Hi there. In premiere pro CC, I'm trying to link media that has been changed or moved to a project. The media I'm looking for is on a network drive. When I click on "locate media" I am unable to browse to the netwok drive as there are simply no drives showing up under the "network drives" dropdown. Any ideas on how to make Permiere see my network to locate these files? Thanks in advance. BB.
My current project is taking way too long to export. At first, I received a message that the music was low-res and not licensed. So, I replaced with royalty free music, but i keep getting an error when exporting. Error Code 5. Can someone help me figure out what is going on because even when I remove all music, it is still giving me an error message.
But I'm already on 24.5... Mod note: I changed the title of your bug report to reflect the actual issue.
Dear Adobe Support Team, I am encountering multiple issues with Adobe Premiere Pro, which is severely affecting my workflow. Here are the details: Application Crashes: The application crashes as soon as I open it. I can only manage to open it once, but it does not function as expected. Playback Issues: I am unable to play videos within the timeline. The playback simply doesn’t work. Rendering & Exporting Problems: Rendering and exporting are also not functioning. The software doesn’t allow me to complete these tasks. Error Messages: I received the following error messages (screenshot attached): "A generic mpg123 error." "An unspecified error occurred while performing a conform action on the following file: C:\Users\PRANJALI\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files\Ramadan Main.mp3 44100.cfa."
Hi everyone, I’ve been facing some frustrating bugs with the transcription feature in Adobe Premiere Pro. Occasionally, the transcript just disappears, forcing me to restart the program to get it back. Additionally, the autoscroll feature isn’t working correctly—it’s not syncing properly with the audio, making it difficult to follow along while editing. Has anyone else experienced these issues? If so, have you found any solutions or workarounds? This has been a significant disruption to my workflow, and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help!
This has been going on for a while and I've no clue what it could be. Things I've tried to fix this issue: - Getting a brand new monitor (and new HDMI Cable) - Turning off the GeForce overaly capture feature- Updating GeForce Drivers and making sure Premiere is up to date (although the issue has persisted throughout several premiere updates) It is random as far as when it appears and will appear on a video and then disapear and not reappear on the same video. Seems to be sessions where I don't notice it at all and then sessions where it's almost constant. That's all I can really think of atm. But nothing seems to work and I don't think it's a hardware issue. I haven't seen anyone else post about this which makes me wonder if I'm doing something but I'm truly at a lost for what could be causing this issue.
I'm trying to encode to HEVC, so Premiere (or Media Encoder) prompts me with a pop-up that says it's needs to install the codec. I click OK, but then another prompt comes up that says "Unable to install ...".It points to a path: "c:\Users\Public\Documents\AdobeInstalledCodecs\1.0\mc_enc_hevc.dll" and says that it cannot write to it. I've deleted the path (as suggested by the prompt) and restarted the app, but no luck. This problem isn't specific to HEVC though - it's universal for any codec that needs to be installed after the fact. I do notice though, that when restarting the app, it creates a folder in users\public\documents called "Public Documents" and not "Documents" - so I don't know if that's the problem. To note, I am the Admin on my system with full access to everything. I'd appreciate any assistance. Many thanks!

With the new 24.4 update, new mouse functionality was added to program/source monitors. Holding down the middle mouse button and moving the mouse is supposed to pan around the monitors, but instead, moving the mouse just zooms them in/out. Doesn't seem to be any setting to change this functionality so must be a bug.
Can you tell me what parameters to set for the BEST export for TickTock video? Preferably with a screenshot or specifying the items in the Export. Thanks for your help
Hi all this is probably a long shot but is it possible to export a transcript from Premier. get someone to edit the transcript not changing or adding any words, then reimport this edited transcript and the edited transcript then edits the time line? [Moderator fixed typo in title]
The stroke effect is causing "spikes" on my stroke effect. Works fine in photoshop so it's not an issue with the font itself Premiere Pro 2024Ver 24.6.1 build 2 Mac Sonoma 14.5Mac Studio 2023
Hello! I’m editing a video from a Zoom-recorded interview, but the interviewee’s camera quality was poor so the video came out grainy. I tried using the ‘Unsharp Mask’ feature as suggested in several tutorials, but it didn’t help much. Do you have any other suggestions? Other Adobe platforms to use? Thanks!
Hello all - This is my first post to the forum; I've been editing on Avid for 20+ years and am making the switch to Premiere, I'll be full of stupid questions to ask as I migrate. I'd like to know if there's a way to sort clips by multiple data fields. For example, I have subclips pulled from several sources that all have the same start timecode. I'd like to sort them in chronological order per source then source timecode. In Avid, I would first sort by video in, then name; in Premiere, the sort of any column overrides the previous sort. Or another way to look at it: can I custom sort in icon mode and have that transfer to list mode? I'd appreciate any help you can lend - Thanks! JLCAdobe Premiere Pro 14.3.1macOS Catalina 10.1506
This as raised it's ugly head again!Latest update of AE, ME 24.3 can't render (shows as missing with colour bars) for MXF files. They display fine in After Effects. Send the job to media encoder and no Joy.This is really frustrating, as we are a broascast organisation with100's of daily deadlines and work-arounds are not acceptable. OP1a MXF files are the only compatible format to seamlessly intergrate into our broadcast environmnet. Please fix this, and stop re-introducing old errors into new updates. We are not your BETA testers. Please fix it ASAP. Thankfully we only have one machine that has updated to this version,ThanksBrett
When I open an old project with log Video Premiere crashes immediately or when I create one and import log video, it takes forever to upload and then crashes. Do you have any idea what to do? I tried to rest the preferences, remove all the plugins, and also download an older version nothing changed
I have never had issues editing on my 2023 M3 Max, 16 core cpu, 40 core gpu, 48 gb of ram, until tonight. I edit roughly 20-30 videos a month among many other things and today all the sudden during this one project the cpu is at 100% while the memory is at 40-50% and the gpu is at 10%. My Macbook pro is running really slowly in premiere making it so I HAVE to render anything to be able to play it back and running at 1-4 fps... Any ideas or thoughts? It is extremely ittirating considering how much money I spent on this computer to not have these issues compared to my old 2018 imac with 16gb of ram and 6gb of video memory.

Hi @Mathias Moehl The attached script assists in creating new versions of sequences. It currently.... -Makes a copy of the selected sequence-Moves the new copy into an "old" folder-Renames the original, selected sequence "Test" I'm looking for help with the renaming part. I want to up-version the original, selected sequenceSo if my original, selected sequence is named Sequence_01I want it to be Sequence_02 after running the scriptThe copied version would still be _01 Any way to get the sript to recognize the number and go up one digit?

Hello everyone, I would like to display a timer on the top left screen of a soccer (football) video. Unfortunately the timecode is in SMPTE format (HH:MM:SS...). For a football match I need a format like MM:SS so that the minutes can go over 60 (because a match lasts 90 minutes). Is there a way to change this? I do not have the option in the format menu. Hey all. I'm trying to switch from Mac to Windows for the second time in two years. The first time didn't go so well. This time... not so much. I'm beginning to wonder if it is, indeed, possible to use Adobe products on Windows machines. ANYONE out there have any luck? Ha!So here's the deal. Whenever I go into the Playback settings in Premiere and turn on my external monitor, Premiere locks up and the video in both the Source and Project monitors freeze. The external monitor goes black, doesn't display anything. When I try to shut down Premiere, the software locks up and I have to force quit. I found a similar posting about this here Crash when trying to use external monitor , but I don't have the Sonic Suite installed. Realtek Audio does power my microphones, speakers, headsets, etc. I have tried disabling everything Realtek I could find, but it does not help. I have tried turning off CUDA, using the software only
I did some searching around my topic... it came up a few different times but I did not see the issue actually resolved, so I'm posting it new here. In Premier Pro 2023 v.23 (I'm on an iMac - iOS v. Ventura 13.6.7) - normally in the other Adobe apps like Photoshop & Illustrator, when you go to save or export, it chooses the most recently used directly as the output location. Not so with Priemier. As you can see from the following screensots, when I'm working in a project where I have already exported a version, it does indeed go to the most recent file location. But when I'm starting a new project, the default location is users/username/Documents.... EVEN though when I create a new project, I set the porject location. It's annoying. Is there a preference to turn this on or something? It's bene several years now since this issue was reported... I'd think it would be addressed by now. Thanks
One of the great features while using Productions is that once the media is ingested, it doesn't duplicate the clips or the folders when you use them on different projects within the same production. But in the last few months, this has changed. When I try to copy/paste a sequence from one project to another, i also duplicates the folders with the media and multicam sequences used in that sequence.I've notices that it only does it when the sequence contains a multicam clip.If I (or any othe editor working on the same production) want to change/edit/correct/update the original multicam clip, it doesn't take any effect on my new sequence because it is using de duplicated multicam as a reference. Why is that? Will it be fixed? We have updated the Premiere Pro several times, but it keeps happening.
Hello, does anyone have advice on this issue please:I shoot on Panasonic (mostly 1080p) and capture on Mac (OS Big Sur 11.5.2 and recently on macOS sonoma 14.5). As I capture from SDcards to mac the files automatically appear as .MTS files that I can then edit with Premiere (Pro 22.0.0 on the older mac and 24.6.0 on the newer). I have only recently started to use Media Browser when importing files, before I would just use the Import-command. I am working on super large art projects (shot over 20 years so maybe you can imagine) and a few times I've had an issue with audio files getting messed up in big projects (as I have hundreds of files with same .0000 names etc). I am careful with my folders so most of the time it's been okay. I've considered starting to rename my files after capturing them to avoid these syncing problems, but I'm only starting to take that step now. I got an impression from some discussions that it would be better to use the Media Browser rather than the Import-com
