de 64GB. - Tengo habilitada la aceleración de GPU, en modo AUTO. - Sistema operativo Windows 11 Pro 23H2, instalado el 2024/06/01 y totalmente actualizado, en dos SSD de 2TB cada uno (montados en espejo) y disponen de 700GB de espacio libre. - Procesador
