So I was working on a video in Premiere Pro when it suddenly closed down, no warning at all. When I re-opened the project it was several stages before. I'm not really sure if I saved it before that but in the support forum it said that the program saves copies of that project every fifteen minutes, so I want to know if and how can I get my project back
I need some recommendations On premiere pro transitions. I'd like to purchase some transitions that sit within my effects folder. Ones that I can just drag and drop on a clip. I've attempted to purchase some online and they've come through and they don't sit in the effects folder and they're just really cumbersome to use. I'd just like to be able to purchase a pack that sits in my effects folder and it's a one time payment not a subscription method. Does anyone have any decent locations where I can get this from? Thanks
Hi All - going through a tutorial book and stumped as to why I can see A/B effect (sources) for "Dip to white" but not for "Barn Doors" transitions? Working on a high-end Dell Precision 3660 desktop. Anything super obvious? Any help appreciated 🙂
My drone splits videos at some point. I guess roughly 3.5GB. I like making subclips; especially of drone footage. I generally just hit record before I lift off and don't hit stop until I land again. Then I make subclips of the interesting pieces. But if the original footage is in pieces, what is the normal practice to make subclips?I thought I could make a sequence and then pull subclips from the sequence but Premiere doesn't allow me to do that.
I hope someone can help me. Because I've given up on finding this feature. How do I make the clip duration show up on the timeline right on it? Right now there's only the media file name. For example, in Avid I can do this.
Hi I keep getting a message saying a file is missing. I've tried to located it using link media but to no avail. However my question is, how can I see which file in my sequence is being referred to? I suspect it is picking up an file that is not longer required anyway, so I'm just wasting a lot of time looking for it to relink...I can see 'Reveal in Finder' in the Project Panel, say. But is there something like 'Reveal in Sequence'? It's starting to drive me round the twist!
Hi there. There's a PC restricted by the tech department of a company, with a set of Adobe software on it. The software cannot be reinstalled or changed in any way, it's set up and running. And there's only one Windows user profile on this system - another one cannot be created. Since there are two people working on this PC, the task is to make Premiere Pro start with one of the two sets of settings including keybindings, preferences, workspace settings. How can this be done, with what instruments? Additional software cannot be installed either. Any command line prompts or some additional shortcut commands maybe? Or can this be done with a batch file?So the result as needed is two shortcuts for Premiere Pro each of which would start the software with its own set of settings.
Why has Adobe Premiere 22 suddenly stopped importing mts files with the audio synced to the video??

Hi,Could someone help me find a way to remove the gap between subtitles? I'm doing it manually by dragging the mouse for each subtitle, but it's too time-consuming. Thank you very much.
Hello, I have a problem. After importing the .srt file into Premiere, I can't seem to find a way (thats not manually) to change the font only the first line of captions. I'll explain. My .srt file has chinese text on top and english on the bottom, making it a double line of subs. I know how to change ALL the fonts for all the captions but is there a way to only change the font for the chinese captions (aka just the top line)?
I can't for the life of me figure out why my premiere pro at home won't display the num pad in keyboard shortcuts. It shows up on my work systems both PC and Mac, but not my home one. Anyone know the reason for that and how to fix it? I've attached an image of what my shortcut layout looks like. There should be a numpad on the right hand side to map shortcuts to.
Hey all! I have a quick question here for the pros / smarter ones. Let me give you context:I make a TON of short ads on a weekly basis, 1 ad is in 3 formats, usually 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16. The ads always contain subtitles. I then translate the original English AD to 6-10 more languages. My workflow:I create the ENGLISH version first: Create subtitles & captions using the AI tools, upgrade caption to graphic then apply a nice lil bump effect to all graphics so the text has a little animation on appearance. The unproductive part is:When it's time to translate the subtitles into another language and I do it bit by bit (usually line by line) I have to either do it 3 times for each language! Because I have 3 sequences OR - my solution: Simply copy/paste all the graphics and just move the text to where it fits best in the different format. Even this though takes long when doing it 10-15 times per day if there's a way to avoid it. In the past I would
Is there a way (a script?) to export all text fields of mogrts (made in AE) contained in a PP sequence to an xml (.csv or any other export spreadsheet format). And possibly to reimport them to a different sequence. The case scenario is this: I have a sequence heavy with mogrts containing text. I want to export the text, translate it in multiple languaes and re-inport. In AE that would be quite easy, with something like text2spreadsheet. I'd like to know if there is anything like this for PremierePro.Thanks.
Hello, I recently finished a custom graphic in After Effects as an attempt to create custom subtitle animations for Premiere Pro. The issue I have come across is, when I try to apply the template to the subtitles, I can't. I am guessing it's because I created a property in the template called "Source Text", which isn't directly editable without changing the property's text. Are there any work-arounds or something different I should be doing?
Trying to make my life a bit easier on +15min videos that need subtitles.Currently autotranscribing the sequence into a text transcript, then create a text layer, give it a good look, add animation keyframes for them to pop in with, and copy/paste the text from the text panel into each text layer on the timeline (with the needed spellchecking) via alt + dragging and dropping.Wondering if there's a way for me to automatically have this process be completed (par the spellchecking). I need to somehow find a way to autotranscribe the whole sequence, convert the text into some sort of file that I can drop into premiere and I'll have the all the subtitles in their own 'animated' text layer right where they need to be, with all having left to do is spellcheck and rearrange some sentences. Anyone have any ideas? Been searching all day but nothing really gets close to what I'm trying to accomplish here. Thanks very much for any help!
hello! does anyone know a possible way to allow the text-to-speech captions to be animated in any way? i used to do it like this, but this website no longer works. Kinda sucks we don't have the default ability to animate them, so if anyone knows I work around, I would appreciate it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gonMNkGbLIo&start=593&ab_channel=MotionArrayTutorials
Hey guys, i did create a subtitles from a text and chose a minimum length, so now subtitles appear word by word and each word dissapears once new word applied. Please help me to make subtitles work in the next way:They must appear word by word but previous word must not dissapear. So this will be a line of text where each new word will be displayed after a previous word, and when line will exceed it's length it will continue from new line. All previous words must be visible.
I've used the transcription option in the text window, then I've created captions out of them, then I've converted the captions to graphics.I've created some motion keyframes within the text effect, and I've also added Basic 3D and animated a few keyframes within that effect. How do I save all of that as a custom "something" so I can apply it to all of the graphics clips from my captions, without making adjustments on every single clip? The barriers I've encountered so far: I can save it as an essential graphics .mogrt, but I can't apply it to existing clips with text. It appears I would have to start there, and type out each caption.I can save the whole thing as a custom preset from the effect controls window, but when I apply that to the other caption clips, it overwrites the text to be whatever was in the caption from the clip I made the preset from.I'm all out of ideas after that.
The screen shot below from my phone shows a video I'm trying to upload to Instagram. Why is the video taking up such a small space? The sequence settings are 1080x1920. See 2d screen shot. The Preset is Facebook 1080p Full HD which I'd think should give me what I want. I don't know if this is actually an export problem or an IG upload problem. If the latter, how do I fix? Can anyone help? Thanks.
Premiere Pro 2024. So I have a text layer on top of my background-video layer. I traced an object on my background layer and created a masked path of it. And now I need my text layer to follow the same path, so it looks like the text is stuck to the object. Hopefuly I wass able to describe it correctly. Looks like a simple task but I'm having trouble doing this. Simply pasting the mask to the position property doesn't work. I'll add a fefw screenshots. Any help would be appreciated!
Windows 10, Premiere Pro 24.6.1I've been a Pr user for years, so I'm familiar with the yellow/red/green colors above the timeline and what they mean. But suddenly, in this latest project, I see something new: no color at all above my clips in the timeline. Like zero. ??? Is this the new normal? What did I miss?If I right click a clip, and choose Replace With After Effects Composition, then the red line appears ONLY over that clip. The rest of the timeline still has no yellow or otherwise. Then, when I choose Render In To Out, Pr only renders the red part (Ae comp) and stops rendering after that. If I check the Scratch folder on disk, it only has the rendered file for the Ae comp, not the entire timeline. Then, when I close Pr to come back to it later, once again the Ae comps in the timeline have a red line over them. ??? Even though the Scratch folder has not moved and all the renders are still in it. No changes were made to those Ae comps. To be clear, if I press Spacebar, Pr does play ba
I've been editing this one project for a few hours, and when I started, the audio levels were normal and just a few minutes ago, I noticed that when I try to drop an audio clip onto the timeline it's distorted and way too loud unless I adjust the level and bring it down a lot. I switched download link websites and hoped it would make a difference but it didn't at all. Whether I drag it from file explorer to the project bin or when I import it straight into premiere, it doesn't change anything. I'm not sure what to do and my project is due tonight!!! Also, when I try to import a video into Premiere, I get a "file unsupported" red error message, and it only imports the audio.
