Hello, i have problems with the import-dialog. When i go to "File > Import Photos and Video..." it takes about 1 minute until the dialog is completely open. It takes also about 10 seconds or for every klick when i browser to the directory containing the photos i want to import. Its like the import dialog freeze for some seconds and react very slow.Once i selected the right directory, it seems to work correct, because the time to generate the previews and the time for importing the photos is not so bad.Anyone has a idea what can be the problem?I have installed the latest nvidia driver (not the studio driver, because is not compatible with my rtx a4000 graphic card) and i disconnect all usb-sticks or SD-card from PC - but it did not help. Hi. Following an attempt to free up space on my hard drive, I used a clean up software. Since then I am unable to get Lightroom to launch or open any of my backups! I have managed to create a new catalogue which seems to work fine but it will not let me import any of the old catalogues (25,000 images). Can anyone help?
So I just logged into my lightroom on a computer I haven't used for a while and whilst I saw my folder with 1700 images, it wouldn't let me access (I had an email in July saying my subscription was being renewed). So I clicked to start the free 7 day trial because I just wanted to get in and work out what I was doing with my subscriptions, and there's now 0 images in the archive, and none in my cloud storage either. My account name hasn't changed and it doesn't show my subscription, only the new free trial. It seems this as happened to a few people but all quite different scenarios. All suggestions very welcome thank-you.
Hello everyone,I’m writing this message in case it can be of help, as in my case it has made a radical change. I think I’ve read all the threads about poor LC performance, as I have a quite powerful PC (Ryzen 9, lots of RAM, SSD drives, decent graphics card) and yet, LC was driving me crazy with its lack of smoothness (in module changes, when moving from one image to another, in creating or editing masks, in using the brush with the Wacom tablet…). I tried everything, to no avail, and I even installed the trial version of Capture One (which, by the way, was much more agile than Lightroom).Well, yesterday the Logitech MX Ergo mouse broke down and I replaced it with a cheap, optical, wired one that was around the house… And it’s been incredible! For some reason, the wireless MX Ergo (I hadn’t used another with my PC) interfered with Lightroom and made everything very slow. Removing it has impressively increased LC’s performance. Yesterday I thoroughly enjoyed editing photos, retouching m
galera , meu pincel do lightroom nao funciona, nao atera nada que faço na marcacao , alguem me ajuda?mac m2
I mark all the RAW files that I export as JPEG. Now, I'd like to export only these marked RAWs and their edits to a backup medium. The result should be a folder, containing only those marked RAWs and a Lightroom catalogue with the edits that I did to them. I seem to be unable to come up with an easy way of doing this. Thanks for any hints
Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1, Lightroom Classic 13.5.1, I've noticed recently that my Mac display won't turn off after specified inactivity timeout in display sleep settings. The issue is intermittent but pretty frequent. I would walk up to my mac after an hour and the display would still be on. I've checked the system power settings many times, should sleep after 5 minutes. My Lightroom Classic does have the option to prevent system sleep while syncing ON. However, that should not keep the display on! pmset -g reports that Lightroom Classic is keeping THE DISPLAY on for some reason. Seems like a bug to me. Please see attached screenshot [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
While in the Library, when selecting photos, if I click the arrow to move to the next photo, sometimes the 'held button' effect appears, and it skips forward by several dozen photos. Of course, the button isn’t actually being held down. I’ve also tested switching photos using other buttons, even those on the mouse. Unfortunately, it's not a keyboard/mouse issue, but rather a Lightroom problem. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I've never experienced this before, and it’s been happening for about a week now. If it helps, both my mouse and keyboard are from Razer.I have the latest version of Lightroom Classic.
Why LrC dont denoise Fujifilm X10 .RAF files?
Is it possible to set the colorprofile of 20 photo's in one click after imported them?Or is it just one by one?
It would be great if the Lightroom catalog would auto update/synchronize when a new file was added to a folder in the catalog instead of having to do it manually everytime you save a new photo to a folder in the catalog. This was one of the great features in the old iView Media Pro. I would think it simple to do?
Hi everyone, I've been a Lightroom Classic user for many, many years. Never had this issue on this machine (Mac M1 Max, 64 GB RAM). LRC was always buttery smooth. Recently however I made a few changes:- I got a Synology NAS for my photos (almost 17 TB) connected via ethernet (1 Gbps)- I merged two catalogs I had (previously I'd load them individually to work on the photos)- I created 1:1 previews for a huge percentage of my catalog (the previews folder alone is ~4 TB in size) I don't know which one of these changes is the culprit, but suddenly I can't do ANYTHING in LRC without getting the endless beachball of death. Touch a slider? Beachball. Zoom into a photo? Beachball. Even "I" (info overlay) has a huge lag. In short, it's completely unusable. Obviously I've rebooted and shut down every other app and only have LRC loaded, and still, same problem. Please help... thank you.
I have Lightroom 13.5.1, Windows 11, 16GB Ram, Core i7 processor. Lightroom regularly crashes. It seems to be when I'm not editing. For example, editing collections, keywords and metadata, and selecting photos to import. So basically in the Library mode. This has happened for a month or two now in different versions of Lightroom so its not a problem with the latest release. I attached the system info text.
My Lightroom Classic after the 13.5.1 update now has it where when I use the removal tool or heal, it does the change but won't apply it or save. What the heck? Suggestion?? Why won't it work anymore? Thanksno save or apply button above
I just imported all my photos into LR 4 and would like to delete them from my phone. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks
As the subject suggests, I have no success in masking subject in LrC. I tried this with many other photos I've taken before and results are all the same. However, when I tried opening the same photo in Photoshop, the subject can be selected properly. So now I wonder what could be the difference in setting between the two, if there's any. Help is greatly appreciated! Greetings, I'm 85 photography/15 video using an original base model M1 Mac Mini with 16GB ram/1TB SSD, 8-core CPU/8-core GPU into an LG 5K display. This configuration has served me well and is light years better than my last 5.4K iMac. But now I'm noticing some slowdowns. For example, in LR on a large 1000+ image job (Canon R5 raw images) the preview renders in Library mode can be frustratingly slow. The thumbnails are there but they can be soft/fuzzy for 1 and up to 10 seconds before "blooming" in to sharp focus. This kills productivity during the image culling phase. Also, some of the new LR AI masking features are very slow.Perhaps I'm lacking a "setting" in preferences (camera raw cache settings or GPU setting)? Otherwise, in light of this, I'm considering a hardware upgrade if this might improve things. I'm currently looking at the M2 Pro (base 10-core CPU/16-core GPU) and the M2 Studio Max (base base 12-core CPU/30-core GPU). Most likely either one with 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD. Conf
I would like to subscribe to Lightroom Classic for $10/month. Unfortunately, when I go to buy, the only option is to get LR Classic AND Photoshop for $20/month.Is there a way to just get LR Classic? Thanks, Cliff
This message just started up when I go to access Lightroom Classic on my computer, befor this the the vast majority of my images were coming up blank in my Library. I am looking for a more detail explaination to correct the issue or be able to contact someone for assistance.
Hi Lightroom Classic nor catalog won't lauch. In the task manager it seems like its running, but it aint. And it aint on the second screen. It only shows the name in the top of the screen, and then two files "blink" that ends with shm and wal. Tried all ideas from youtube, google etc.Tried to run it as an admin, uinstall, update products etc. Cant find a .lock file either. Can someone help?
No matter what changes in the performance I do, or the location of the where the data resides. Lightroom background process seems to freeze and time out after a period of time and then starts working for 5 mins normally, then spend 15 to 20 mins in the frozen/hung state. the foreground process/ activity isn't impacted as much. CPU and disk are not taxed. Is there anything in my computer config that might be causing this issue. Dear Community... I have a big work to do.... but Lightroom isn't working anymore stable. Every 1-10 minutes its crashing without a report! Just while I m switching to the next photo (in edit mode), changing the stars of a photo...or just scrolling through. What the heck is going on?! I have just made more space on my catalog SSD, optimized the catalog and now this... :'(... I have also updated now to the newest LRCC Version - but its still crashing. My System: Windows 10 AMD 5900X, AMD 6700XT with 24.4.1 (I know its not the latest, but I hadn't problems with LR in the past and had nothing changed for the GPU etc.!) 64GB Ram I feel really really alone with this... the supportpage isn't a help, no hints to a ticket system, nothing to a crash report folder etc... really bad support options for a long year payed user. The community has to help now?! "_"
I'm working in Lightroom Classic and always name my folders after the subject of the shoot when I import. The folder names (i.e. "Bob's high school graduation") are reflected correctly on my hard drive, but the Lightroom folder structure only shows dates - no folder names. The dates are not at all useful to me, and I have to believe that there is a way to get Lightroom to show me the actual folder names. Here is the view of Lightroom showing dates for folders:But then I've noticed that Lightroom seems to know the actual folder names that I want it to show when I look to import files into the catalog, as shown in this second view below:I'm thoroughly confused. Is there some setting somewhere that I'm missing where I can tell Lightroom to show me the folder names in instead of the folder dates?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
For month now after every (!) update of LR Classic under Windows 11 the program language is set to german (the language of my OS) and I have to re-set it to English every time. Why can LR not remember such a simple settings value?
