Questions

Premier Pro is up-to-date on my machine but will not drag and apply effects. I normally select an effect and try to apply it to a clip by dragging it. However, when my mouse reaches the timeline, it reverts back to a pointer arrow. The hand and effect are no longer present. I have tried multiple video effects and some audio transitions, but the program isn't allowing me to apply any of them.

I have the most recent version (did updates after this bug started and still not fixed) of PP for MacBook Pro and up until today it's worked great. Now, EVERY time I try to upload media files it freezes at approx 60% completed and will never go forward. I have to cancel every time, and this has become incredibly frustrating. I have uninstalled and reinstalled PP 2 x, and have restarted MacBook many times, all to no avail. Memory is at 40% available (average) and I have 200GB of free storage. ANY HELP is much appreciated!!

I'm new to Premier Pro and I'm working on my first project.  I'm trying to add some smooth transitions in between takes and it's only allowing me to use the default transitions.  I've searched for help and watched youtube videos, but I do not have a Transitions settings option anywhere.  I updated my software, closed it, and restarted it.  Still, no option to change the transition settings. 

So I've installed Creative Cloud Desktop however when I try to install Premiere Pro, it says "You must update your system to install Premiere Pro. Please check the following: -Processer with Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (AVX2) support required".I have a i7-2600k cpu.Please help me guys

Long shot, I know, but if I've got .mp4 or other format files exported from Premiere timelines, is there any way to reveal what the original Project file they came from was named? Wondering if it's maybe hidden in metadata or something.I did revisions to a bunch of files last year, have the exported mp4s, but can't find the original Premier Project. Thx

Hello All, I kind of have a question to you if you already encountered this problem before. I don't really know if it's a technical or hardware issue, so please bear with me. For some time I need to work in After Effects and Premiere Pro, both of them are the latest versions, constantly updating. The problem is, after I finishes my animation in AE and export it to .png sequence (we are talking 50 fps, 1920x1080)  -> import it to Premiere, nest and give a background clip, the whole program just freeze in a sense. It gives real time "data" only if I move the window a little. If I put it to the taskbar and back to full, my whole workspace just go grey until I don't move the window to smaller size.  It's a company PC, not the newest but not bad either and it can keep up mostly everything I need to do. With the IT we updated the Nvidia drivers, windows and every possible extension we could find but nothing works so far.I tried to remove all the cache fi

Salutations! I have a problem that I am hoping has a simple solution.I have a short video that uses a number of stereo clips. All the audio in the timeline plays back fine in both left and right speakers.However, when I export, I get left side only.My export settings are marked for stereo.I have been working with Adobe for years; this is a new problem for me.Any help helps! I have searched high and low - and there does not seem to be an official fix or workaround for a proper workflow for Premiere Pro to properly handle an iphone edit, COLOR MANAGEMENT wise.  Iphone 14 pro using HDR settings, have changed / tweaked every setting known to man, tried HDR LUT conversions, HLG export settings, and changing / rechanging every color management toggle and setting known to man. And after about 10 hours of trying, I have given up.  IF I wasnt shooting human beings, perhaps I could edit / shoot around this. But skin tones look like I am filming with a iphone 1. Overblown, or too dark, and never ever even close.  Is this truly a lost cause? I seem to be reading a lot of these lost-cause cases where people have just thrown in the towel.  Thanks in advance 

I'm fairly new to Adobe Premiere, and I'm really stumped as to what the problem could be here. And maybe it's just as good as it gets... So after exporting the mp4 file in Premiere, the video looks somewhat pixelated. There is a lot of smoke in the video, and subtle gradients, and the video seems to have sort of distinct sections of color, that are a bit pixelated. In premiere itself, it looks absolutely perfect, but not in the exported version. I'm wondering if that's just the way it is, and I need to accept that it doesn't look as good as in Premiere?... Here is a screenshot of what the video looks like in Premiere:And here is one of the first frame in Quicktime player, of the exported version:It's kind of hard to tell in these photos, but you can see defined sections in the bottom one, where it kind of looks like Quicktime is just rounding certain pixels off, and it's not just a completely smooth gradient. I am a newbe to Premiere Pro.  I have tried looking at the available tutorials but have not found the detail of what I am trying to do.I have several media on the time line, some just images, some Video.  Assume 18 media on the time line.  Media 1 is an Image where I placed Text.  What I am trying to do is as follows:When the viewer clicks on a specific text in Media 1, I want that to cause the playhead to go to the start of say Media 4.First: Is this even possible in Premiere Pro?Second: Assuming it is possible, are that any tutorials specifically dedicated to this functionality?Thirdly: If there are no tutorials, can anyone tell me the steps to make this happen?I am on Windows 10.Thanks for your helpNeal

I have a clip (NB! Just one clip) that is an interview. Since the interview is done using a mobile phone, the sound level of the interviewer is higher than that of the person being interviewed. I am looking for a way of "levelling" the sound level in the clip, so that the interviewer has the same volume as the person being interviewed. Done a lot of Googling, but many of the tips involves the audio gain, but that does not "flatten" the audio curve, it just adjusts the level of the complete clip. There are also a lot around normalizing audio between clips, but I am interested in levelling out a single clip. The clip typically looks like below, where the first half is the person asking the question, and the last half is the person answering. Any tip? Can it be done within Premiere Pro? Any easy way in Audition? 

This is occurring for my entire office, multiple machines, different accounts, after opening a project they are automatically crashing after a minute or so of being open (without so much as moving the mouse) or as soon as one of us interacting with the project. No freezing, no "Not Responding" just a crash. We have gone as far as reimaging one of our machines and doing  a complete fresh install and that did nothing. Deleted older version preferences, did nothing. Reverted to older installs of PP, also, did nothing. Downloaded the diagnostics tool, it just keeps telling us a new driver needs installed, sends us to intel, we've installed the new driver, rebooted and with the new driver installed, the diagnotics tool says a new driver is still needed. Nothing is working. My entire company has come to a production halt due to this. Any help would be appreciated.   

Hi,  *I'm not 100% sure of the name, but I will refer to it as  the "project" panel, because it usually has the word, "project" before the file name of your project file.  The issue is when I create a new bin, or delete a few files, the whole panel shrinks to be just big enough to show the files that there. Which can be annoying, especially when I want to drag files into that folder.  Anyway I can prevent this panel from changing sizes on it's own? (see attached)

When I try to delete the spaces using the transcription it does not let me click on the option, the button is grayed out and does not let me access the option, is there anything else I have to press for the function to work correctly and actually delete what I need it to delete?

After today's update, "Three way color corrector" and "fast color corrector" effects are not showing up in the effects panel. Where did these effects that I use the most go? There is not even any color correction effect option. Regards

What is the Maximum Compression Rate in Mbps for Exporting HEVC (H.265) video files? Here in my version it only goes up to 60Mbps. The problem is that for video360 8k only 60Mbps is not enough. They say 120Mbps is possible, what do you see at the premiere?

Hello community.I was wondering if there is a possibility to see stereo audio in timeline and source monitor with a single (unified) waveform. by default a single audio track shows separate L-R channels) example in picture.I would basically like to see a stereo waveform as if it were mono BUT remaining stereo signal. This is how stereo tracks are displayed ----> This is how I would like to see them ---->   Thank you so much!

Today I had to delete preferences and empty the media cache. All good - Pr stopped crashing and works fine again, except every time I open the project I'm working on all preferences are reset: Default keyboard shortcuts, default workspace, default timeline preferences.  The setting files aren't lost - I can just go and select my keyboard shortcuts, reselect my workspace - but it's a faff. Anyone know why this is happening? Is it constantly resetting preferences now?  Thanks. James.      (Mac - 14.6.1, M3 Max. Premiere 24.6) 

I have been editing a video in which i was i have used the 'mask with text feature' pretty much the whole way through. I updated premier pro today to v24.6.1 and all of my masks are now blank even though i haven't touhed them adn they were working fine before? 

This has happened so much over the years. And I am at a loss as to why. I'll have a sequence in Premiere Pro full of all sorts including linked After Effects comps. I'll Render It all, it's all 'green' with preview files. I save the project , close it, open it up again a few days later - previews are all stil there. BUT When I then go to tweak a linked After Effects comp by going to 'Edit Original' on the timeline - all the previews disappear and my timeline is now back to unrendered 'red' and not rendered 'green'. Can anyone help me as I'm at a loss as to why this happens! It's happened for years on several projects, on serveral devices! Is it me? Am I cursed....?

Hello! Two questions (they're related)1st -Does anyone know how to turn a "wipe" transition into a preset?I specifically use it to show before and afters of photographs on Instagram reels, and would love to save the settings I typically set it to for future use. For example, I change the line color to white and the thickness to "3". 2nd - I would like to create a preset for text on the screen to stay in the exact same spot every time, showcasing the camera settings + a gap in between the top and bottom text to include the before/after photographs. All of this will be posted as an Instagram Reel, so the preset will allow me to stay within the safe borders of the app's HUD. I outline the area I'm talking about for visual reference. Hopefully, this makes sense! Thanks in advance!!

Hi everybody, I'm having a problem, when I record a VoiceOver inside Premiere it sounds really bad or like if it's being enhanced. I made sure that the right microphone input is selected like you can see in this image:So the mic is not the problem. The reason why I feel like it's enhancing it is because the input test bar doesn't move when I make a sound that is not a word.The thing is that I don't want my VoiceOver to be enhanced, I've tried everything but it is still sounding pretty bad.I don't know what to do, if somebody can please help me.
