When I import images from my GoPro camera (for diving), the 'Date Time Digitized' is showing outdated dates, while the 'Date Time Original' and 'Date Time' are correct. Why is this happening? The metadata from the GoPro contains the following information:"FileModifyDate": "2024:09:10 21:37:21+02:00","FileAccessDate": "2024:09:10 23:15:06+02:00","FileCreateDate": "2024:09:10 23:15:05+02:00","ModifyDate": "2024:09:10 21:37:20","DateTimeOriginal": "2024:09:10 21:37:20","CreateDate": "2024:09:10 21:37:20",Upon importing into Lightroom, I received the following dates:Date Time Original 2024-09-10 21:37:20Date Time Digitized 2016-03-25 15:55:23 <<<<---- ????Date Time 2024-09-11 15:06:08
Hallo zusammen.
LR Classic 11.3.1 and PS 23.3.2 are installed and functioning normally on 16" M1 Max with 64GB memory running Montery 12.3.1, but I cannot get the plugin to work. I cannot use "edit in" to move a file to PS, I have to drop the image into the app in the dock and then it opens without my LR adjustments. When done I save the flattened file but it only occasionally shows up in LR and when it does it may or may not have the edits from the trip to PS. Synching the folder sometimes helps but the when the image does arrive in LR there is a warning that two different programs have rewritten the EXIF data.I have an intense workflow and I absolutely have to be able to rely on these apps doing what they are supposed to do. I am losing images (as an extreme macro photographer, one image may have taken me 4-8 hours to make) and that needs to stop. I have reset all preferences, emptied caches, removed and reinstalled both apps, tried to install plugin and keep getting "an error occured trying to load
I have a series of portraits that I want to crop all to the same proportion so they can be seen 'yearbook style' side by side. How do I do this correctly?
Issue: Suddenly, the Keywords list is organized hiearchically, under "" Empty keywords. About 4 or 5 sections of these. Most of my keywords are in the first section. After this happened to my large Lightroom library of about 419,000 images, I started over with a new library and imported all my photos again. And then it happened again.Steps to reproduce: Created a new databaseReimported all my photos (took 3 days on my Intel I9 Windows Pro machine, all my photos on fast external US?B 3.2 SSDs)Everything was fine.Continued to work on existing photos, mainly cleanup, resync some folders, delete some TIFs and PSDs to make space after exporting those to JPGs in the same folder.Expected result: Clean flat list of keywordsActual result: After using the database for 3 days, suddenly, my entire flat keyword list is hierarchical again under "" empty keywords. Filtering for keywords finds nothing. Versions:Windows 11 Pro Ver 23H2Lightroom Classic Ver
LrC Version: Lightroom Classic version: 13.5.1 [ 202408271704-d15d09cd ]OS: MacOS Version 14.6.1 (23G93) Issue: When using the Copy/Paste, Sync, or Preset features to copy and paste a vertical transform from a horizontally-cropped photo to a vertically-cropped photo, the vertical transform becomes a horizontal transform. Hello All, thank you in advance for your help. I am running an M1 MBP with Sonoma 14.6.1 and Lightroom Classic 13.5.1. I am storing photos on a portable SSD where I have created 5 folders, each of which have a few subfolders in them with pictures. I have also mimicked this setup with collections and collection sets to mirror the folder structure on the SSD. On my SSD, I have a subfolder named "Avery Swimming" under the sports folder, but when I am in Lightroom Classic and go to folders and select the SSD, the "Avery Swimming" folder is greyed out and contains no photos even though there are actually 60 or so photos in that folder. How do I get these to be recognized and show? Thank you in advance,
Hi, This might be a stupid question but is there a way to keep the same area zoomed in when switching images instead of jumping around? I know if you are moving to an image you haven't zoomed in on before that will work, but if you have it doesn't.TKS! Ventura 13.6.9LR 13.5
Lightroom Classic becomes unresponsive when using Photo>Enhance or new Denoise functions. The enhance box pops-up, the green processing band progresses across, then the progress box disappears and the image preview panel never pops-up. Further, LrC then becomes completely unresponsive - nothing can be clicked or selected. The program must be shut down in Task Manager and then restarted. This seemed to work fine until Denoise was used a few times. Issue appeared within the past week. I have deactivated GPU with no affect.
I am attempting to adjust the temperature and tint for a large number of images using photo:getDevelopSettings() but I am running into the bug mentioned here (and other places) where the temperature and tint = nil. I'm not sure when this bug is going to be resolved so instead I am attempting to use quickDevelopAdjustWhiteBalance. However, I cannot figure out how to produce a consistent value from the amount setting in photo:quickDevelopAdjustWhiteBalance( settingName, amount ) For example, this photo:quickDevelopAdjustWhiteBalance( "Temperature", 1 ) produces various values depending on the current temperature value of the image. At current temperature of 2000, it produces a result of +14At current temperature of 3000, it produces a result of +17At current temperature of 4000 it produces a result of +43 Could anyone help make sense of the calculation to produce a consistent value? For example, +100 every time.
Hi All, I have the Canon R5 and use a Macbook Pro 2020 model. I am having trouble seeing clear previews in Lightroom Classic in the import dialogue box. The previews are extremely low quality even in the thumbnail version. I mainly shoot wildlife, so need to be able to see good quality in focus previews as it is a huge pain to go through and delete hundreds of pics after importing my whole CF card. I have updated my lightroom to the recently released update that supposedly provides for support for new cameras. When importing I connect the R5 directly to the computer through the USB type C connections.. I have spent hours chatting to the Adobe support team who even remotely changed settings to see if it would work but still nothing. Examples of images below. After importing the photos are perfect.7DMKii used to show clean previews... PLEASE HELP...
Hello, my friends,I hope you're all doing well.I'd like to ask for your help.I have Lightroom Classic version 13.5.1, and I've been using the program since 2012 in its various versions without any problems.Currently, I have a catalog with 100,000 photos stored on an 8TB hard drive, which I handle with the utmost care (I also have a cloud backup).I've been facing an issue where Lightroom keeps closing constantly; it doesn't stay open for more than a few minutes. It shuts down out of nowhere, usually during photo imports.I've tried creating a new catalog and resetting all Lightroom settings, but the problem persists. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the software. I used DDU to remove my GPU drivers and reinstalled them, and finally did a clean installation.I've increased the cache size, etc., etc...Nothing seems to keep it open for very long.My machine's specifications are listed below. Has anyone experienced something like this or have a solution? CPU : 14th Gen Intel Core i9-
I am trying to instal Lightroom 6 on a third computer. I have uninstalled it from one of the others and signed out on the second and my Adobe account says I have no activated devices. However when I try and activate it on the new machine I can't get past the licence agreement screen. I click on Yes to accept, the window closes and nothing. Has anyone had this problem.
I recently upgraded to an M3 Macbook Pro and moved my Lightroom catalog over (LR Classic 13.5.1). Everything works fine, but the videos won't preview or play. The video files are all fine, and I can play them in Finder. After trying everything from reinstalling lightroom to deleting caches and preview files and plugins to ensuring that Lightroom has full disk access, I came across a post somewhere that downgrading to LR Classic 13.1 and loaded an old catalog and the videos work perfectly. I would stay on 13.1, but the old catalog doesn't have the last three months of my photos. This appears to be a bug.
I get the error message:Error performing function. Unable to complete the action. Headers: { [error] => { [error Code] => "timed Out" [name] => "The request has expired." [native Code] => -1001 }} What does this mean?

I’m experiencing a performance issue with Adobe Lightroom Classic. All of my photos (over 150k) are stored in network folders, organized by year, month, and date. When I try to view photos by faces, all the face boxes initially appear grey. After waiting 2 or 3 seconds, the boxes are filled with the corresponding faces. However, most of the time, when I scroll up or down, it takes more than 5 seconds for the boxes to load. Additionally, sometimes the faces aren’t displayed unless I hover the mouse over the grey boxes. Is there any way to improve performance in these cases?Thank you for your assistance.
I have a new mechanical HD (not SD). It came formatted as APFS. Will Lightroom work better if I reformat it as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)? That's how my previous HD was formatted. Or is another format prefereable?

I wanted to add to the number of posts about the catalog update causing LRC to crawl and make it basically unusable from a work standpoint. Basically any button or mouse click within the active screen (minus the top menus) has a delayed response. Right click on an image, menu pop up delayed.. in some cases minutes before it pops up Rating, as I rate photos the star is not displayed like usual.. in some cases take minutes Quick edits in the library module, same as above Sync edits, same as above Pretty much everything is crawling. With cloud sync on I can see LRC is running about 15%-20%. When I pause it it stops the behind the scenes running and it gets a little more responsive but still delayed. I re-synced my LR collections and they all uploaded but the issue remains.. LRC shows it is always syncing 2 or so photos constantly. I let it run multiple times over night, no fix. I upgraded from 13.3 Made sure m
I updated the other day, and moving from one picture to the next is unbelievably slow. Takes a good 20+ seconds. The catalog is no bigger than my usual and very little editing. I tried optimizing the catalog, that makes no difference. Anyone else have the problem or found a fix? Apple M1 Pro, macOS 13.5, 32 GB RAM
