I’m trying to use Random Fill to fill the selection in this image with skulls, but I don’t want the skulls at the edge of the selection to get cut off.I want it to look more like this.The only way I can get it to look like this is if I manually add in each individual skull that got cut off, which is really annoying and time consuming, especially when I make selections that get bigger and there are more and more skulls around the edge that get cut off.Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Can't move a GROUP with the move tool.  PS 20.0 grabs the last single item that I was working on within that group. Never had this happen before; been using PS since '89. Anyone else have this issue?

The box that surrounds text in blue is huge and is off center so it is impossible to align text properly as it jumps all over the place.

I am using the latest Adobe Camera RAW version on a Windows 11 laptop.I just spent a lot of time fixing an ACR subject mask and then spent a lot more time editing the subject. I then wanted to selectively edit everything except the subject, however, when I inverted the subject mask with the tweaks applied, the tweaks disappeared.  I of course had a snapshot, so I didn't lose any changes, however, this is not the core issue.Creating a separate non-subject mask should not be necessary, and in this case, it ended up masking some of the subject anyway.So, the obvious question is - once I've finished editing a masked ACR subject, how can I simply and quickly selectively edit everything except the subject, without of course losing the subject edits in the process? 

It's been out a few years now and it hasn't even slightly improved. If anything it's gotten worse. Let me remind you that this is a subscription app, you charge credits for ai tools on top of that, and yet the tools is worse than some random thing is find by googling "object removal" and trying the first option. You have to do better. 

Hi everyone,I’m looking for help with a recurring issue when saving scanned PNG images as PDF files in Photoshop (27.3.1). Recently, the PDFs generated are partially corrupted or misread by Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Photoshop.The Problem: When I open these PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, I get the following error:"The dimensions of this page are out-of-range - Page content might be truncated."The page size appears as 1x1 mm, making the content cropped and pixeled.What I’ve discovered so far: Third-party viewers: If I open the same PDF with PDF-XChange, it displays perfectly with the correct dimensions. Re-opening in Photoshop: If I open the "corrupt" PDF back in Photoshop, it also shows the wrong 1x1mm size. The "Workaround": If I check the box "Preserve Photoshop Editing Capabilities" when saving, Photoshop is able to reopen the file correctly, but Acrobat still struggles with it. As mentioned in the original description, select subject does not work correctly from the masking interface, however if I use it outside of it and then create a mask it works. This has been an issue for me that has spanned multiple version, so I am unsure if its an issue on my end or not. I have reset my preferences with no success, and I believe I have previously reinstalled also with no success.I am using Photoshop 27.3 on Windows 11 with an Nvidia RTX 3080ti.

Hello! I’ve tried several different things (up-to-date graphics drivers, disabling Open CL/ GPU Compositing, resetting preferences, even turning off Use Graphics Processor which felt like a last-ditch effort to me) but my entire computer crashes at one point or another when using the Select and Mask screen. The weird thing is, it’s not even when that window first launches, and I had successfully used it a minute prior. I’ll attach computer specs below as well as the .dmp files since I don’t have a crash report.

I have several M1 Macs—from Mac mini to iMac—and they all have the same issue. Whenever I open Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, even if I don’t do anything, WindowServer will jump to around 80–90% GPU usage. Once I start working with files, even just opening a single image, the whole system becomes choppy and starts dropping frames, with GPU usage almost maxed out.But : if I switch the app to full-screen with menu bar mode (press F), the window shadows disappear, GPU usage drops back to normal, and everything runs smoothly—even with large files open. This makes it pretty clear the issue is related to how window shadows are being handled in macOS 26 and how it interacts with Adobe apps.It’s been months since Adobe 26 came out, and I’ve been waiting for updates to fix this, but even the latest versions still haven’t solved it. Ever since I updated to the latest version of photoshop, the select and mask tool is giving me weird results. It is recognizing the subject in the photo, but it is recognizing it in the wrong location. Its as if it is selecting where the subject was before the image was moved to a different spot on the canvas. Photos attached.

Hello,I own a genuine license for Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection and CS6.0 master collection. I am trying to activate the software on a new computer, but I receive the error message “Activation limit reached”. The issue is that I can no longer access the old computers in order to deactivate the software.Could you please reset the activation count for my license so I can use the software on my new computer?

Hey all,I'm a novice Photoshopper and hoping a kind soul can help. I have searched for this answer but cannot get it right. I believe this is simple - and hope someone can describe clear steps to solve the issue! 1) I have a text box. It is a three letter acronym. I have selected size/font etc.2) I wish to make the text itself thicker - not bigger, or further spaced apart - simply, thicker. Can anyone tell me how to do that?  It's just a text box with 3 letters in it. Which I need to make thicker. Thanks!

I would like to know when Camera Raw will support OnePlus 13 RAW files?

I updated Adobe Photoshop today, and since then I have been experiencing an issue while opening Camera RAW files.Specifically, when I enable the “Super Resolution” option in Camera Raw and attempt to open a file, an error message appears, preventing the file from opening successfully.File opening error : Could not open because the file-format module cannot parse the file.This issue started immediately after the update, and I was not facing any problems prior to that.Kindly assist me in resolving this issue at the earliest. Please let me know if you require any additional details or error logs.Please help.Thank you.

So I'm trying to export my print file in photoshop and its limiting me to a 46.87% size. It always does this for larger prints. Is there a work around for this where I can export the actual size, like 106x87 inch 300ppi document? Thanks guys!

Recent files on PS home page & File>Open Recent Menu of  Workspace no longer show file location.  This changed within the last few weeks after a recent PS update.  Now the homepage shows “On Your Computer”.   There may be many versions of a file.  W/o this info, it is difficult to choose the correct version. 

Why does GF hew to the color of the central objects. For instance, today, I have an old photo of two people dressed largely in blue. I requested a fill behind of “white curtains,” but the curtains are generated as blue. Why does GF not allow me to choose what colors I want? Why does GF usually misspell words? Why can’t I dictate what will be generated and have GF simply follow directions properly?

What is this error? I'm using Remove Tools. I wait about two minutes for it to process and start working, and then it sometimes displays this error. They’ve already screwed up Adobe Premiere, and now they’ve gone after Photoshop! Enough is enough! First your export wasn't working, and now Remove Tools isn't working.

I’m trying to follow some of the youtube tutorials to change a photo into an oil painting style. I create an alpha channel (50% or 30% grey), make a selection based on the alpha channel, reselect the RGB channel but when I prompt to "oil paint" the creations have nothing to do with my photo.Seems to only be a problem in the new model and not the older models. Is there a reason for this?

The Generative fill doesn’t respect a selection. It used to but it doesn't anymore. I tried on diferent computers and versions, also updated to the latest version ( 26.4.1 ). When an area is selected without any feathering the Generative Fiil generatation goes beyond the selected area. Is there an option to stop this behaviour so it works like it used to do?Thanks

I removed the Nik Collection 8 from my Mac but the still show up in the Creative Cloud panel (Plugin) as well as in Photoshop. How can i remove the entirely. Seems they’re just still menu items.regardsReimund

Macbook Air M5, 25mb ram, 2tb hard drive with 1.25tb space on the drive.Photoshop 27.5.0All works fine opening raw files from a Canon R5 (.CR3 format) but when I try to use Super Resolution in Camera Raw window it stops with an error: “Could not open “_123456.CR3” because the file-format module cannot parse the file.” I have used super resolution with other CR3 files in previous versions on an M1 Macbook Air with no issues at all. Is this a bug or have you guys changed something?

Since a short period I have the an ‘unwanted’ effect in Photoshop.When an image is on screen,  I regularly want to adjust the image borders (I mean the borders of the screen that holds the image) to reduce that screen with the image. During this action, the image itself also gets temporarily smaller and afterwards retakes its original size on screen. I’m losing time with this effect and it is also disturbing.I would like to know how this effect can be switched off.Adobe Virtual Assistant suggests I should deselect the Resize Windows To Fit option, or that I should deselect the Zoom Resizes Windows option, but this doesn’t work.So which Photoshop option would control this effect?

When selecting a menu object (drop down menu, a slider with number in field (such as the crop aspect ratio menu or the feather amount in Select and Mask) or a check box (like the preview check box in Select and Mask), the menu object stays highlighted after clicking it.
