I am new to photoshop. I have an image which I removed the background. After removing the background I added a black layer to check the background was removed ok and there were no stray white edges and it appeared correct in photoshop so I saved as a PNG. When looking at the folder where the PNG is stored it looks like there is a white halo surrounding it - but I cannot see it in photoshop. Any ideas why it looks like it has white edges in the desktop folder? Thanks!

I've found that when running Photoshop CC 26.2.0 under Windows 11 24H2 (build 26100.2605), it iappears to be necessary to have automatic color management enabled for PS to run in 30 bit color mode.(Graphics card is an RTX 4090 set to 10 bit color. Latest nVidia studio drivers. The monitor is a Philps 27E1N8900 OLED. which is 10 bit capable.) PS can be set to display in a wider gamut than sRGB. Is there an explanation?

After the recent update to Photoshop, I am now experiencing a strange graphical aberration (noise) when applying the foreground color to a layer. This happened when selecting part of the image and applying the sampled foreground color to that selection, as well as without a selection, and applying the same color using the paint brush tool. Hi, I know it's a stupid question but as someone who has strong feelings towards Generative AI, I just was wondering if there's any way to completely opt out of it, to disable it within Photoshop and have it not be something suggested?

When in LRC I right click to edit in PS, the image does not transfewr through to the photoshop panel for editing, as it used to. How is thias now done?Thanks 

So I've just fired up my computer to do a bit of photo editing in Photoshop. I Notice an alert for a new Photoshop update. Because my Photoshop has been very-VERY slugish over the last few months (despite having a very powerful new computer) I clicked the update.   BIG MISTAKE!!!! I Now have a COMPLETLEY DIFFERENT layout and I cant find any of my folders to edit!!!! I Had approx 80 folders on my desktop and previous version they were all neatly stacked in a row on the left hand side in the photoshop app ready to use. Now I have nothing. I Can't even edit from a seperate connected hard drive. WHATS GOING ON?????    I Have clicked uninstal and then gone to older versions but every time the new version is installed!!!! How can I go back to the version from the start of 2025?   Any help would be much appreaciated.

Hola muy buenas, resulta que la herramienta mano (la que aparece mientras pulsas barra espaciadora para desplazarte por el documento) Resulta que sólo está seleccionada esa herramienta, cuando pongo el bote de pintura, el pincel, desenfocar, crear una figura... lo que sea, siempre me aparece la mano. He probado a iniciar photoshop pulsando los comandos para resetear preferencias, he restaurado a valores de fábrica tanto los espacios de trabajo como las opciones generales, ejecutado como administrador y acabo de actualizar a la última versión de adobe creative cloud. Y no, no es el teclado ni perfiféricos, acabo de verificar todo ¿Alguna solución?

Una carpeta entera de archivos .CR3, el RAW nativo de Canon, no las puedo abrir, me aparece "archivo dañado o no compatible" Es el mismo tipo de archivos que vengo usando hace años. Las fotos de referencia que tomo en JPG tienen el mismo problema. 

Hi -   After updating last night to PS 26.5, this morning exporting LR files to PS, they do not open in the new version. I am using LR 14.2.   Also I get the Error 21: undefined is not an object Line 1 trying to save files in PS.   Anyway to go back a version of PS, or do I have to uninstall and reinstall or...   Thanks! -Larry

how much space does photoshop ond lightroom classic use ive only got 500gb on my laptop and it seems to swallowing it up

I found a bug report for this that said it's resolved but it isn't. I'm on a Mac running Sequoia 15.3.2. I had to go back to 25.12.2 to get it to work. 

I purchased CS5.5 in 2011 which still shows in my account under registered products. Under 'Activated Devices' it shows 'You have no activated devices'. However, when I try to install CS5.5 on my new laptop it tells me that it is already active on 2 devices. I tried to reinstall on my old laptop to make sure that I had deactivated it properly, but it won't even let me do that. Any ideas?

I am considering replacing my MacBook Pro from 2021 with an M4 Pro Mac mini. I have an M4 Max chip on the MBP which says it gets up to 546Gb/s memory bandwidth. The Mac mini gets 273 GB/s memory bandwidth. Is that likely to make a difference in practice?I would also be downgrading from 24 to 20 GPU cores. I would be upgrading though from 10 CPU cores to 14.Why am I considering this? Because the MBP weighs too much and so considering a travel replacement at the same time. Also the number of ports and speed of those ports on the mini will help me get rid of the rat's nest on my desk.Thanks for any thoughts

Hello. I am trying to learn the basics in generative fill and use of A.I. If I generate - for example a tiger. The tiger looks like artwork drawn on pencil etc... How do I get to see only the photorealistic versions that can be used in addition to a photograph in such a way the result still looks like a photograph ?

For the last several days Adobe Photoshop 2023 (tried 2018,2020, 2022, two different computers) and Epson P 600 (tried printer managed and Photoshop managed) have not wanted to print on 13X19 paper (Epson Hot Press Bright). There doesn't seem to be an issue with 8.5X11 paper. Just 13x19I've done everything I can think of:1. took my 1 year old PC in for checkup yesterday (12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K 3.60 GHz 32 BG RAM  64 bit system). Reinstalled graphics card drivers (there was another issue, now resolved). 2. I spent 1&1/2 hours this afternoon with a very patent Epson support agent. He checked preferences, settings, uninstalled/reinstalled printer driver, nozzle checks, you name it. One possible clue (if this rings a bell) is that we checked the print preview box in setup, and when it showed up, the color had a strong pink cast. Buonasera da un pò di tempo ho un grosso problema con l'accelerazione hardware della mia GPU Nvidia 3060, in poche parole quando apro un DNG con camera raw e l'importo su Photoshop nel momento in cui lo riapro con camera RAW mi esce il seguente errore Impossibile completare il comando "Filtro Camera RAW" poichè si è verificato un errore del programma, quindi ogni volta devo salvare e riaprire il file, qualcuno gentilmente può aiutarmi, grazie

Buenos días a todos/as. Es mi primera intervención por aquí, y me gustaría saber a ver si alguien sabe por qué ocurre esto. Estoy probando el uso del "relleno generativo" con la última versión de Adobe Photoshop, concretamente jugando con la ampliación de imágenes, para que me rellene todas las zonas que agrando de la imagen. Lo realizo según los tutoriales, pero cuando se tiene que poner a "rellenar" me aparece el sieguiente cuadro que véis en la imagen.
