Hello everybody,I am just having an issue with my Substance 3D Sampler. My app does not respond once I open it. Every time I open the app, it freezes and tells me "not responding" after just two seconds of opening. My device is not lagging at this time, just the app. This issue occurred with the latest version and when I tried to use a previous version, 4.1.1.ThanksKyrillos

It makes just a "photo" first  and then you have to do image to material  , right? So how can I make something not just  1x1  crasy visually  repeating thing   but rather  a texture  covering   like  4x8 meters  of a surface . A dirt road  for example ?    Are we not there yet with AI ?   Also Is content aware fill  AI powered ?     I have much better lack in Photoshop for some uncertain reason ? ps. Wish we could have those AI features in Substance Designer .       I find Sampler  very inconvenient.   My textures are always blurrier and naive looking  from my Sampler approaches vs Designer.    Tried it through several Steam releases  before  , now still same impression.

I have download the newest version of Sampler, but i still can't not see the 3D capture function in the Sampler....

This is my typical image to material (AI)  experience  vs   depth channel  generated by ortho projection export from  Reality capture put in Designer .I wonder can I use and improve the captured depth which is in fact a bit blurry and has lots of photogrammetry artifacts  to help AI do better thing.   Because in my experience  I get mostly nothing like in Sampler youtube videos  but rather hardly recognisable mess.    

I have an ortho projection tiff  with depth  done from Reality capture  . It's a photo with shadows  and a height map from photogrammetry +lidar reconstructed surface mesh.   Can I use Sampler AI somehow to    a)  get rid of shadows  including the small ones from surface details?                                                                   b)  make the height/depth  from photogrammetry  more detailed   or just  less blurry normal map ?  I mean not inventing the normal / height maps on its own but follow the existed height? Just by making less blurry normal map details from

What URLs do the sampler need access to in order to use generative AI features? We have it behind the firewall and the generative AI fails.

Hi,I am an educator and trying to make a 3D model of a small micrometeorite I shot with my microscope camera and microscope taking 20 or so different views hoping to make a 3D printed version students can see. I don't think there is any EXIF info - it is a microscope objective and microscope digital camera and focus stacked images - made from hundred of images - I added the information manually while importing and tried to submit. Got an error message nad could go no further. Is it possible to make a 3D model with focus stacked images and no EXIF info? Is there a program that would allow me to manipulate the images myself/manually - I think I could align them easily around a roughly oval shape... Anyway, thanks for any help you can provide! Thanks! I am looking forward to Adobe Sampler having the feature where one can remove light and shadow information from an image (delighting) to derive an albedo texture.  (Substance designer's AO cancellation node is a good start but does not do the job pretty well) Switchlight Studio, does this job pretty well

When will Sampler be able to import custom meshes?  Are the Devs even considering this essential feature? I am trying to create PBR textures from Photogrammetry scans in which the software only produces a diffuse image. I’d love to be able to use Sampler’s 3D scan feature but the meshes it generates are inferior to other Software and currently have  too many issues for me.  While Sampler can generate the PBR textures (Roughness, Normal, Metallic) it is very difficult to gauge how things look without being able to view them on the actual scanned object. Can anyone recommend a workflow for this?  Does Painter or Designer have the same ability to generate PBR textures from a single image?

as you can see the embroidery texture is not good and not matching, i did the same as your video and still the same problem, same problem with your file first-steps-with-substance-3d-sampler and this from your video    

Im creating materials in Substance Designer using sRGB IEC61966-2.1 color management and then tryin to use them in Sampler, but I cant seem to find any color management options in Sampler, making it pretty much useless for my work flow needs and at this point dead in the water. Am I missing something or does Sampler not have any color management?

Can someone recommend an algorithm for recreating such a texture?

Trying to use the Clone Stamp tool in Substance Sampler. I can set the sample point and then click and drag over the part I wont to clone over, but nothing happens. In every tutorial ive watched, the area you are cloning is supposed to turn lighter, indicating the cloned texture area, but thats not happening either. No idea if its bugged or I'm doing something wrong, but it seems like a pretty straight forward tool, but cant get it to work.

How to use the same generator not only for color, but also for roughness and heights for example? If I turn on roughness it affects the entire layer, not just the generator pattern.   

Hey guys, I have a custom script working for exporting tiff files. All the logic works and Im using a custom preset for converting my custom maps. The issue Im hitting right now is that it always exports every texture in the preset, regardless if it has information in it or not. So now Im trying to find a way to only export textures that have "Is Computed" set to on. I know I can update the script everytime I have a different set of textures that need to be exported but that seems silly. I've looked through the API documention for sampler and nothing stands out that appears to answer this goal. Also I have also tried to make calls to the export api that is standard in sampler export process. The idea here is maybe I can set the  active channels in that list and use that as a way of exporting what I need. I was blocked in this attempt too.Curious what you guys think and if there is a way to only export "Is Computed" channel that are on. # Import the necessary modulesimpor

Hello, I have a texture 8k x 4x which I crop to 2k and run Image to Material (AI) over it - problem is it takes ages and once it update I seen insane resolution of the output - what's going on? 

Sorry for the long post... but this is very important.Given the recent attention Adobe has been given with regard to their Terms of Service and their confusing responses - for example, telling customers "We don't trrain generative AI models o your content unless you choose to submit it to the Adobe Stock Marketplace" as quoted from the video titled Adobe Terms of Use Update, presented on Adobes youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VETOSYXL7LY. However, if you have Photoshop and have been participating in their Photoshop Improvement Program... then this is EXACTLY what Adobe claims you give them permission to do (see attached image 01).  Because without telling customers, they added an extra option and checked the box without users consent. It is titled "I give Adobe permission to use my images and associated data to train Adobe's generative AI models".  So now... like so many other people, I have major trust issues with Adobe... which brings me to my

One simple question: Are we allowed to sell the generative textures in our commerical products, like assets? I think e.g. on a room where I generate with Substance Sampler AI a titlable floor and wall texture and sell this product on a 3D asset platform that others artists can use the room incuding the textures for their work.And what is about e.g. and texture asset libary, e.g. for the Blender Asset Browser. Can we use the generative textures for those kind of stuff? (Asking this out of coursity, I'm personally only interested on the upper scenario).

Hello everyone, a quick question, is it possible to crop a 3D model afterwards? Probably too little exposure in the studio has resulted in excess material that needs to be removed.As a note, I have already made smaller models (vases) and never had a problem. Now with larger (more complicated) pieces the programme has some problems.I have inserted a screenshot, there is something at the bottom that needs to be removed. I would be happy if someone has a solution.Luca

I am working in 3D capture beta.  I had 2 questions: 1). Once I do the post processing on my model and build a version I like and click "Add to Project".  The model is now in Substance Sampler if I want to return back to 3D capture "Post Processing" is that possible or do I always have to start back over the entire 3D capture process?  2).   I have read the following: https://helpx.adobe.com/substance-3d-sampler/features-and-workflows/3d-capture.html. but I am specifically trying to get my UVs as clean as possible.  This documentation does not really explain what all of the advance setting do.  Is there more documentation on these advanced settings?  Cinema 4D remesher does a pretty good job of cleaning up the mesh and reprojecting the UVs but it would probably work better if the UV layout was refined first inside of Substance.
