Dear reader of this discussion.I have a new hard disk. And I copied all my original raw pictures from my old hard disk to the new one.The catologus contains all the work, processing , ameliorations of the original pictures on the old place , hard disk.How can I arrange that the good processing of this pictures (the catalogus) is going to / are joined with the (same) pictures on the new hard disk?Greetings, Eddy

So I probably did a dumb thing, but I was about to import when I got a message to update my lightroom version 13.3 (I think).  Then I got this message about my catalogue being compressed.  It didn't give me an option and so I accepted.  It might as well have said "I am here to fu..k you up"  Anyway, I now have every thumbnail with something weird on it, like Br,   or 1 or a picture of a something like a printer (which I didn't take) all weird stuff.  Anyone know what the hell happened.

After newest version of Lightroom Classic upgraded my catalog, I'm now missing 12 folders from my library. These folders represent 15000 images and 6 weeks work processing and removing unwanted images from the folders and catalog to around 900 images. This is to say the least disheartening. If anyone has an idea on how I can locate and restore these folders it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi friends, I've gone through all forums looking for an answer and I can't find any solution, so I apologize if I am being reduntant by asking this question again.I spent hours editing images in Lightroom thinking I could just export JPGs but the exported images are coming out flat and dull. Basically the bright whites are not being saved.   • I am exporting in sRGB. Also tried other profiles like Display P3, Adobe RGB, Prophoto RGB• My monitor is set to the right settings. I am a graphic designer and use my machine daily for creative work.• I tried toggling off User Graphic Processor. It makes things look flat in Lightroom (just like the exported JPGs) but not sure what to do with this information. • I have cleared my Lightroom cache• I tried opening in Photoshop either from Lightroom or by opening the DNG and its still looking flat.  I am in urgent need of these photos so my only solution at the moment is to screenshot the edited images from Lightro

I updated to latest Lr.  Now, after I rate images in Library, then move to Develop to process them, after editing random number of images, the Develop module frequently "forgets" the smaller group of attributed/rated images, and instead shows all images in the filmstrip, forcing me to continuously go back to Library to again filter by atttribute to get the sublist of images, then return to Develop module.

I selected 20-30 raw files and apply a batch enhancement. I did select the creat stack checkbox. However, once the enhancement is completed, none of the images have stacks in the develop module. I can see the enhanced .dng files in the directory. But they are not in LR somehow. If i hit denoise again - LR will create second .dng on disk, that also invisible in catalog.  If I try to import that created .dng manualy, it shows as "half transparent" (like for other files that already imported) and its timpossible to import that .dng. I edited a lot of images before and it works well, so likely its not about disk permissions or gpu settings (I setted gpu auto, off, manual and get same result) I have latestslr 14.0.1and mac os 15.0.1 (m1) but I found the same issue on rediit that was posted 1y ago please, help to fix

I just "upgraded" my LR Classic and now there is no Fujifilm profiles to be found in the Calibration tab. Did Adobe get rid of camera profiles when they decided to give us these new, mediocre profiles? Nothing can replace Fujifilms profiles. Is there for Adobe to put it back in? Is there something I can do to re-enable the profiles? If not I have to figure out how to roll back my update...

Lightroom was crawling. Got a brand new macbook pro. Did well the frist few weeks..now its crawling again. I can't work like this, my work flow is dragggging because of it!    Mac m3 max chip, 36 gig, more than enough hardware to compensate, as I got top of the line. Computer and application are both up to date. What can possibly be happening!? Thank you!

My image file sizes are much smaller after editing and exporting through Lightroom. Is it impossible to maintain original file size to preserve image quality? Will this smaller file size have negative impact on prints? Any help is appreciated!

Every time I use the Crop overlay tool when I press "R" it shows the last cropped photo for a second before showing the actual photo you are working on. Very annoying when you work with hundreds of photos. This just started happening after the last upgrade I did yesterday.Is someone experiencing the same? Is there a way to fix it?I tried restarting, optimizing the catalog, nothing seems to work.

Buenos días!Tengo un problema al sincronizar fotografías de 2 cámaras diferentes.  Las fotos ya están bien puestas en cuanto a la hora a la que están realizadas pero lightroom no me está ordenando por hora de captura. Me  aparecen primero las fotos hechas con una cámara y luego todas las realizadas con la otra cámara.Ya he sincronizado cámaras otras veces y nunca me había pasado ésto. Gracias

Hi, I'd like to batch rearrange a whole photo library. My photos are in date folders as created by LR on import. Most are in collection folders corresponding to events (no photo is in multiple event collections). I'd like to rearrange photos on disk with folders corresponding to event collections, with unsorted photos in special "unsorted" folders. How can I do ? I guess I'll have to use one or multiple plugins. I'd be grateful to get a practical help, without comments such as "why would you do that" which I didin't develop here to keep my post as short as possible. Trust me, my request makes sense. 

Hallo!Ich habe auf meinem MacBook Air M2 meine Fotosammlung mit rund 30.000 Fotos erfolgreich von ACDSee auf LrC migriert. Mit einigen Stapelverarbeitungen in ACDSee konnte ich auch die Stichwörter in LrC übernehmen. Nun habe ich eine hierarchische Stichwörter-Struktur in LrC eingerichtet. Nach dem Muster:   Orte      Italien         Sardinien Die Erfassung der Stichwörter in den verschiedenen Optionen ist klar. Was ich jedoch noch nicht lösen konnte:Die Stichwörter können auch über die kleinen Kästchen links im hierarchischen Stichwort-Baum zugewiesen werden. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, automatisch die übergeordneten Stichwörter zuzuweisen? z.B. durch Zuweisen von Sardinien werden automatisch auch die übergeordneten Ebenen Italien und Orte zugewiesen?Derzeit muss ich alle Ebenen manuell zuweisen. In ACDSee gab es hierfür eine eigene Option. Danke und Lg, Peter. 

Hi guysThank you for reading my post.I'm using LR Classic V: 14.0.1When I hit F on my keyboard to view an image in full screen view...I get a black screen. The metadata for the image appears breifly but nothing else just a black screen.If I close LR and re-open everything is normal ? But the black screen re appears again some time later.Is this a bug ? Or have I caught something in error ?Anyone else see this ? 

Last two versions if I process an image in Photoshop, save and close it, the Library view preview updates, but the Develop preview is the same. Have to exit and come back in to LRC for an update.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

Hi, I'm trying to send a photo I have edited in LR (desktop Mac) and send it in email. I can only see (so far) that I can export to another drive / location or maybe send a link.(I don't want to do those. Too complicated for whoever I'm sending the photo to.)  But I just want to email the actual photo. (I know how to do this from LR Mobile). This should be easy, but it I'm not seeing how to do it nor have I found anything on Google showing how to do this. (Sending a photo via email.)..  Thank you!

Hey there, I have an inconsistent error when merging images into a panorama, sometimes the tool works fine and as expected but on occasion it will run the merge without giving me the option box first so it just fires out a new merged image often giving me a panorama that i am unhappy with. IE I have been unable to select the creation type (spherical, perspective etc) and adjust options like fill edges or the boundary warp etc. I find when this happens, no matter how often i try run the merge panorama tool it will just fire the image out without the options, then i will try again another day and it will work just fine. Hi folks, My system has been getting slower and slower over the past 3 weeks and just today my editing slowed to a crawl. I am masking using brush tool and have to wait 10-15 seconds for changes to show up on the screen. Additionally, the cursor gets hung on the brush tool so I can't move sliders until it has finished logging the brushstrokes. Laptop works fine for all other programs. I added a Wacom Cintiq to my system about a month ago but other than that have made no changes that I am aware of. What I have tried:optimize catalogue set to happen every time I quit LRcache size increased to 50GB"synch with LR" is pausedauto-write to XMP is offlaptop scanned for viruses and nothing else is running slowstarting and restarting both laptop and LR Thanks for any suggestions! System details: 2x32 GB Ram2x4TB SSD - operating system and program files on one, images stored on the other.NVidia (R) GeForce(R) RTX (TM) 4070 with 8GB GDDR6Lightroom Classic version: 13.

Hi, I have perhaps 300 photo shoots per year, which I import with Lightroom to my laptop hard disk into date (year-month-day) specific folders. Each session could amount to 300-400 photos, out of which I edit perhaps 30 in Photoshop. From these edited photos (.PSD) I assemble some collections for different purposes across the days and months. Due to the nature of my edits the PSDs become very large, quite often between 1 and 2 GB in size. I therefore once in a while need to export edited images to JPG and delete original RAWs and PSDs. I store my edited JPGs in a different archive folder in the same catalog, parallell with the yearly top level folders, "Archive" and then sub folders for each year. The question is how I could "re-create" or mirror the collection structure for those images I export and archive? Ideally I would like to replace all images (PSDs) in a collection with their JPG counterparts when exporting the JPGs to the archive folder. After which I could pro

I updated LrC to 12.4 yesyerday. Since then a number of pixels in multiple colors appear appear quite often on the image, mostly in the areas of blacks/darks and when using Tone Curve commands. It's similar to the red/blue pixels which denoted clipping in the areas of blacks/whites, but they appear in very many different other colors. Sometimes they disappear, or decrease, after actioning the commands again, sometimes they do not. Is anybody else facing the same problem which I encounter now for the vey first time after many years of use of LrC? Thank you in advance for your advise.

Okay, so I'm using Lightroom Classic 10.3 on Windows. I've had ~16k images properly synced to the cloud. When I tried to add some new ones, they got stuck syncing forever and would never succeed. I tried what I've seen on various posts: - Delete the Sync.lrdata folder- Recover the Catalog from backup- Rebuild the Sync Data (Preferences, hold down alt)- Delete all images from the cloud via Lightroom CC (they're all gone, I'm at 0 images on the cloud)- Delete all synced collections from Lightroom Classic Essentially, I've resigned myself to start over with zero images on the cloud to then reupload everything. However, even with ZERO images on the cloud, I am still stuck with 80 images syncing and no sync activity in Lightroom Classic. How can I fix this? I just want to upload my photos again. For kicks I just tried to create a new collection and add a photo. The counter in the cloud menu recognizes this and increments the count from 80 to 81, but it also just sits the

Bonjour,Je rencontre un problème quand j'ouvre mon catalogue il n'affiche plus le nombre de photos devant le dossier ni les les couleurs si il y en avait.Les photos apparaissent pourtant dans le module bibliothèque mais quand je passe sur le module développement l'image n'apparaît pas.Je suis obligé d'attendre environ 30min à 1h pour que le nombre de photos apparaissent mais les photos ne s'affichent toujours pas dans le module bibliothèque.Que faire ?J'ai supprimé tout les fichiers pour garder que le lrcat et lrcat data, j'ai ensuite recréé touts les aperçus.Ca a fonctionné correctement 1 ou 2 jours et le problème est revenu. Je suis perdu que faire mon catalogue contient 47000 photos.

Is there any way to turn off "maximize compatibility" when using the SDK to render an image?  I created a plugin that renders image as part of generating panormas with PtGui, and since the latest update (14.0 or 14.0.1), TIFFs rendered through an LrExportSession created programmatically have changed to behave like "maximize compatibility" is turned on, which breaks (see my other post).  I have inspected the exportSettings of manual exports with and without "maximize compatibility" turned on, and I cannot find any property that changes. Is this a known issue? Anyone know of any potential workarounds?

The denoise function in LRC14 is way too slow. In fact useless to me. I have to use Topaz for fast and better results.
