About every 5-10 minutes, when I drag the length of a clip (either shortening or lengthening), the program freezes for a few seconds and after that the player doesnt respond anymore.I can still do all other things, but the image of the player panel (idk what its called, but where you see your video reacting to your timeline) completely freezes and also other functions of the player dont respond anymore. (like changing zoom, scale etc) Is this a common bug? Does anyone know a fix?

I just had a very hard crash of PR 25.01. I wasn't do anything odd that I know of and all of a sudden the dreaded basketball appeared and would not go away. I closed everything else on my MacBook (m4/64GB Ram, 4GBHD) but the basketball would not go away. I tried killing the process, but it would not die. Finally rebooted the mac and that worked without having to power reset the macbook. On re-entering PR, it did a recovery which "seemed" to make everything work. After about 10 minutes though, I realized that my :seq filter in the project viewer stopped showing sequences even though there are sequence there (see screen shots below). Is there any way to tell the integrity of my project file. I'm worried. I put a lot in my project files. A full 50 or so clips of a training course.    

Adobe, please fix this annoying problem that is going for a long time from one verstion to another.For example, I'm making time remapping in Premiere clip. Then I want to add more complicated effects and do replace with AE comptosition command. Ok, now I have this clip in AE with time remapping there. But if I compare original frames in Premiere with what I have in AE, then I see some time shift. It's a small shift, may be just 1-2-3 frames but I see this problem for many times. Some clips with fast motion need to be very accurate, so I just can't say "no problem" to this small shift. So I have to go to AE and then carefully try to find what I need to change in time remapping there to get look like it was in Premiere.Replace with AE composition is a very good tool, but I just can't trust it. In some cases (like this) it just  changing the look of my clip.P.S. Also similar problem with optical flow interpolation. If I make replace with AE composition then this effect is just turnin

Sometimes I accidentally press Ctrl+Q instead of Ctrl+W and the project closes. Where can I set up a confirmation request to close a project?Thanks

I'm editing a project off of an SSD drive (the project file and all of its source files are on that same drive). I've been editing this project on and off for about a year now with no problem. A few weeks ago, I opened the project and tried to render the timeline so that editing is smoother (as I've always done before) and was met with this error code. It starts off rendering as usual at first but then abruptly stops at the same point in the timeline and yields this code. I've tried rendering another sequence within the project and got the same error code just at another timecode on the timeline. I also have been getting multiple 'Error retriving frame...' and 'Substituted frame...' error mesages upon initially opening the project. I've tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling premiere multiple times, but that hasn't solved the problem. I even selected 'Delete Preferences' when uninstalling premiere, then reinstalling it to no avail. The weird thing is, I tried plugging

Hi everyone, I've seen a few posts about similar issues... I'm experiencing severe lag when working with sequences that include a couple of layers including text layers. For me, editing a text layer causes nearly 1 minute of lag before the edit shows up. This makes it almost impossible to work efficiently.  This issue seems to persist across multiple projects, and based on what I've read others have had this issue, with no clear solution. I'm working in 4k 10-Bit Color, Sony FX30 Footage Project File and Assets: I've uploaded the project file and assets here:https://drive.google.com/open?id=1MwnDCIVVU3nsahi-_YhVX0aZs_RcTRNm&usp=drive_fs I’ve already tried:Clearing the cache.Disabling hardware acceleration.Updating drivers and Premiere Pro. But nothing seems to fix the issue.  Has anyone else encountered this? If you look at the red circles 1 and 2, they are disconnected, but since you can't see the black line, it looks like 1 is continuous. Is there any way to change the white line into a black line?

After facing a crash, I cannot import any video to my premiere pro. When I drag a video, only audio part is imported, and the mouse cursor is displayed as 'fist' (shown when dragging) on the video part. I tried changing GPU Acceleration to Acceleration to Mercury Playback Engine and it's still not working. Can anyone help please?

Hi there! I'm using a dual monitor setup.I moved some windows on the second monitor, including the project panel, and then saved the changes to the workspace. When I create a new Premiere project all the panels on the second monitor are there (because I saved the changes in the workspace) but the project panel is on the first monitor. This happens all the time with no reason. Every time I have to move it to the second monitor.

Hey guys,Working on a big project and the markers I make on the clips and audio itself I keep deleting them cus I don't need them anymore but then when I close the project and re-open all the markers are back??  Ideas?? 

Hello to people are left running this hollowed-out husk of a company. Thanks so much for reorienting your software around hideous AI slop that does nothing but boil the planet, devalue our work and produce endless piles of garbage! Meanwhile, the new 2025 version that your software auto-updated to without my asking is almost entirely unusable! Audio tracks that are in stereo only play in one channel - who knows why, it's Adobe! The media encoder can't process basic video transitions - who knows why, it's Adobe! Like every other tech company, their main "innovations" at this point involve finding ways to actively make their product worse while also changing their pricing to bilk us all out of even more money! It has been alsmot impossible to have Frame IO working on stable mode with Premiere Pro, in any version. It simply useless. 

For RED Raw footage, do you load in the Media Encoder queue just the first clip in the camera card folder?  Or load up all the clips, then in the Premiere Pro bin clear out the extra clips?  Seems to be a lot of extra work with RED footage - please fill me in.

I speak Portuguese, so I will translate step by step. The issue arises because the new properties panel changes based on your selection. You likely can't edit text size or settings like outline and shadow because the wrong subtitle format was selected.   HOW TO FIX    First step: In the timeline, right-click on the name of the subtitle format, which is to the right of the eye where we change the track view. Second step: Click on track settings Third step: Change to "subtitle" format And that's it, click on your caption and edit as normal! I'm running Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 for Mac (old, I know, but it works for what I need). A while back, I installed FL Studio to experiment with a few things but never ended up using it much and uninstalled it by dragging it to the trash. When I started Premiere Pro the other day to work on a project, it hung on loading the FL Studio VSTi.vst as shown in the screenshot below. I've tried launching it with the keyboard shortcut before clicking that forces Premiere to rescan all plugins, reinstalling all my Adobe products, and verifying that /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS6/MediaCore/ is empty. I would try the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, but it says my OS is too old to run the program. Other than restoring my OS to a previous date before installing FL Studio, is there anything else I can do to get Premiere Pro to work?

Hello all, I'm experiencing an issue that I can seem to get to the bottom of. I have two open projects and would like to copy a sequence from one to the other. When I drag to the new project I get the + indicating I should be making a copy but nothing happens. I am able to copy individual clips this way, but not sequences. Any ideas?   I suspect I can use Media Browser but that's such a slog and I have done it the other way 10k over the years so hopefully I've got a setting off or something.   running PP 25.1 but had the same issue in the last version or two of 24. On an Intel iMac. Cleared the cache and reset the preferences...

I have a CC account.  I just took a premiere advance course and during the course i was required to use the student settings.  I like what I set up for my keyboard, etc, now I want to transfer these new settings to my CC account... BUT, I can only log into the student account from the classroom... how do I transfer those settings from that student account to my CC account w/o have to sign into the student account every time I want to use my new settings.??  Another words, I want my CC account to use these new settings without having to sign in to the student account.
