Questions

Was editing one day and it was fine. Went to start Premiere the next day and this happens (check video). It lags like crazy and drags out everything. Same thing when opening older projects and even creating new ones. Also included specs for the curious. Thank you in advance.

Premiere 25.2.1 (build 2)Mac Studio: 32GB, Sequoia 15.3.13 monitors I recently had a video source file from a zoom type recording. One of the three presenters had audio that was 8 frames out of sync. I discovered this after I had use the Premiere transcript feature to delete filler words and pauses. As a result I had a couple of hundred clips that I had to move the audio 8 frames to the right. If I selected a single clip, using the slip tool, I could grab the audio and drag it 8 frames--perfetc! BUT when I selected the entire range and tried the same maneuver, I MOVED all clip 8 frames, making audio clip ends out of sync with the video clip ends. I ended up having to go back in and move each clip individually OR individually drag clip ends back into alignment. A royal pain. I know if I had caught it before I deleted all the pauses, the problem would be gone, but shouldn't the slip tool,  applied to a group, have the same function as it does when applied to a single

My sequences only show black screens in both preview windows and I can't play the sequence either with both the playhead and the space button. I've changed the audio hardware, reset to original layout, cleaned out cache files, changed sequences, and restarted the program and computer multiple times. I don't know if this is relevant, but the program is the 2022 one, version 22.6.4, and I use it on a desktop macOS Catalina version 10.15.7. Does anyone know what is happening and how to fix it?

I'm working in (ugh, I know) CS4 (I'm broke, so don't shame me on that one.  I use it for simple projects. ) Recently, I lost my second monitor, but that's fine because I just told my control panel to operate only with the one monitor remaining.Which it's doing - for everything *except* Premiere Encoder.  Encoder overrides the control panel and keeps insisting on launching to that second, non-existent monitor.  I can't find any way to get at it to reset it.   Help! I'm trying to export a video to try to get a job and I'm combining pre-mixed audio with a video.  The job is done except for the exporting.   Narrrrg!  Any help on getting at resetting Encoder would be helpful!  

I have a problem where the '+' button for maximizing the timeline does not function correctly. The '-' button always works fine. It almost seems random. My keyboard operates fine.I am using the latest version of Premiere, but I've had this problem for a year or so on prior versions too.I have the Japanese language pack installed as well as English but changing language has no effect. Any help would be appreciated. 

From the time I started using program until my last project (a week ago), it has never been this slow. There's now a red line above my timeline, and I have to render every clip for it to play with any level of smoothness. No one asked for these changes. My computer isn't very powerful, but at least I could edit without issue before now. I only had slowdowns when there was a lot going on in my timeline. Other than that, it was fine. Now, it has become unnecessarily onerous and annoying to use this program. Please fix and revert it back. 

Now how many times ( and how long it's been ) we have to ask the geniuses @ Adobe to have a button to disable/enable effects on each track on the Audio Track Mixer? I mean, how easy can that be? Yeah I know we can duplicate a track and have all the effects disabled to hear it with and without the effects, but that's not the professional way to do it? You guys are making everyone switch to DaVinci or other NLE's. Good Lukk

Hi 🙂Problem: After uploading more than 105 clips to a project, memory consumption reaches 99% and the project stutters, sometimes loading but with wrong files. If I upload 100 files at a time, the problem does not occur. i am trying to edit some 4k footage and for some reason i am unable to turn on the toggle proxy bottuton it has a strike through on the button and i dont know how to enable it, i went through all my injest settings and enabled it through there but its still the same can anyone help me? i am using adobe premier pro 2024 in a windows laptop

level whole track sound on timeline When I want to level the sound on the timeline in adobe premiere it doesn't work. if i select all and select audio gain and 'use the option Normalize All Peaks' and choose 0 db or -3, one clip is good, but the other is distorted. What to do?

Okay so I have a Smooth playback when I'm in premiere pro and a graphic card that handles all of the normal playback problems pretty well but I have this problem where premiere pro doesn't show my effects when it is not pre-rendered. I've searched the whole internet for this and couldn't find a solution. It's Almost Impossible to work like this because I have to pre-render everything after I applied an effect, just to see if it looks good. Please help me, thanks! Best regards Moritz

I'd like to do a gaming podcast with my kids, involving 3-4 face cams overlayed on screenshots using OBS etc.   Previous, I would spend hours multicam editing whenever somebody talked (click on the vid to cut to that vid).   Is there a function or add-on that automatically cut and pastes the multicam like that, based on whoever is talking, so I don't have to do it myself?   Thanks

Hi. Have a problem that I have searched and searched for, but can't find the fix. I have a project that is using footage from both Sony and Canon cameras. Sony was shot on an FX3 in S-log and Canon on the C70 in C-log. However, in the properties for both once I bring them in the project, the color space says Rec.709, but images still look flat and "LOG". When I override the Canon clips to Canon Log-3/Cinema Gamut (via modify>color) it looks ok, but source window and timeline are slightly different. But when I do this to the Sony clips to Sony S-Log3/S-Gamut3.cine, they look horrible. Way over saturated and contrasty. I'v tried other Sony Luts, and also tried adding via lumetri color in both input and creative. I've toggled Auto Detect Log Video Color Space in Project Properties and also toggled the Display Color Management in Settings>Color. None of this has worked. What am I doing wrong here?  Also, here is the color data from the XML file of the Sony footage:<Item

  I have a script that inputs a project item, and a marker at the playhead, it gives me a default time of 5 seconds, how may I change the script to that the duration would be the same duration of the clip selected, instead of the default times.  Thanks for your help

I've lassoed the clips in my video where I want to speed it up, but only the first clip is being affected.  How can I change the speed in multiple, successive clips without doing it individually?  Thanks.    

I'm working on an edit with several layers in the timeline, trying out different combinations in V2, V3... When playing the video from the timeline, some layers are NOT showing up, just as if I had turned them off with the eye icon, but without having done so. I have to restart the program in order for me to be able to see these layers. This error is happening randomly, and it has happened 3 times in the last 2-3 hours. It's very confusing because the edit is changing constantly and now I'm not sure if I'm looking at the actual cut, or at a cut with some layers that are "off".  My computer settings: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)2.3 GHz Intel Core i9 8 nucleos32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4Macintosh HDAMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GBIntel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB 

I have one multicam clip with several through-edit cuts. I wanted to color one of these sections with a color label, but when selecting such label, ALL of the through-edit clips turn into that color label. There's no way of coloring just one section. Attached is a video showing what I mean. This is a bug that should be fixed, Premiere should treat every through-edit as an individual cut when it comes to color labeling.  My computer settings: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)2.3 GHz Intel Core i9 8 nucleos32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4Macintosh HDAMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GBIntel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB  

I'm using Premiere 24.4.1 Build 2 on Windows 11. What I want to do: I have a transcription from a 3rd party service that I want to apply to a clip in Premiere in order to do text based editing. I am using a 3rd party service as the footage is in Swiss German, which is not supported by Premiere. What happens: When I open the "Text" menu and click "Import static transcript" or "Import corrected transcript", nothing happens. The menu just closes. There is no way for me to select my external transcription file. Any ideas?

Occassionally when opening a window/panel from the Window menu, this mysterious audio-related panel opens alongside the window i chose (depsite me not choosing to open it).   The panel has no title bar, so i can't identify what it is. It has no hamburger menu.  When i right-click it, there is no option to close it. i can't click and drag it to peel it off the interface and close it. It's just... there, hopelessly. My only recourse is to shrink it so that it takes up as little room on the interface as possible.ChatGPT thinks it's the "Audio Meters" panel. When i go into the Windows menu, a window by that name IS checked, but if i click on it, i can't uncheck it to get rid of it. This has happened to me on multiple systems and configurations, and is a bug that has persisted in the software for years.

I never post on this stuff but this one is kind of a big deal. Not sure what happened but I didnt move media i have stored on a drive to anywhere else. Now im working on a big project and all of my media unlinked... whatever just right click and re-link? yeah it doesnt work with batch linking. So now I have to manually add back my clips one by one in for a 20 minute video?? Its all updated and I tried multiple times and closing the app. Still the same thing. So sick of premiere with constant bugs that makes it more difficult to actually do my job. absolutely so frustrating!! I guess time to switch to resolve.
