Hello,I see and understand the Publish + Share option but I don't see anywhere from it to save/export as WMV, MOV, AVI, MPG, or FLV file formats. I had a much older version of this program and it was no problem to do it. Also, the Export under File is always grayed out and I don't now how to change that in case those options to save it in the above files are there.Glenn
HelloI recently downloaded a DVD case cover template with the following dimensions: Document size: 10.75 inches wide by 7.2 inches high (resolution 300 px/inches).I have followed these dimensions in Photoshop which shows my image as: 10.8 inches wide by 7.25 inches high which is fine. The size of the actual DVD case, using a tape measure, is 11 inches wide x 7.5 inches high, so you would think that my image, when printed out, would fit neatly inside the DVD case cover, but it doesn't. My printout is considerably bigger at 11.5 inches wide x 8.5 inches high. What have I done wrong? On the printer software (not Photoshop), I think I checked 'fit (image) to page'. Could that be the reason for the size differences? (I can only access the printer in a couple of days so I can't check the size differences now), but I would be grateful for any 'pointers'.I don't need to resize my case cover image, do I?Thank you.Steve
I’m trying to transition between two clips of background music on the soundtrack. Both music selections are violin & guitar instrumentals, and I want essentially to do an audio “cross dissolve” transition to blend the two musical pieces together.I found the “Constant Gain” and “Constant Power” cross fades under Audio Transitions, however, I’m not sure what they do or if I’m using them corectly. When I try to apply the effect to the junction of the two clips, it attaches to only one, and the Left Clip/Between Clip/Right Clip dialog is grayed out. (I’ve trimmed both clips so there’s plenty of head and tail room on both).Questions:What’s the proper way to apply the cross fade audio transitions? What’s the difference between Constant Gain and Constant Power?
There have been several discussions on the lack of real alignment tools in Titler, for both PrE and PrPro. I use a workaround to this, and just Import a "grid" image, created in PS and Saved to .PSD with Transparency. I use the same technique to build layouts for PiP and similar. One just Imports the .PSD into their NLE (Non Linear Editing) program, as a still, or as Footage in PrPro. The .PSD is then placed on the Timeline in a Video Track above any other Clips. The Title is then placed above the .PSD. In PrE, one sees the Video below the Title automatically. In PrPro there is a checkbox to do this. The grid in the .PSD is used for alignment of the elements/text in the Title.Be sure to remove the grid, when you are done, or in PrPro, you can turn off visibility for its Video Track. Otherwise, you WILL Export the grid, and that is not what you will likely want to do. Do not forget to disable this .PSD, before the Export.Attached are an NTSC 16:9 .PSD and an NTSC 4:3 .PSD, with proper PAR
I've just discovered the CPU-intensive program "Elements Auto Analyzer" runs automatically when I turn on my PC. I only realised when I saw all four cores running at 25% or so when nothing should have been happening at all.I'm not sure whether there's a way to prevent that happening other than to hit it with a hammer, but using "Autoruns" from www.sysinternals.com you can untick it from the "Logon" tab.I really hate programs that swamp my PC without asking me. I have no desire at all for "Elements Auto Analyzer" to run under any circumstances.I'm still finding that the main program (adobe premiere elements) itself never closes when I exit and I have to kill it using the task manager. I shall probably write my own utility to prevent that happening and if others are having the same problem I'll upload it somewhere.Grrrr!!
Another "How To" question.Running PE 13.1 on a Windows PC with 64 bit WIN 7.How to insert the degree symbol into text - I wish to have something like "Water temperature +2 <degree symbol>C"where <degree symbol> is the small circle (raised).I've found how to insert copyright (Alt+0169) & the Tilde (Alt+126) helped by Wikipedia but the Windos ciode for the degree symbol isn't shown - just the Unicode U+2103 but Alt+2103 just inserts a "7".HEM

I'm trying to pan and zoom a photo in elements but my action bar has gone missing. How do I get it to appear?
Hi Folks,I have just downloaded the trial version of Premiere Elements 8, and successfully created a video that looks good on the screen before rendering. After rendering, the "watermark" covers every frame of the video (30 minutes in length) completely. In other words, I can't see my video at all after rendering, though the audio is present. When I play the video, all I see is the watermark for the full 30 minutes. I understand the need to watermark videos created with the trial version, but if I can't see any part of the final results, I won't be purchasing the product. Did I do something wrong? How can I see the rendered video? I don't care if there is a watermark every few frames, but I would like to evaluate the rendering quality, and can't do that if I can't see the rendered video at all. Thanks,Don
I know that APE 11 is able to rotate video clip left or right but I need to flip one short video clip horizontally. Something like to switch the subject walk in from right to left. How can I do that in APE 11 ? Thanks.
I downloaded the program from online and installed it after some figuring out. I had to re-download and re-install it after the program would not open when I would click on the desk top icon (and the option for elements in my Windows Start list). It still will not start no matter what I do. There's no virus, no message popping up to tell me what's wrong. Simply nothing happens. I need this program both for school and my job and would appreciate some input if anyone has any answers or has experienced the same thing. Thanks.
HOW DO I FADE OUT AUDIO IN PREMIERE ELEMENTS 13?
HiThe preview panel on Adobe Premiere Elements 10 has stopped working. It was working fine until a couiple of weeks ago. I'd created a film and rendered it OK but after watching decided to do a little more editing. When I opened up the project the preview panel was just grey/blank. I move the cursor over a piece of film and just got like a snap shot.I can hear the soundtrack but no picture.I have tried a few suggestions from various sources as follows.I've updated the video/display drivers (directly from the manufacturers website)I've updated Windows for all the latest updates.I've updated all the video players and codecs I could find on my PC.I've updated Java.I've done a cleanup and defrag but there is about 650 gb of freespace.I've deleted the Bad Drivers file on a few occasions, this did give me a stuttering playback in the preview panel briefly but that has stopped again. If I open a different window over the top of Premiere, part of that image stays in the preview panel when I close
I am trying to decide between Premiere Pro and Elements 13 and would like to save some money while still being able to have those capabilities to key.Thank You!-Jesse
Hey guys,I was just wondering, since Youtube now implemented the 60 FPS feature, how I could render my videos with Adobe Premiere Elements 12, so that the outputfile has the following speccs:1920 x 1080p60 FPSYoutube-compatible file format, so:MPEG4AVIWMVMPEGPSFLVI have fine settings for working with 30 FPS or lower, but I can't seem to get them to 60 FPS with PE12 - at least not with usable results that don't need to render for 4 hours straight, or take about 5 Gigs of Space per 15 minute file...
I am getting the message "The importer reported a generic error" whenever I try to add .mov media files to my project. I am using Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 8. The .mov files generated from my iPhone seem to import properly but the .mov files from my camera are not working. I have installed the latest version of Quicktime (7 I believe). Not sure where to find more information on the specs of the file if required. Please advise. Thank you.
Hi Experts,I am working on Premiere Elements 10. I want to export video in best quality. I will play video in Big TV from USB drive OR from YouTube OR through AirPlay OR through DVD.But I see lot of options to save Video. Example: "HDTV 1080p 30 High Quality" / "MPEG2 1920x1080i 30" / "Adobe Flash Video" etc.Which one gives high quality. I want to keep best quality video file permanently. Thanks,Anji
Hi,We have a new laptop, and have just installed Adobe Premier elements 10. It´s Windows 7 64-bit, and we have a AMD Radeon HD 7670M grafic card in it. and we get the above error as soon as we try to start it up by chosing to start a new project. Please help us!
I was reading a review of Premiere Elements 11, and it was noted that PE11 had limited render options which can result in poor quality output files:"Rendering quality is limited to the original format, which is usually consumer-grade and heavily compressed, so adding an effect can degrade the video quality in the final rendered version when viewed at full size, especially in fast-moving scenes. Changing the preferences to slower/better quality helps, but does not eliminate this problem."http://www.techhive.com/article/2010628/review-adobe-premiere-elements-11-offers-an-easy-fast-and-simple-take-on-video-editing.htmlDoes anyone have any feedback on this? Are the rendering options limited?I am currently downloading the trial to test it. I tried using the "Adobe Download Assistant" but the download speed was poor, so I had to switch to a scene release on a filehosting site instead (good one Adobe).thanks
Hi all, have spent my hole day at my brother but still no idea what this error could be. After having this project in APE 8.0 and editing it now with the newly bougt Verion 10.0, everything was fine... Opened and saved it several time but today there were suddenly problems: Even a complete new project with the same material and same cut is now broken after having saved and exportet it.... When we are trying to open the project, we're getting the error:--------------"Premiere Elements has encountered an error.CONTINUE--------------And in the next window:-------------Project could no be loaded. It's damaged oder has old elements (not same words, cause my brother is using the german version)--------------I have tried everything so long: new installation, opening the damaged project on another computer with ELements 8.0 (identical error also there), deleting cahe, deleting Prefs, loading Auto-Backup (also damaged) and so on... Another "Test-Project" I have created with 2 clips is working fi

This was graciously provided by Gonza, and I hope that it helps others:Editing GoPro HD with Premiere Pro CS4IntroductionGoProHD has many different resolutions, all of them progressive scan (p) with square pixels, titled R1 to R5. It records in MP4 files, using H.264 video (AVC) and AAC audio. Here I will address R2 to R5:R2 = 1280 x 720 30p (widescreen 16:9)R3 = 1280 x 720 60p (widescreen 16:9)R4 = 1280 x 960 30p (standard 4:3)R5 = 1920 x 1080 30p (widescreen 16:9)Preparation of files It seems Premiere Pro CS4 does not like the way GoPro builds the MP4 container. So you have to re-write it so that it has a more standard form. You can do that using MPEG Streamclip (or Quictime Pro, but that one is not free)http://www.squared5.com/If you open your GoPro videos in MPEG Streamclip (or Quicktime Pro) , and then you just save them again ("save as... MP4") , then the MP4 container will be re-written but the video will not be re-encoded (hence, there will be no qualit
Hi All,I have recently purchased & installed Premiere Elements 11 on my Windows 7 64bit Dell laptop. I found the tutorials very helpful and was able to successfully create my first project - importing a 46 minute AVCHD file4GB m2.ts shot on my Panasonic HC-V100 in Record Mode HG1920: 1920x1080 25f/s Audio 48kHz. When creating the project I selected: New Project>Change Settings>PAL>AVCHD>Full HD 1080i 25 andTicked ‘Force Selected Project Setting on this Project’ (I'm in the UK hence selecting PAL)I added titles then created a menu and scenes using a still photo 2mb jpg 3456x2304 300dpi for the menu background. So far so good - really pleased with the results on screen. Next I selected Publish>Disc > selected AVCHD Add Name>Choose 1920x1080i>Burn to Folder. I then burned the BDMV Folder to DVD using the inbuilt DVD burner in my laptop. This successfully produced a DVD with menus and titles which will play on my Blu-ray player. The quality of the video is excell
